  • did you paint minifigs' mouths, or edited them digitally?

  • J' adore c' est comme dans le film mais en lego !

  • 3:06 LOL, well done! You even got the mustache!

How long did this take you to make?

  • what do u use on vader to make all blue and crap cause it looked like it the same stuff the used on the movie

  • I liked this. Do you have any plans to do the Battle of Yavin/Death Star Run?

  • Perfect!

  • Awsome!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DaisyAzuras Thanks a lot for your comment! Indeed, like I said in the description it misses 20 shots. But knowing the outdoor sequences of the battle of Hoth count 190 shots and compare to the others lego films of this scene, I reckoned this title pretty representative of my video though.

  • The title says shot for shot but it's missing several pieces from many clips that got cut short. I will say this is amazingly well done but the title is misleading.

  • good!

  • 5 out of 5 stars....

  • hopefully you bexome famous for your patience on these. an icon in brickfilming

  • Wow Dang!you guys did awesome in this, sometimes it's even hard to believe that you guys did this in stop motion.including how many at at walkers you have.Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @Teridax2000 Cheers buddy, I keep going on this way! ps: I've got only one AT ;)

  • @musclemusemuseum Now that is just awesome! I have one, too. And I noticed there is a lego piece that is supposed to be placed on the top of the head. I don't know if you missed that during you're construction but hey,the effects are awesome! How long did it take you to finish it? Did you notice the lego piece? (just to be curious)

  • that was cool!!!

  • AMAZING WORK ! It's incredible !

  • amazing...

    this is just beautiful <3

  • is it sad i know you left some stuff out loll. this is friggin sweet

  • you rock man

  • Wow, great work on this! :D

  • Dude this is amazing! Thos AT-AT's are fully operational!! *Return of the Jedi Reference* lol. I also have the motorized AT-AT but only one :(

  • @1legomaster ^^ !! Hey, I've got only one AT as well fellow and I thank the green screen for my wallet! Cheers for your comment :)

  • this is awesome... :-)

  • When's your next star wars video coming out?

  • @thehowlingcommando54 Unfortunately the last week I had some troubles with my camera, I hope to solve this week to be able to film. Anyway I reckon I'll need about 6-8 weeks of work for this new project! Coming out in April ;)

  • I believe this is one of the most best well-done stopmotion combine with computer effects. I do call this a masterpiece.

  • @LegoRepublicese Thanks a lot! It's been almost one year now that I made this video, I'm watching it now, there are so many things I don't like, that I could do better! I'm improving the quality of the animation and this effects for my next videos coming soon.

  • You know this was epic! Thank you for doing this. I can imagine how much time it took.

  • best hoth vid ive saw 1st place

  • 200000 views!! That's wicked! I'm shooting new stop-motion sequence, the first of many others this year. A huge thanks to everybody supporting my work.

  • Awesome job! Was an absolute delight to watch

  • That was AMAZING! Great job!

  • awesome

  • thats really nice

  • it is twilight

  • Despite the missing shots you stated in the description, that was extremely well done. I do some stop motion myself, but never anything on this scale. I'm gonna have to subscribe.

  • 7 people had the same fate as Dak Ralter

  • 190,000

Youtube bloggers get like 100,000 per week.

Wow this took a lot of work, but yet

those bloggers only blablabl over things.

Congratz on your video man, you deserve a lot more views.

  • @Fetcha200 You're right :) ! Anyway thanks to you viewers watching my vid and enjoy it! With more videos I'll get more views, i'm working on it ;)

  • im speechless, period. This is EPIC. The editing and exactness of this to the film is perfect. i make lego vids but not as good as this. Did you use a green screen?

  • @HelleMayC Indeed, I used green screen (for about 80% of the film the keying technique was used). Keep going make vids, you'll be able to make stuff like that ;)

  • I kept forgetting they were legos ^_^

  • great job

  • Not so bad? No, this is EPIC! Great job. You should use this on your resume and get a job in the post production field or in film making. Natural talent and experience are worth more then education.

  • NICE!

  • THIS IS AWESOME YOU SHOULD GET 1,000,0000 suscribers

  • Genius!!

  • That was mega epic!

  • You, Are, A, LEGO GOD!

  • Impressive. Most impressive.

  • @bookworm1138 ^^ ..said with the memorable voice of the dark side. I like it, thank you :)

  • Very good for your first effort. :-)

  • Wow, I'm completely speechless, I've never seen such an awesome lego movie before O_o

  • The words. Oh. My. God.

  • that was really WIZARD!

  • @KY0UJlN Gandalf filming Star Wars? No I don't think so ^^. Cheers!

  • Awesome, if you feel like giving up the next year of your life i'd love to see the whole saga done in Lego!!!

