lord, I was there and it was the 'weirdest, most happiest time' of my life and I can't quite explain it but it was. You have to go through it if any of you don't know what I mean.
My favourite film too. This sequence is really inspired. Good to know so many others out there were impacted by it. My good friend is destroying his body and life with alcohol. He's 32 and has been getting obliterated since his dad died when he was 17. Any advice on an intervention?
I love that scene. When my ex-girlfriend and I broke up, I looked at that movie everyday and got drunk. I'm about to pour myself another cup now! Shout out to all my drunkards!
lord, I was there and it was the 'weirdest, most happiest time' of my life and I can't quite explain it but it was. You have to go through it if any of you don't know what I mean.
Girlfriend of 2 years left because she wanted to date a guy she met at our Bar, with more money and who didn't like to drink, even though she lives in my house, I paid 50% of her bills, and she drank (well, got drunk) more than me.
Heh, The world is full of irony and injustice.
This video sums up what runs through my head during the day, but would probably never do. but I'm laughing at the commiseration, dark humor and irony...oh and enjoying my Whiskey sour at the moment.
That's great!!!! The guy doesn't like to drink... that's ironic, and sad! Good luck men!! You got sense of humor, wich is the important thing...THAT'S A GREAT SONG!!!!
an update is, I'm going back to school in the fall to learn MasterCAM, so I can run the CNC mill, as well as the welding and fab work, and the best part is, my job is covering 75% of my school costs.
Also considering taking a refresher in Pneumatics, then I'll replace the Millwright in the shop, since he's been talking about retiring.
as for the women...they've been okay, nothing quite on the horizon yet, but I've been a busy , busy, busy lately!
rock on Quasi, you clearly have two feet on the ground, and that means a lot. Bottom line, you lost a woman who didn't love you, good riddance. After a period of healing and taking on greater responsibility at work, women will be coming to you if you let them.
Man!! I didn't know other people feel the same about this scene in the movie and the song. It's deep to see how somebody could just throw away everything, after lose his family. Very good video and very good movie.
I knew this sequence would eventually pop up on youtube. It is my favorite sequence that I can recall. Thanks for posting mate, got any other sequences that have touched you?
remember that night we were smokin some stuff and hangin in your apt and you showed me that poster of the Egyptian pyramids and then strated talking about how there were some aliens that built the pyramids and some other stuff? that was some far out shit
yeah - I wasn't talking about aliens - but it definitely was some far out shit. I kept researching that stuff & sent it to Universities. jimaluko - I have some awesome news man. Not only did I finally get my degree at Berkeley - I just found out - just now - that I was accepted at Oxford and Harvard. I guess they're interested in my crazy shit. who knew.
this tune came off a little known live cd called "The New York Rock And Soul Revue-Live at the Beacon" released 10/29/91. Boz Scaggs, Charlie Brown, Phoebe Snow, Donald Fagen and the Brigati brothers also in the line up. very hip to hear Eddie sing "Grovin"
Yeah, I search on Internet for the soundtrack cause I didn`t remember exactly the name of the song but they got the preview of each song of the soundtrack and this wasn`s there :/
I just saw this movie this weekend and it has to be the best I've ever seen. Touched me and hit me deeper and harder than any movie I've ever seen. Amazing performance by Cage and Shue, just an excellent movie.
Oh yeh, Well Doc Im sitting here with 300 mg of Siniquan and a bottle of Cabo Wabo, pretty much my go to sleep meds. Who really gives a rats ass if I dont wake up some day, you? It has to be better on the other side. Member of Mensa but alot of good that does me.
baby, if you ARE a mensa man, learn that it is 'a lot' and not alot...you might get a higher grade. and stop with your drugs....the only way out is to give up and live poorly.
shaft380, Thanks for you thoughts.. I dont live poorly, just lonely.Wich is the path I set for my life along time ago, after I got out of high school. I dont expect to live much longer. But really "WHO CARES".
how old are you? if you are 39 then you should have forgotten high school many years ago. I forgot it because I loathed it, my 10th anniversary was 4 months ago and I did not attend. I have several failed relationships but life goes on. Take care.

what he is doing is very immature; it is a knee-jerk reaction to the responsibilities of being a father and husband.
and for the record it occurs amongst all races, religions, and economic spectrums, so please refrain from the racial slurs or religious shit.
