I think Imran missed the point here. The role of cinema isn't necessarily to promote issues or make the people politically aware. Its primary motive is entertainment although there can be occasional movies and certain filmmakers who can deal with the more serious issues. So, while I agree with his on Indian cinema in general although I doubt if he has seen a lot of movies, it really is barking down the wrong tree.

@ishqtube: Everything's an idea bfr it becomes a reality my friend. The events he's quoting arn't made up, dey ACTUALLY happened. The Khilafat-e-Rashida, the Ummayaads, the Great Ottoman's empire nd the Mogul era. i've not read da whole accounts of neither but one thing's for sure, they'd amazing structures of their own of ruling the states otherwise dey wudn't have survived for hundreds of years.

A couple of movies ??? India which is world's greatest and number 1 country has produced more good movies than your master, Americans. If I go back in time to Amitabh Bachan and Dilip kumar's time and list movies like Mother India etc, u will go crazy. Just watch recent Shahrukh khan's recent movies like Chak de India, Swades and K3G, that will b enough to make u like our movies more than your favourite hollywood.

That comment on Indian movies was funny and is true to some extent :). But Indian movies also try to teach good values to youth. I hope Imran Khan has seen movies like Rang de Basanti, lage raho munnabhai and taare zameen par. Also there is an Amir Khan movie coming up next called 3 idiots, which is about IITs, which are Indian govt's elite education institutions. So allow Pakistani youth to watch our movies sir :)

I dont agree ... I wish and pray there should be completly BAN on indians movies which are not more than a piece of trash.. nudity, lust, love, behayae, etc are only what indians movies are all about ... Thanks God that I have left watching these movies completly and em more HAPPY now ...

When partition happened in 1947, the good muslims who are descendants of Prophet (PBUH) and his companions, remained in India and created Bollywood for the enlightenment of society, along with Hindus. The dirty muslims, who are descendants of Changez Khan and his mongols ran away to Pakistan and created its na-pak army and ISI. Thats why even today you will find your Prophet's (pbuh) messages in bollywood movies like taare zameen par. So dont stop watching bollywood movies.
