  • Thank you soooo much!!! My hop up system was broken and i fixed it while I watched this video. THANK YOU!!!

  • thats a great tutorial! exactly what i was looking for, thanks :)

  • @ASTKilo23 I was wondering if the hopup direction can be altered by rotating the bucking. Because for some reason when I use hopup on mine it always curves ot the right. It's either the inner barrel or the hop up. I'm considering replacing both. Sincerely- YD22

  • I have an AGM vsr 10, and the other day I noticed a rattling sound coming from my barell. I took everything apart and found nothing inside making the noise. I put it back together and noticed my hop up is not functioning. The adjustment lever is moving, but the hop up isn't. Do you know how to fix this?

  • @CodBlackOpsFTW99 interesting problem. i would have to look at it to see what is wrong, but you may just want to take it to a tech to be looked at.

  • @ASTKilo23

    Thanks. I'll do that.

  • hey dude whenever I went to put my JG BAR 10 back together I think i messed it up and I have to push up on the mag so it can catch a bb while cocking it.. Do you know what I did wrong? Or do you know how to fix it? Thanks man.

  • @Dustbunni2012 common problem. try a higher tension mag catch spring or some electrical tape on the mag to keep it tightly in place.

  • BEST BEST BEST Guide , thank you ....

  • Subscribed!

  • Question, for the agm vsr10, I noticed that my hop up adjustment is stuck on full hop up. As in I can't move it back into normal position. Do you know any ways to fix that?

  • @vendettafalls there can be a lot of things wrong. without first hand investigation, i cannot tel you how to fix it.

  • gr8 video mate!

im going to make my gun way more accurate then its now :D

  • i use .20 gram bbs and they curve up even when my hop up was on so i was wondering how to tweak it so it would shoot with out curving up.

  • @blakers73

You should try .25/.28 bbs imho, i use .28g, they fly longer and are more accurate, but they fly more slow, so target might dodge it.

  • @blakers73 ifu have a 150+ srping u shud be using .3s at least otherwise ur accuracy will drop drastically

  • @blakers73 Use at least .30g BBs in sniper rifles.

  • I have a questin. I have problem to assemble tha hopup again. It is to big to fit back into the barrel. Any tips?

  • @SwedishAirsofter0 you probably have something sticking out of your hop up chamber that is not allowing it to move freely inside the outer barrel. might want to check that out.

  • @ASTKilo23 Sadly no, the hopup rubber is too thick for the hopupchamber to be able to be closed propely, but hopefully I will be able to fix it, Because the hopupchamber isint closed propely it becomes some mm thicker witch makes it inpossible to pull it in the outer barrel. But thank you for the vid, It helped me alot.

  • I was thinking of getting this gun, and I thougth neeh I will never manage to upgrade it. And then I found this video. It is great thank you very much.

  • Wow, Thanks, this helped me A LOT! my bar and VSR is shooting straighter then EVER! I'm really happy! :)

  • Fantastic video mate.Would have been stuffed without it.

  • is the bar 10 and vsr10 the same gun?

  • @skadoosh808 apart from the parts quality, yes.

  • when you teflon tape it, do you do it right on the hopup bucking after that little bulge on it? i have a agm vsr 10 and as there are not many compatible parts, i plan to mod anything i can on it.

  • @TRNJAIRSOFT do not put teflon tape right where the hop up bar engages the hop up. you can put it on any other free space on the bucking.

  • @TRNJAIRSOFT

Which gun is better the bar 10 or the vsr 10 in parts quality

  • @assreaper12

vsr 10 is made by marui, and marui has the best quality, so, vsr 10 tokyo marui :)

  • the outerbarrel doesnt have to wobble(and by the way you should worry about barrel wobble as it will affect bb chambering and therefore consistency->accuracy) all you need to do is to use the scope rail screw (tighten it a bit more as it should protrude all the way through the receiver and touch the OB)

  • I just bought this gun and when i went to go shoot it for the first time it was completely in accurate and never fires straight. I think there is something wrong with the size of the barrel or something because the gun shoots for crap and i cant even use it because it sucks . If you can contact me at all about this problem to help i would really appreciate it

  • I have just got my gun but I want to fit a tight bore barrel but if I do this is there any danger of breaking my gun

  • Hey guys, what should i do if i have this problem:

the hopup is turned all the way down (where no hopup effect should be), but the BB goes up after 20 meters.

