Thanks..Tanweer saab. When I was a kid I watched Gharana, Hariyali aur raasta..

and watched Phir wohi dil laya hoon 14 times in Burma. I loved the songs by Rafi Saab. It is Kudrat ka dein. Ye aawaaz  toe sada bahaar..sadiyon tak rahega.

Kitne naye aaye sab ek hi tarah gaate hai. Rafi saab ne toe Rishi Kapoor ke liye bhi gaa kar kamaal dekhaya. Amazing & Great man he was. I always pray for him.

As a tribute to this Humble Hero who has won the heartd and admirations of Crors of peoples world why why does not someone open a meauseum in his memory. How about a postage stamp of him in Indian Post Officed?

We cannot praise his talent enough? If I had the money I would open a meuseum in his memory and open to public FREEE!

What makes u say or think that Rafi Saahab's songs are not alive? They are very much alive in the hearts of millions... yes this current foolish generation does not have access to his songs.. If they did... they wud knw what this art of singing means.. n trust me most of these current singers would never be able to make it to the top.

The younger generationd DOES have access to the old music, and they DO understand the difference between trash music of today and the golden music of yesterday. Mostly it is the 'acting young' part for the teenagers that keeps today's filth in circulation. Even for today's generation, most of today's music is not going to be their 'memories'. The memories are still made under the blessings of Rafi-Lata-Asha-Kishore etc.

Shahid lives in Mumbai... I believe he has a garment business. The one in the UK had died in a car accident some time ago.
