@killerz2975 Kinda...its the plucking of the strings on a tailed bridge guitar (Troy recently used Jaguar and Jazzmaster - Both being tailed bridge guitar)
I was reading the interview in french after this show that they had to adjust certain intstruments and the sound for broadcast. This included Joey's cymbals, he was bummed about it.
Well, I try to take music in its context and even though I prefer the Queens style to the Stones, to say they are better is tough, considering one band helped revolutionize dual guitar, played varying genres and styles, and were a galvanizing force in the 60's and 70's drug culture. You can't compare ANYTHING Queens has done to the historical importance of Altamont. I appreciate the cynicism though.
best song in the album, i am high with this song, XD me podria drogar meses escuchar esta cancion por no decir la eternidad es tan buena este album esta mucho mejor que el anterior, incluso la letra es precisa el significado, ¿no quieres ir al vacio? yo no ire solo ¿nos seguirias? BEST SONG EVER
i always forget comments begin at the bottom not the top and I get really confused when the conversation starts with RHCP on a QOTSA video. but I agree. stadium arcadium was very disappointing
Pretty true. I was a HUGE chili pepper fan and when Stadium Arcadium came out i was like... thats it? Though John Frusciante is still one of my fav guitarists of all time i highly prefer his solo stuff over Chili Peppers.
i think the rest of the band is great, too

Au Revoir, Adieu, Goodnight
I'm too wrong, to get right
But I can't wait forever
I've always been alone
A fool believes he's clever
Don't you wanna go into the Hollow?
I won't go alone
Aren't you gonna follow?

I thought the sound in the beginning was plucking the strings between the nut and the pegs, not a keyboard.
killerz2975 2 years ago
i thought that it was a steel drum on the record. they have to replicate it live somehow

It's Dean Fertita, the keyboard player. He used to play with The Raconteurs too.

how did they change them?
PimpSonnyMax 2 years ago
They just used the controls in the sound booth and Joey adjusted them before hand.

I grew up with RHCP, they went the way of Aerosmith, cleaned up, and wrote boring songs.
It happens after kids and the need to get healthy.
Not many bands rcok after 40. Maybe Josh will make it. His bandmates are over 40, or at least two of them in this video are. Cross your fingers.

Still good though.

Queens are the best band in the late '90s into 2007. Them, Mastodon, RHCP, and Coheed are the best bands around IMO.

Suprised how little Dean actually plays keyboards. And according to the show it's once again Into the Hollows, anyway, it was great.
