@LuvCUTS and anyone else who thinks this is dirty, please watch this clip, starting around the 4:10 mark. Brendan Shanahan who is trying to clean up (some might say pussify) the game, has no problem with this hit. Please cease your whining. And you're welcome.
Shanahan reviewed the hell out of this thing and found no violation. He even commented that Beauchemin made an efforts to (a) get in front of Fisher before initiating the contact and (b) bend his knees and come from a low angle into the shoulder.
I'm all in favour of monster bodychecks but that struck me as being an attempt to injure. It reminded me a lot of Steve Moore's hit on Naslund that resulted in the Bertuzzi incident. Beauchemin comes out of nowhere.
okay, how is a hit to the head a clean hit? it was also blindside. how is it shoulder to shoulder. i watched it 10 times!! i can see a shoulder to the front of fisher's shoulder. then, his head snaps to the left. how is this a clean hit? he hit fisher in the head, period. 3 game suspension at least

ok, Youtube won't let me link the video. Go to NHL.com and search for Shanahan Cisco NHL Live. Nothing but praise from Shanahan regarding this hit.

Clean hit, and then there is a penalty. Im really starting to hate the officiating in the NHL. It is a clean hit, no doubt in my mind.
