  • this commercial used to make me sad when I was younger, but it was one of my favorites...everytime I saw a McDonalds commercial this one would cross my mind...I used to think I would never see this commercial ever again, wow!

  • February 28, 1983 was the premier of this most touching commercial ever which was shown during the series finale of M*A*S*H. I remember this commercial even more than the end of the greatest television show of all time ; M*A*S*H.

  • I love this commerical! My parents videotaped Wizard of Oz when I was a little girl and this commercial was on the tape... so during the million times I would watch WOZ over and over, this commercial remains in my mind.... so precious and it makes me cry!

  • This is one of my favorite commercials of all time. I have five brothers but this commercial was special between me and my older brother just above me. I'm 37, and he's 40 now; and I'm sure it's still special to the both of us. Thanks for the memories.

  • I first saw this commercial when I was 4 or 5 (and I am 32 today) back in 81 or 82 and I have remembered it all of these years! It has always been my favorite commercial EVER!! On one of my trips to NYC I made a special trip to the Museum of TV and Radio specifically to look up this commercial. Thank you SO MUCH for posting it! I wish McDonalds still did commercials like this!!!

  • Anyone able to tell me what the lyric is... "You were such a _____ tagalong tomboy making a scene?" For the life of me I can't understand that line.

  • I believe the lyric is ......a me too tag along tomboy making a scene. I had this commercial taped along with the last episode of M*A*S*H, so ive seen this commercial alot. Hope this helps.

  • this was always my moms favorite mcdonalds commercial and she showed it to me today it is so cute

  • Thank you!!! I'm so glad someone finally put this on Youtube. I loved this commerical. I'm 8 years and 11 months older than my brother but the early part of this commercial reminded me of us back in 1981. The ad touched me back then and I was only between 9 and 10. I love this McD's commerical along with The Recital.

  • Wow this made me cry like a baby! I too once had a big brother who loved me but he got married and his stupid wife hates our family and has coaxed him away from us:(

I cry too becuase I can see the brother and sister in the video in my own children. I have 2 boys ages 14, and 11 who ADORE their little sister who is almost 2 and has been battling epilespy since 7 months of age. Also it brings back a time when something as simple as Mc.Donalds could make me so happy. Ahh, to be little again!

  • I thought I was the only one. The jingles been in my head all of these years. I must've been about 14 when this commercial came out.

  • I remember this commercial when I was in high school and I loved it. It reminded me of my brother who is ten yrs older than me. I've actually been looking for it and finally someone posted. thanks

  • I remember this commercial when I was in college. In fact, I was audio-taping the M*A*S*H finale in 1982 (yes, we actually audio taped stuff then) and that commercial came on. My brother used to dedicate this commercial to me so I love it!! Thanks for posting! In fact, I am watching the M*A*S*H finale repeat now!

  • This is one of my all-time faves. Brings tears to my eyes watching it again, so brilliant, so moving. Kudos to tvrewind for posting this!

  • I saw this commrcial when I was a child.

  • Correction: I saw this commercial when I was a child in the early 80s. Thank you for bringing back good memories!

  • Just like everyone else who posted, this jingle has been in my head for years and I could never find it. Every few months I'd check again though and I never gave up hope. Thanks for posting it!

  • I love this. Searched for it for years. I wish Mcdonalds would start doing it like this again. Mcds was always about childhood (I.E. ronald and hamburgler but now its got to be so hip for the young adults. Badabababa my ass Im hatin it.

  • THANK U SO MUCH! I've been looking for this for over 5 YEARS! U ROCK!

  • These siblings get along too well. I'd sure as hell wouldn't have given my bro any fries at that age.

  • :) :)

  • This commercial brings back so many memories for my family ...Bryan and Jenny...We remember when this aired it was so meaningful by son, the older brother and baseball player with a little sister that adored him. Thanks for posting and bringing back the memories.

  • Thank you so very much for posting this. I remember this commercial from the 80's and I've attempted to make others remember it as well. It reminded me so much of my uncle and me . . . We were more like sister and brother than uncle and neice. I can't wait to show this to my daughter!

  • OMG!!! I've been looking for this commercial for years! Thank you so much for posting it!

  • I have been trying to find this forever. Thanks for posting it.

  • Thanks for posting. I recall seeing this ad for the time in 83 and it was the beginning of losing my big brother to schizophrenia. I remember hoping he would change and become a reg brother like the guy in the ad. He didn't and I feel a sad for what could have been that was lost. His violence and insanity drove us apart and I haven't seen him in almost 15 yrs. But this made me for a second remember when he was my big brother and some of the fun we had and when I thought we would grow up close.

  • i have to echo all the other comments! thank you so much!! This song has been in my head since the 70s and now i can finally share it with everyone else! i love it!

  • I cant believe I was in love with the older brother, Well I was only seven when this came out.

  • Thanks for the upload on this. I remember this vividly as a child. Too bad I couldn't fathom eating McDonald's with my little sister today. She's into healthy food and McDonald's isn't cool anymore.

  • Thank you so much for loading this commercial. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I talk about it to anyone. It is my FAVORITE Mcdonlds commercial of all times.

  • My sister and I have been singing this to one another since it aired in the 80's. It's makes us smile when we are mad at each other.

  • I can't belive I have finally found this commercial I remember that commercial when I was a little kid & have been looking for it for years. It looks a little different then I remember... thx for the great flash back I love 80's commercial's.

  • Wow, a victory miss homecoming queen feast at Mickey D's ... Yipee!

  • my fav

  • One of the greatest things I have ever seen. Without McDonalds the little sister would have lost homecoming queen and became a slut producing mentally handicapped chemical babies.

  • Dude!! I can't believe you found this!! I remember watching a Charlie Brown special way back in 1982 and seeing this commercial. I like vintage McDonalds commercials in general, but this is truly a sentimental favorite. You truly made my night. The years just melted away for me.

  • This was my favorite commercial as a kid. Still makes me cry. I can't believe I found this.

  • Me too...This is awesome...I never thought I'd ever see it again...

  • lame and lovable...all at the same time!
