I like the jingle when its in NICKELODEON'S commercials (the only ones i enjoyed were the old 1979-1999 ones and the one sung by Victoria), but when its in the production logo it sorta feels like the jingle is being overused. And it also cuts out the ending theme of most cartoons. I used to hear the last bit of the end credits music for Spongebob Squarepants, now all i hear is that production logo jingle. I really hope that this logo doesn't last. Its been two years, so its not old yet.

I can't believe they took away our Orange Splat! Also, what happened to the classic cartoons? Why were they removed? How they went from Nickelodeon Orange Splat to Nick Modern Logo I will never understand. Now all they have is live action.

The spalt is still used on the main nickelodeon channel.

Just watch the watermark at the bottom and you'll see the splat turn into

the modern logo or also known as ^^^^^^ that.

I guess every corporation is going "simple yet effective" style with their new logos, like Nick. The font is very round, it's flexible, harmless, yet I do miss the days of a shape-shifting splat. But hey, it retains the classic jingle and orange color, so it remains being faithful and very different at the same time.

It started sucking when Spongebob and TeenNick debuted in 1998, slowly killing off all good Nicktoons (including long-term mainstay, Rugrats) and replacing it with tween garbage ala Disney and lifeless cartoons with no heart (ex: Fanboy and Chum Chum).

Nickelodeon UK launched 1 september 1990 so its 19 years old

Nickelodeon UK had the splat till February 15th 2010

i Liked the old nickelodeon logo the bumpers in the UK were weird

but nick UK got really kiddy when 2009 came along and as soon as they changed that logo at 5:00AM and i saw it it went beep for 4 seconds then suddenly i see a Nickelodeon logo in front of me and it was just a typing logo

But im glad that its changed a bit

I'll admit nick also( more or less) sucks in the eyes of kids too, because I know there were some shows in the 90's that I sort of disliked ! But nick is still, and always has been, the number one channel for kids and teens! I know the network seems a little weak right now but that doesn't it sucks completely.
