I love this piece! I just picked up piano alil over a year ago and hopefully at some point down the road I'll be able to even consider trying this, I also heard riding a airplane used to be a euphoric feeling of freedom, but since 9/11 the new procedures of security take away from that:/
he was inspired by his dream of a peacful time in future... as all dreams are very idealistic, this piece also gives us a glimps at his idealistic aesthetic picture of the future...
He sais that he calls it the "Airplane Sonata", "as a symbol, the airplane seemed most indicative of that future into which I wanted to escape."
