Another one that I remember from this series was about the relationship between a grandmother and grandson. I would really like it if someone would upload that one!
My brother was 13 years older than me...this makes me think of him so much! I hope he has now found the peace of mind in Heaven that he never found when he was alive! Love you, Charlie 1949-1995! ^_^
awwww too bad they don't make commericials like this anymore...it really tugs at your heartstrings with the sappiness, but I imagine it must have been highly effective
boy do i wish i had qrown upd during the 80's so i didnt have to wait almost 30 years since it was realeased to find these things!!! lol SUCH a great commercial. i recently wrote McDonalds telling them 2 bring these older commercials back!!! WHOS W/ ME????
I remember this from when I was little and it still is one of my favorite commercials ever! And it still makes me cry. Thanks for posting this little gem.
it wasnt a wedding receiption she was homecoming queen it represents the 2 kids growing up and actually the big brother watching his little sister grow up. i remember this commecial from my childhood it the only one i remember it reminds me of how my son and daughter are right now she is a tag along little tomboy
I've been looking for this for a couple of years - it's my favorite McDonalds commercial ever! My kids make fun of me 'cause I cry every time I watch it!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
yeah she'd probably go through childhood obeasity then when she's an adult, she is on dialisis and is missing a leg. and she is 400 pounds overweight. lol
btw, can anyone tell me where to find the mcdonalds commercial from the 80's with the beginning slogan being "girls, girls, girls"? I've been looking for that one forever!
Oh my god, I can't believe my big ass still cry after this commercial. it bought back so many memories of that time period. Thank you so much for posting this.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this commercial!! I have looked and looked EVERYWHERE for it. I never thought I'd see it again, either. This made me cry the first time I saw it on TV and, funny enough, more than 20 yrs later, I'm still crying!! =)
this commercial used to make me sad when I was younger, but it was one of my favorites...everytime I saw a McDonalds commercial this one would cross my mind...I used to think I would never see this commercial ever again, wow!
February 28, 1983 was the premier of this most touching commercial ever which was shown during the series finale of M*A*S*H. I remember this commercial even more than the end of the greatest television show of all time ; M*A*S*H.
I love this commerical! My parents videotaped Wizard of Oz when I was a little girl and this commercial was on the tape... so during the million times I would watch WOZ over and over, this commercial remains in my mind.... so precious and it makes me cry!
This is one of my favorite commercials of all time. I have five brothers but this commercial was special between me and my older brother just above me. I'm 37, and he's 40 now; and I'm sure it's still special to the both of us. Thanks for the memories.
I first saw this commercial when I was 4 or 5 (and I am 32 today) back in 81 or 82 and I have remembered it all of these years! It has always been my favorite commercial EVER!! On one of my trips to NYC I made a special trip to the Museum of TV and Radio specifically to look up this commercial. Thank you SO MUCH for posting it! I wish McDonalds still did commercials like this!!!
I believe the lyric is ......a me too tag along tomboy making a scene. I had this commercial taped along with the last episode of M*A*S*H, so ive seen this commercial alot. Hope this helps.
This is one of the best McDonald's commercials I remember. I still remember every word, and it still brings tears to my eyes, the concept. Thanks for sharing. It is definately one of my favorites, and rated AWESOME!
Oh, I love this commercial! I never forgot one word of the lyrics and am so thankful to you for uploading it here. Now I can save it and watch it..and CRY MY EYES OUT...whenever I wish. Thanks so much!!
Good commercial, can't believe i've never seen this one before and im 30. At any rate, would've been hilarious at the end if she gave him the finger :o)
Thank you!!! I'm so glad someone finally put this on Youtube. I loved this commerical. I'm 8 years and 11 months older than my brother but the early part of this commercial reminded me of us back in 1981. The ad touched me back then and I was only between 9 and 10. I love this McD's commerical along with The Recital.
Wow this made me cry like a baby! I too once had a big brother who loved me but he got married and his stupid wife hates our family and has coaxed him away from us:(
I cry too becuase I can see the brother and sister in the video in my own children. I have 2 boys ages 14, and 11 who ADORE their little sister who is almost 2 and has been battling epilespy since 7 months of age. Also it brings back a time when something as simple as Mc.Donalds could make me so happy. Ahh, to be little again!
I remember this commercial when I was in high school and I loved it. It reminded me of my brother who is ten yrs older than me. I've actually been looking for it and finally someone posted. thanks
I remember this commercial when I was in college. In fact, I was audio-taping the M*A*S*H finale in 1982 (yes, we actually audio taped stuff then) and that commercial came on. My brother used to dedicate this commercial to me so I love it!! Thanks for posting! In fact, I am watching the M*A*S*H finale repeat now!
Just like everyone else who posted, this jingle has been in my head for years and I could never find it. Every few months I'd check again though and I never gave up hope. Thanks for posting it!
I love this. Searched for it for years. I wish Mcdonalds would start doing it like this again. Mcds was always about childhood (I.E. ronald and hamburgler but now its got to be so hip for the young adults. Badabababa my ass Im hatin it.
This commercial brings back so many memories for my family ...Bryan and Jenny...We remember when this aired it was so meaningful by son, the older brother and baseball player with a little sister that adored him. Thanks for posting and bringing back the memories.
Thank you so very much for posting this. I remember this commercial from the 80's and I've attempted to make others remember it as well. It reminded me so much of my uncle and me . . . We were more like sister and brother than uncle and neice. I can't wait to show this to my daughter!
Thanks for posting. I recall seeing this ad for the time in 83 and it was the beginning of losing my big brother to schizophrenia. I remember hoping he would change and become a reg brother like the guy in the ad. He didn't and I feel a sad for what could have been that was lost. His violence and insanity drove us apart and I haven't seen him in almost 15 yrs. But this made me for a second remember when he was my big brother and some of the fun we had and when I thought we would grow up close.
i have to echo all the other comments! thank you so much!! This song has been in my head since the 70s and now i can finally share it with everyone else! i love it!
Thanks for the upload on this. I remember this vividly as a child. Too bad I couldn't fathom eating McDonald's with my little sister today. She's into healthy food and McDonald's isn't cool anymore.
