  • Germany. My hair seems to dislike shea butter in any form...

  • my aunt is the maker of african shea butter

  • I have been making my Whipped butter like this for about 10 years. Only thing I do different, i use a double boiler and I whip it up over my ice cream maker bowl (instead of freeze&whip) It takes a little longer to solidify this way but I am not a microwave fan. The end result is heaven!!! My kids love this on their skin. Good video and kudos to you for being able to market your product. I sure wish I would have started marketing this years ago before the trend caught on lol

  • I made really bad experience with the self-made shea butter...sorry!

  • Question: is it normal that the hair dries out over night? (did the shea butter myself yesterday :) )

  • You have a lovely speaking voice...

  • That was beautiful...I would add some fine glitter/sparkle to it for the summertime just to have that glow. And, instead of putting your oil in the mic you could try a double boiler - it takes time but you get a nice result...

  • Is it possible only to use Olive oil to mix the shea butte. I don't know where to by the other ingredients here in Europe (products difference!!!)

  • @missfavoured Where are you in Europe?

  • Next time, please don't microwave. Put in a bowl of hot water or something.... Don't Microwave

  • I would not microwave the oil either, just set in container inside another container of very Hot water with lid, this will make it soft too. But yes...this looks like a good mix for the hair.

  • where can i find all the product you used

  • Thnk u! I like body butter too, TRY the new product they have on TV called "LEG GLO", im addicted! Makes your legs look so good. They have a website too..

  • Be careful with the microwave, if any of the oils over heat you have to start all over or keep placing them in the freezer (Room Tempeture is Key). I wouldn't melt the Shea at all.

  • My son has eczema and dry skin, do you think this can help? Can you please e-mail me how to buy your product and also the recipe. my e-mail: fe.estocapio150120@yahoo.com. Thanks

  • Do you get your products from "Fair Trade" sellers?...TRACK

  • dont put it in the microwave it zaps the nutrients out!

  • Hello! I just wanted to add I purchased your unrefined shea butter and I must say I love it! I have dry skin and it works beautifully on my face! Thank you so much! God bless you!

  • Won't you get ants crawling over your skin since you added honey?

  • How long does this stay god for? Do you have to store it in a cold area?

  • Where do you purchase all the products?

  • youre so talented!

  • Wheres the other video at!?

  • i have to ask where did you find the almond oil and jojoba oil?

  • @IamMotivationTV If you go to a Vitamin Shoppe, they typically have things like that, aloing with the coconut oil:)

  • I enjoyed this video but you talked and showed this video a little to fast. Thanks for this tutorial!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • I enjoyed this video but you talked and showed this video a little to fast. Thanks for this tutorial!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Good video, can't find part 2.

  • can u use this for your face

  • How do you keep it from not melting in hot places......I went on a trip and it was in the car and it melted.....Just wondering about that.

  • I'm gonna try to make my own this weekend(coco&shea butter) this weekend. I like to use cocobutter and l like shea but l notice it can break me out so l figured if l blend the two then l might not have that problem? Great video:)

  • wow this looks really good i cant wait to try it :D

  • @elohelreh It is Shea butter w ground palm kernel which gives it that color.

  • that's not shea butter - shea is not yellow. that's a diff butter...which is not bad at all...but it's not shea.

  • ooh, this looks rich, Home remedieas and spa treatments are so wonderful . I love almond oil but have never used shea butter. where can I get it? A the natural foods store? Cant wait to try this for smooth sexy summer tanned legs.

  • whipped shea butter

How long was the shelf life on the shea butter whip that you made with the HONEY as a preservative and did you say you can also use Tea Tree Oil as a preservative

  • nice

  • what type of honey is that? and does it really matters what honey you use

  • can you use this product in your hair? Is this product to thick? Dose the product make your hair grow? how often did you use this product

  • did you say it tastes great at the end?

  • @MissPrissJewels Well, there doesn't seem to be anything in here that can't be used for cooking

  • hello I tired to make some and it came out sticky!! i dont knw what i ddid wrong? Plz help!!!

  • Can this be used as a leave-in conditioner?

  • @LadyE726 I use it all the time. It's great for moisturizing your hair and it's not too heavy (for me), yet learn, YOUR hair :)

  • Real Shea butter is not yellow.... If what you purchase is yellow, it is either dyed, or cut with Palm butter. I got that info straight from an African site.

  • @monawachsler When shea butter is in it's natural state (unrefined) it is beige to dark yellow and has a slight smoky odor to it. When it is white (refined) a lot of nutrients are lost because the color is taken out as well as its natural odor.

  • @thisisyaya I guess I'm confused...search for Shea Butter 102; Yellow Shea Butter,...she says something different. :)

  • @monawachsler: I would like to know can this be use in your hair? is this product to thick?