I've disassembled the gun, and saw that the hopup "arm" (which one can be adjusted to push the hopup rubber in or let it untouched) is cannot be fitted in the outer barrel. When i put the inner barrel and the hopup chamber into the outer barrel, the arm stucks in, and pushes the hopup rubber.

What the hell should i do? Thanks

  • @csigahaver i had a similar problem with my teammates utg l96. i disassembled the gun, cleaned the barrel, lubricated the bucking, and reassembled the gun. problem fixed. if the gun is stock, you should do the same, as well as check for a faulty hop up bucking.

  • Hi friend, I intend to buy 1)170% spring 2) laylax zero trigger + metal piston kit 3) long 6.01 barrel, 4) hopup kit 5) Metal spring guide. Am I missing anything? Do I need to replace the cylinder for a teflon one? I am really grateful for your attention. Thanks

  • @jmadruga78 that actually looks like a pretty good set up. but realize the 170% spring is not the same as an m170. two different fps ranges.

  • Hi thanks man GREAT video! The BAR10 parts look very fragile - will they break apart if I install a harder (stronger) spring or a tighter/longer barrel? I noticed that the silencer that comes with the gun is useless (it does not change the noise at all).

So I was thinking about installing a longer barrel + harder spring and use the silencer just as a barrel cover. We´re looking at five more barrel inches. Is it worth the effort$ ? will the gun resist? thanx

  • @jmadruga78 if you do upgrade the spring, you should replace the sears as well. the stock ones will probably not hold up long to higher stress. also, 'mock' suppressors are not intended to change the sound output. they are intended to add space for a barrel extension. however, they have been adapted to do quite the contrary. i really feel it is worth the effort. very affective and affordable gun.

  • im so glad of this video omg lol

  • OMG THANK YOU SOO MUCH for this vid cause i wanted to install a 6.01 barrel in my Echo1 m28 when i order it but i didnt really wanted to pay a extra 45 just to intall it

  • @Bloodelf911 p.s. noob question would adding more barrel spacer make it shoot more better? cause the echo1 m28 comes with 3 barrel spacer instead of 2

  • @Bloodelf911 they make a very small, hardy noticeable, difference.

  • @Bloodelf911 Mine came with 6 lmfao

  • can that Bar 10 Outer threaded barrel fit in a AGM MP001?

  • good vid,

but is that the AGM model?

    sorry but AGM sucks lol

    i had one, never again

  • @Achraven

Did you listen at all to the video, or are you deaf? He clearly says BAR 10 in the video.

  • good vid,

but is that the AGM model?

    sorry but AGM sucks lol

  • hi just wondering wut scope that is . x32 or X40

  • Will this also work for the WELL MB07? I'm lookin to clean out the hop rubber on it. And is "liquid wrench" an acceptable lubricant? It's a silicone spray. Thanks!

  • @beccaccio550 the procedure shold be similar, but well vsr style rifles are not tm compatible.

  • @ASTKilo23 ah i see. what about the lubricant?

  • I have an agm vsr10 and want to put in a tight bore barrel, aluminum piston, aluminum spring guide and a new spring. Will I be able to do this? thanks

  • @JDJKGaming i am not sure if agm rifles are TM compatible. best check with airsoft gi techs first. you should also replace the piston and trigger sears if you are upgrading the spring.