  • @sonofklickman14 Unfortunately only one year, alone, to remake the whole saga it's simply impossible I reckon, even with the force ^^. However, right now I'm shooting a new lego Star Wars sequence, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as this one. Anyway, during this year I expect to film other SW battle scenes and try some new stuff with other lego maybe. Keep watching my channel in case ;)

  • Awesome!

  • The best battle scene ever!!!

  • Love it

  • That was great! Really well done!

  • Wow!!! That was Awesome!!!

  • This was epically awesome. Not even epic- more than epic! It must have cost a lot of money too!

  • @MrFasolia Hi! To answer you, not so much.. Indeed lego are expensive!! So I have to keep in mind to remake sequences that doesn't cost me a lot. And for this battle I've just had to get one AT-AT, one AT-ST, one snowspeeder, one echo base set, and to use some of my old white bricks. It's one of my reasons, I've chosen this Star Wars scene for my first attempt of lego stop motion video. Thanks for your comment :)

  • Simply epic. Words cannot describe just how awesome that is.

  • how did you made that, it is perfect

  • Comment removed

  • @1:26, that walker's back left leg is having some issues.

Great work and I thank you for taking the time to make this!

  • @phildebrand2 Thanks to you for taking the time to watch my video!

  • i love the film its bettler than the original one

  • this must have taken forever but it was worth it. it's amazing

  • Well done. Freaking awesome

  • Outstanding work

  • Simply Amazing.

  • Only 170k viewers? This is a great video and should get more viewers

  • This is great!!!!!!

  • how long did it take you to make this?

  • @lumpynator3 Lot of time (several hundred hours), but not so long when you love what you do ;)

  • @musclemusemuseum

    wow, that's dedication

  • its the best movie i ever seen in my life

  • That is quite simply beyond words impressive... No word of a lie but there were more than a few times where I had to remind myself that this is LEGO and not the actual film. Your attention to detail is simply outstanding. I hope some good comes of all this work.

  • @myoldreteacher So good to read comment like this after christmas, thanks a lot!! Yeah want to keep as much details as possible, thanks to you noticing this.

  • im speechless, all i can say is that this deserves more than subcribing.

  • @mesofrax2011 Cheers

  • It's excellent ! Well done !

  • i have one word 'Excellent!"

  • That was amazing!!!!!!

  • Fantastic! What a tribute to the original greatness...with a new, comic quality born out of the use of LEGOS. I marveled again at LEGO-Luke's bravery, laughed aloud at the hologram of LEGO-Vader, and smiled, albeit sadly, when the LEGO rebel gets shot by the walker and tumbles into the snow. Congratulations on your achievement!

  • @ashokupad So good to see your comment, to see people enjoying my achievement! Thank you so much!

  • dude that awesome

  • holy shit! That was amazing! Good job!

  • make the death star ii battle!

  • This should have more views

  • Just amazing! Best Lego Video I've seen so far

  • THIS IS THE BEST BATTLE OF HOTH IVE EVER SEEN (AND I HAVE SEEN EMPIRE STRIKES BACK) im suscribeing

  • This is incredibly well-done. I can't imagine the hours that went into this.

  • no words, just great !

  • Hi guys!! In january i gonna shot my new star wars lego stop-motion video! Just want to say that this time it will be shorter than this video, but in HD and it'll be not choppy!! I'm so exciting to start to work on it with all my new stuff. I hope you'll enjoy my next lego videos so. Anyway waiting for that, thanks to you to watch, rate and comment this remake of the battle of Hoth that I've done :)

  • @musclemusemuseum how do you get there mouth to move did u buy special lego peices?

  • @TheEliteShark No! I've only used black mask layer with after effect ;)

  • take it easy man this almost dead on accurate and your affects are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's perfect!!

  • what can i say.fantastic, extremly well done.every bit as good as the actuall movie.....sir stand up and take a bow....just amazing

  • How the? thats amazing

  • This was amazing!

  • It's truly a masterpiece

  • You deserve a subscripting *click*

  • @obenrob You reckon!? It can be a good idea, thanks ;)

  • This was awesome! The green screen and motion capture was great, you have to tell me what set up you had for the snowspeeder motion capturing!

    Should have waaaayyy more views.

  • Good work ;D

  • Can u do the duel between anakin and obi-wan?

  • @TheMSpence89 I thought about this once, but after i saw the short Nick Durron's video about this scene, and i reckon he's done an amazing job, so i don't wanna spend my time to do something already done ;)

  • okay. you don't have to go out and buy tons of lego sets, just to recreate the whole battle of endor space and the moon. I greatly appreciate your work, I'm very impressed. I found this on bricksinmotion . com.

I was thinking, do you take lots of pictures to make a scene? Because in my videos it's a little bit choppy, but it's still smooth. And, I can't add background music. I know that you used the actual recordings from the movies. Lastly, the images are low quality. I have a good camera.