  • @thisisyaya Shea butter from the actual shea nut tree has an ivory (to slightly yellowish) tint to it--the deep yellow and golden substance that is often passed as Shea butter is sometimes not even Shea butter but the product of another tree in West Africa similar to Shea butter and with similar properties. Refined and cosmetic grade shea butter has color added to it and the characteristic smell removed from it, also removing some of its healing properties in the process. =)

  • @Arekisu180227 When I say dark yellow, I don't mean like cocoa butter. Unrefined shea butter does have a tint to it. I've never seen a shea butter that is the color of butter though. Some might add color to it to make it look that way, but I was not talking about that kind. I do not use any shea butter that is that dark. Thank you for your imput. You kind of said some of the similiar things that I've said already.

  • @thisisyaya Thanks for clearing that up =) I see what you mean, and I too do not use Shea butter that is as dark as you described. I actually went to West Africa a few summers ago and had the pleasure of getting the real stuff. I will never buy the bright yellow concoction again! lol be blessed. ♥

  • It seems to be very greasy ; add some cornstach

  • Don't forget that the microwave zaps the nutrients out of our foods and the same goes for what ever we decide to put in it. Very informational video tho, thank you :)

  • @latossha1 When I made my own body butter I used a double boiler to melt my oils. You could also just use two pots, on bigger than the other of course. I feel like microwaving is cheating, LoL. I also feel that way about cooking.

  • @latossha1 Not to be too picky, but I agree that microwaving is not the way to go if you want to preserve the nuitritional qualities of the oils. To be even picker mixing it in non-plastic is preferrable with heated products to avoid chemicals leaching into it.

  • i hear butter can make your breast grow is that true??????

  • I added water to my whipped shea butter, just a little, I thought it may fluff up faster. Now I have a good consistency but I can see little drops of water in the mix. What can I do to get rid of it?

  • @ttdean ok now I know I need an emulsifier because i added water to the oils in my shea butter. Now I need to know where to buy it.

  • @ttdean I don't know how you get rid of the water but I was watching another video by innovativethinkin (the one that shows making it) and it was said that if you add water then you need a preservative as the shea butter can mold. (I'm not sure which oils are preservative oils, google it, I think Vitamin E oil may be a preservative) At the least you should probably refrigerate your shea butter when not in use so it lasts longer. I've read that any product with water needs a preservative

  • @slgraycols You're absolutely right. Any product that mixes oils and water need a preservative. Jojoba oil, vitamin E, honey are all good natural preservatives but if you are not going to use your product in a quick enough time then you would need to put a preservative in it.

  • Is it possible to buy it from you as a finish product. Please give me an e-mail adress or your homepage adresse. Mine is: bonnor.mette@gmail.com

  • @mettebonnor Hi, Mette! I will send you info :)

  • Like the video, currently transitioniong and would like to purchse the products. Where do you buy them.

  • Love the video! I am transitioning and want to make this recipe. Where did you purchase the oils?

  • I am really interested in making this recipe, just want to know what brand of oils you are using and where did you purchase them? Love the video

  • I was just curious...where do you buy your products

  • @jasmineball1992 I'm a distributor. I now sell this at the flea market since I had so many people asking me to make it! I'll post a link to the site when we have it up.

  • @SPARKWISDOMhow do i order how to mke this...

  • @jasmineball1992 @818poochie visit beutifuloutside. com You will love the whipped organic shea butter. It is unrefined organic and whipped with nourishing coconut, jojoba, and apricot oils for a creamy spreadable texture. It is made to easily penetrate skin and hair, providing moisture without clogging pores.

  • man this looks like butter you cook wit mmm, lol!! be careful with that, lol naw but i can never get mine to look like that but i will keep trying

  • @naturalblkbeauty use Coconut Oil and blend, blend, blend. At a minimum, 30 minutes....then freezer, blend, blend, blend. Just set aside a Saturday morning to do it and make enough for month or so. :)

  • did u ever found out why it wasnt as smooth after 1 wk.

I have made my own mango, shea and cocoa butter n notice that after a few hours it becomes really hard.

  • @kooleybaby Use less coco butter and whip it for at least an hour. Whip 15 minutes, put it in the freezer, then whip it again and again. That will work :)

  • do you leave it in or do you wash it out?

  • @NaturalKED I put in about a dimes worth daily and I don't wash it out.

  • gorgeus

  • can i mix almond, wheat germ, tea tree and neem oils for my hair?

  • @VICTORIANDREAMER80 I use almond in my hair and on my face. Tea tree oil? Eww...I just do not like the smell. Although others do use it.

  • Great video! I've been looking for a recipe like this. Thanks for posting.

  • The editing gave me a headache

  • @grownazzwoman You're right! I just watched it again. Sorry...I was just learning back then :) Thanks for watching!

  • just as a note I guess, shea butter is Ivory in color. The bright "shea" butter is African Butter, it's a good butter, it's just not shea butter, like your vids!

  • @psychmaj323 Thanks for the note!

  • @SPARKWISDOM welcome!

  • @psychmaj323 I always wonderd what was the differnce Thanks!

  • @MsLoren10 no problemo

  • It looks like you were making cheescake. :-))

I was THINKING "That looks delicious" then you said it tastes good!

  • "it really tastes good -- i'll leave that for married ppl!" too much. ROTFLMBO!

  • My pleasure!

  • thanks for posting
