1.-i like Gencer most, as always when she is in a contest,

2.-i loved Galvany's acuto but that's it,

3.-and stoyanova i had not heard before but i liked her, i´ll check more of her

Well, I love Gencer, so she gets Nr. 1, Nr. 2 is Mosuc (was there that night and she was amazing!), Nr. 3.... hm, difficult... its a role for Stoyanova, but she sings beaitufuly, so, lets her have Nr. 3. Galvany is OK, but nothing special here...

She was one of the greatest soprano of the 70th.

Elena Mosuc was the diva of our days: I heard in Bruxelles an amasing Lucia (whith an E flat at the end of the duo with edegardo).

Lucia in Bruxelles: It was not an E flat - Elena sang a high f with Fermate! :-)

Gencer without a doubt. Effortless, conveys the juvenile character of Bolena best, and sticks totally to the written score.

Anderson's voice is impressive but unwieldy. A young Gencer is excellent.

I saw Anderson in her role debut in 1999, and she wasn't nearly this secure. I was so suprised to see that Anderson was still singing Bolena in 2007. The top of her register is very tight now, but even back in 99 she just barely had an Eb left. I heard one of her last Lucia's and I thought she wouldn't have much of a career left after 1999. I guess I was wrong!

@Dymension I think you're talking about her 2001 traviata, I'm glad to hear she was in better voice when you saw her. I didn't go to new york for that performance, but I remember hearing it on the radio.
