David is a wonderful player...and incredible at what he does. But he is no better or worse than Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Tommy Emmanuel and anyone else you care to name.

Such lists are silly. How do they determine who is 'best'? The truth is that I like tomatoes a lot and other people don't. Determining tomatoes to be the greatest food ever is as objective as many of the discussions as to who is 'the best'. They had a vision and the courage to be themselves.

@anteturban Well... i was fascinated by Gilmour... if you try to play like him, you'll see his style is more artisan than technical. He said in an interview that he feel limited as guitar player (or something like that). I mean, he's very good, but his merit is to did that extrange cosmic cold approach to the blues. Pink Floyd melt progressive with blues with rock, in a time where there was a big gap to be filled in the popular music.