  • @shumpu123 Yes the video is made by images, and scenes can be as smooth as you animate the figures. Message me for full details. You can get background music by downloading the MP3 version and throwing it in a video(can be done in WIndows Movie Maker for beginners). The images' quality is depending on the camera and how close the camera focuses on the object in front of it, that's why when you take a pic of something too close, everything blurs. Thought this would help.

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 Yea thanks. I just need some feedback with my videos. I have a costly and good camera, but I just don't know why it blurs. I don't zoom though.

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 i agree with all of this!! And shumpu123 if you can use a manual focus it's better like this you'll be sure to focus where you want, that's a good advantage that i didn't have for my hoth battle video.. thanks guys for your comments ;)

  • i love that video, how can you do that

  • Amazing. Congratulations

  • where can u buy cheap legos

  • @Legoinator100 Hi! well cheap legos? 'don't really know, i've found some sets that i used on this video on ebay, otherwise the rest i bought in a shop

  • Just amazing !

  • in the movie there were five (like yours) but they only blew up two.(like yours)

  • In a word....fabulous.

  • Great work on this!

  • Pizzamovies , Umad bro ?

  • Very very well done!! I think the reason why there are not more likes is that like me, I was so engrossed by the dedication and utter brilliance of the video, they forgot to like. I have now.

  • @easyworship Whatever the reasons, all viewers like you, commenting like this, these things i appreciate more than my views number. If my works is able to touch some people like you, that's the most important for me. Cheers man!!

  • bom.veja os meus vídeos

  • Best lego video!

  • This was very impressive....keep it up

  • why does this not have more views!!!!?????? i subscribed

  • Oh my goodness!!! I had no idea this video would be that awesome!!! Perfectly done!!!! Thanks so much for doing this!!!!

  • @jerman2003 Thank you so much for the fact you had been surprised like this, that's a really good reward for me, for my work. Thanks again mate!

  • my favirote part is when the walker was tied up and it pushed its lego forward then fell.

  • Whoa!

  • Impressive...most impressive!!

I love how detailed everything is! I hope you take this as a compliment, but it was like I was watching the original movie! Everything was so fluid (despite being stop-motion animated)!

    Cheers buddy!

  • @Fearlessdoink Thanks a lot buddy for your comment!! That's so cool to read this. My next video i'll try to make it fluidest even stop stop-motion animated ;). I gonna increase the frames per second this time

  • HAHA awesome!

  • HOOWAA THAT GOT HIM!

  • Love the fact that at 5:23 you replicated the little detail of the walker taking that cheap shot at a single rebel right before blasting the generator to Hades.

  • @SirWilly77 and i love the fact that someone can notice those little details :). Thanks fellow ;)

  • cool

  • Man, you deserve WAY more views. Such amazing work! Good, wait no. GREAT JOB.

  • I love that you even got the AT-AT "strike a pose" hit on the snowspeeder at 5:12. Hats off to you for making this.

  • from a star wars fan to another... amazing.

  • Man watching that made me think that must have taken at least a month. It is awesome how you got the whole thing to work

  • @Sharckboy56 if only i spend just one month on it ^^ .. Honestly, at the moment you have an idea in your mind that you can't forget it and you asbolutely wanna see how will be your vision for real, well you spent time without to feel the time running out :) . That's one thing that i've discovered and i appretiate a lot when i'm making videos ;)

  • Damn, this is, wow, just got a subscriber bro, nice job!

  • @LieutenantIrsric Thanks a lot mate to follow my work :)

  • this is pretty damn good

  • @musclemusemuseum amazing job man!

  • the force will be with you for this.brilliant

  • 'just wanna say thanks again to all viewers who appreciate my work! You really push me to make new videos coming soon ;)

  • DUDE THAT WAS EPIC !!!!!!

  • you should do the sarlacc scene next,or death star II battle from return of the jedi

  • @karinka123 I have some ideas in my mind! 2012 you will be able to see that ;)

  • will someone please give this guy a few million dollars to do the original trilogy in full :)

  • @JodyWiggle Ahah I should ask to the 20th century fox maybe ^^. Thanks for you enthusiasm ;)

  • @JodyWiggle if that happened i would bet they would be even better than the actuall movies...and im not a betting man, thats how confident i am of just how good they would be

  • @JodyWiggle

Only if I'm allowed to rework the script so the dialogue is rewrote, Maul lasts well into Episode II, Count Poo Poo is a bit player, Jar Jar has only 2 lines/scenes, and the Hayden Christiansen is allowed to come back and do his stiff, Lego-like performance...

  • @ROOKTABULA ^^ ahah i agree with you! But in a sens, even with all these little things that fan we are, desappointed us. A master piece stays a master piece (good and bad things make part of this) I reckon, a better way to spend your time is to work on your own script, of your own story, of a new universe. It's time for us, to creat a new huge saga ;D ( I'm get tired of all those movie sequels in cinema!)

  • Great....Excellent work

  • What boss
