What a bunch of bull--dracula was born out of a nightmare bram stoker had about a vampire king waking and crawling out of a crypt. He didn't call him dracula for quite a while then came across the name "Dracula" and immediately changed his vampire's name. The fictional dracula doesn't have practically anything to do with the historical dracula cause bram stoker didn't KNOW much about the historical dracula, just enough to fake it. He just liked the name!
@zyxquark Wait...Blade: Trinity is not an accredited resource for reliable historical data, on the "fictional" vampire based on Vlad the Impaler., luckily I've still got a copy of Batman vs. Dracula, because BvD was written with great respect for Stoker's source material.
The video was made for fun, and as to the voice-over I simply liked Ryan Reynolds' campy delivery.
On the other hand, maybe there were really vampires in Babylon & Atlantis too. Get over your self Professor Van Zyxquark,
@briang9581 How funny, I think i alslo have a copy of batman vs. dracula--or someone vs. dracula. it's good to know we're broadening our intellectual scope. and it was quincy who was my mother's great uncle, not van helsing. please remember, dracula was killed by a texan with a bowie knife. thankyou for your attention. oh, and, by the way, everyone remembers dracula's daughter but it was his son who was really scary. he now lives in dallas in a graveyard condominium.
I'm a little puzzled not to see John Carradine, Louis Jourdain, Jack Palance or Klaus Kinski--all of whom played Dracula in the period specified (although Gary Oldman, for example, did not).
Just promise me you're not including Leslie Nielsen.
@zahir13 , Thanks for your comment. This video was parred down from a longer one that also included Dracula as portrayed by Gary Oldman, Gerard Butler & Dominic Purcell, covering films through 2004. The first minute and 15 seconds is meant to introduce the lineup of the original vid, that was to long for you tube. I did not include every actor to have been Dracula during the time period, so I could focus on my favorites, (obviously I'm a Christopher Lee fan).
@zahir13, The last 13 seconds feature footage from 1992-2004 (leaving a large gap between Langella & Oldman). I also intentionally left out the actors from Dracula II: Ascension (2003) & Dracula III: Legacy (2005), as don't view them as true sequels to Dracula 2000, I'm hope to make more videos soon and I will take your advise into account, thank you again.
@zahir13 , I meant to say before, John Carradine, Louis Jourdain, Jack Palance (liked him in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) & Klaus Kinski are all fine actors, I remember Carradine and Palance in the role, but need to imdb Jourdain & Kinski to find the titles and years of their portrayals. (Please forgive my ignorance)

Cool Vid. Love it. It is cool that you havent featured a Dracula like Rudolf Martin, Richard Roxburgh or Andrew Bryniarski.
