Duchowicz, in the books, the end of the second chapter (Hannibal II, the movie) is very different. It's in the book that their "love" (a huge respect between them very different in the book) born really. The true story has been modified in the movie to permite to the director to realise other movies. (sory, my english is horrible ^^)
She loves him and he loves her? Is it a false interpretation? They respect each other (a big respect and close strange link - maybe queer friendship) but where is their love? Maybe I don't know something beacuse I didn't read books about Hannibal (but I plane) but in film I didn't see any love.
BTW - "He's a lion. She's a lamb." - the magnificent comparison.
