This video was informative thank you. However, I would suggest that along with being informative that your video please portray those suffering from such mental disorders in a humanizing manner. The scene at 7:00-7:15 is an image that many receiving mental health services are unfortunately associated with. Please help to reduce stigmatization of those with mental health disorders by portraying them in a more dignified way- It is a continuing battle against social acceptance/perception thank you.
@NarutoMangaFans1213 A person's abuse history is NOT a criteria to be diagnosed as DID. So yes -- someone may have DID regardless of history. Note also that significant memory loss IS a symptom -- i.e. someone may not remember being abused and have DID, whether or not they were ever abused. Abuse history is CORRELATIVE, not necessarily CAUSATIVE for exhibiting symptoms of DID. To prove cause would require an inhumane experiment.

There are 16 of us that we know of altho there could be more. Its so hard living with this when all the shrinks want to do is load us up on drugs and turn us into a mindless zombie. We are trying a holistic approach now because of the drug side affects.
@AuntieDisestablished I worked on my issues with a great deal of self-help books, raw determination, and the fact that we absolutely wanted to get along as a happy internal family. Thankfully I was able to have 9 months of in-patient treatment when I was quite young, but nowadays hospitalization is increasingly difficult. :( Check out kinhost.org for self-help info by multiples for multiples.
We laughed out loud at the average number of alters fact, as we are much more than 10. Overall, it was as accurate as you can get without living it! Nice job. And...cool animation!
@fiddler32 A long time ago our headcount was as low as 16 -- briefly it was 8. Now it's more like 73, but that includes "fragments" that wouldn't by any means be called "people" right now. The headcount matters much less than internal communication and acceptance.

@Talkingcamara2 It is not too uncommon for them to remember what happens when an alter is in control. Some say they remember it as if it was a dream.
