This is a good cover, considering he's not using a backing track. Most of the clean covers of this solo on youtube that involve a backing track would sound just like this, or worse, if the guitarist hadn't used one.

you need better distortion. and to clean up ur sweeping(alot) the begining was realy good, but when the sweeping came it went all down hill. but yeah. invest in a good distortion pedal. i sugguest metal muff. gives it an amazing sound. if u put as much work into this as you do into guitar hero you would deffinatly be going places. just keep that in mind=)

Nah he is really close but the chords are ringing a bit after he changes strings giving it a degraded sound .... i wish i could sweep(my fingers stay too torn up from work :()...but i can tremolo pick faster than anyone i have ever met :)

Can you do sweep picking, with ease? If not than I would advise you to be quiet. If so, than you are probably a decent guitarist. Sweep picking is not an easy technique though.

Wow thats crazy good. Ive been playing since 07, but I cant even come close to this guy. However I have found I've learned most of what I know in the past few months, since I started practicing scales and permutations you can learn fingering really fast.
