It's impossible to unlock hinged cuffs by yourself if you actually put them on correctly... When a law enforcement officer such as myself puts a pair on someone, behind the back, the back of your hands face each other(your palms face outwards, they do not face each other), and the side with the key-hole faces up, making it just about impossible to unlock them yourself, even with the key.
Actually my dad was a former cop from YRP Department District #1 and owns a pair of hinged and chain link and the space between the hinged is 2.00" where as the chain link is 2.80" (S&W M-100 Handcuffs)
BTW in case ur wondering .80" is less than 13/16ths of an inch so the difference is actually a lot more if ur making a vid like this. get ur facts straight b4 u say some bs bout handcuffs.
Don't listen to the critics bud. Hats off to you fo not using fake or trick handcuffs. Using the real thing with double locks is a great touch! Keep practicing nad getting harder stuff all the time. You're off to a good start. Practice them behind your back with the key holes facing away from your hands. It is possible. Start practicing with the key at first and then move into picking them with a bobby pin or something. Keep at it, you're doing great.

Simply turning the handcuffs so that the keyholes are facing away from your hands would have prevented you from picking the handcuffs.
When you're going to claim that you can escape from handcuffs, try using them as intended and as the manufacturer recommends.
All you managed to do is escape from handcuffs that weren't properly put on you.
Time to go back to the drawing board and try again.
