wait, ali krieger is german, why didnt see play in the german team? is it because you need to be a citizen of that country in order to play on the team?
@DrSurprise LOL you're kidding right? Seeing as she's of German descent ("Krieger" is German for "warrior", and is sometimes related to "Krüger", as in Freddy), the vid title is just a fun way of addressing her as "Ms. Krieger"; in complete "Deutsche".
gosh i went to that game against bayern münchen and i saw ali and i was really sad she left :(
she actually lived really close to me...i wish i'd known where she lived then i would have knocked at her door and said:"hi ali i love you...bye!" haha :D
i use to learn german when i was a kid, but then stopped. I knew how to ask "are you married" and "do you want some water". So if ever in life i get a german speaking girl in my house ill ask "Are you married ? and can i get you some water"? lol.
@shaqdaddy11 you used to live in germany shaqdaddy? just like kobe lived in italy & is fluent in italian. also in germany there's a lot u.s. military bases & one has to leave the base & be with the german civilian population. don't worry shaqdaddy it's all good & in the states espnnews did a special on the 1999 women's world cup & tonight espn2 is doing an encore presentation
@drsmooth0 No i did not live in germany. The reason i came to learn german words as a child was because my uncle was taking german lessons. So whatever he learned in the lessons, he would teach me. So that way i started learning sentence and words. But then my uncle stopped his lessons and my parents asked if i wanted to take lessons for real. But i said i didnt want to take the lessons. Anyways i actually saw the 1999 world cup special this afternoon on ESPN.
@OldTownTwin1 i just know only wasser, fussball, bundeslinga, deutsh and deustshland. the french translation was good luck against France in Frankfurt & the final against Japon/Sweden. Win the 3rd womens championship A few goodbyes in French, Italian(see you later), Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and finally this one i had to look up in German but thank you anyway dankeschon. now if you're talking about Ali she's on the native speaker level
And while we watch this...she converts the beautiful PK to send us to the Semis. The embodiment of the American Spirit, never gave up and took her penalty as cool as could be.
@AppReviewa it will be better if she wins on july 17th back home in Frankfurt don't worry Ali you'll be back after the olympic games next year. Allez Ali Krieger et Bonne Chance contre le France en Frankfurt et le Final contre le Japon/Suede. Gagnez le 3eme championnat feminin Au Revior Arriverderci Adios Tchao(ciao) Auf wiedersehen sorry my German is not that great.
Ich Liebe Dich Ali. Kriegs has a really cute way of saying bye in German.