  • I have been having bad accuracy problems lately with the jg bar 10, and took my hop up apart to inspect my bucking which seems undamaged. I also cleaned and lubed the hop up as a whole, but am still having accuracy problems. My gun will not shoot in the same spot consistently. I am shooting from 15 feet using airsoft elite .25 bbs. any ideas as to what might be causing this? My gun is stock btw and thx 4 the video it helped a lot.

  • hay could you ethier reply or make a video on how to put in the Airsoft GI PE sear set

  • @EliteSniper1396 i already have a video depicting that. check my page.

  • do you have to do this to get to the hop up rubber

  • @UKairsoft94 no, you can take a hacksaw or a blow torch to it. that will do the same thing. YES, YOU HAVE TO.

  • is the airsoftgi trigger and piston sear upgrade good

  • @skaterboy3o3 they are sturdy and reliable parts.

  • will this work on swiss arms sa1

  • WTF? i cant get my outer barrel to unscrew at all. I loosened the screw on the recievr and the two screws near the hopup but my outer barrel wont budge.

  • @GSTYLEWESTCOAST it actually doesnt unscrew. it is only held in there by pressure. just find a rod of some sort and tap it until it falls out.

  • I've been looking for this video for three months now i can finally upgrade my gun thank you so much!!! =}

  • ASTkilo23,

I followed your video, however when i was done, my bar 10 won't hop up at all. Any ideas as to what i did wrong? I also installed a new hop up bucking to the unit (the right kind) and i made sure to lign up the groove of the bucking with the hop up chamber.

  • I've been wondering how to take this gun apart to change the barrel, thanks for the video!

  • Hi i just watched this video and i was tempted to take apart my bar 10's hop up. I put it back to together until i encoutered my first problem. I did aline it properly with the barrel and now the "hop up arm" is in the open slot and i cant push it down to get it out of the barrel. SO i was just wondering how i could get it out of the barrel now.

  • @phy456

  • @phy456 went to say that i didnt aline it properly

  • do i need to upgrade the hop up or is stock good enough

  • @laxman4008 ive been using a totally stock hop up assembly for abouta year now on an m170 spring. so far its been fine.

  • When I shoot the jg bar10 2 bbs come out, is the hop up the problem, or is it the mag?

  • @Themuffinman824 it is most likely a hop up problem. mine does that on occasion as well. either bolt the riflemore quickly (one fluent motion), or disassemble the hop up unit and lubricate the parts.

  • the problem with mine is when i try to cock it the bolt all of sudden shoots back does anyone know how to fix this

  • its a stripped piston sear. a replacement costs about $20-25.

  • do you have a video on how to replace it?

  • look up my trigger box disassembly vid.

  • Before you buy a new sear, check and make sure that you have all of the screws attaching the trigger assembly to the receiver. These screws are known to come out and if one does it will make it so that the trigger can't catch causing it to automatically shoot back.

  • hey the cylinder's really tight on mine, no matter how hard i try i cant get it to budge, i already unscrewed the screw that keeps the cylinder on

  • i get that occasionally on mine too. the best was ive found to get it to budge is to prop it on a table and use your full body weight to remove it.

  • With a higher FPS like 500 or so, do you need to upgrade the hop up bucking to something harder? Or is the basic stock bucking substantial to stiffer springs?

  • i have found that i didnt need to upgrade the bucking even with a high power spring. the bucking is, surprisingly enough, made of a good quality rubber.

  • Thanks a bunch :D

  • I hate putting the hop up back together. My springs kept flying out and what not lol.

  • how do you remove the weight on the piston?

  • @codyoty disassemble the rifle and open the cylinder assembly. the weights are held on the piston by four philips screw.

  • Everytime i shoot the BBs go up no matter what position the hop up is on. can someone plz help?

  • @xdoomsday77 ive had this happen with the teams utg l96. the best thing to do is to disassemble the hop up unit, grease everything you need to, make sure there arent any flaws in the backing, and reassemble it. if that doesnt work, then you may want to either try swapping out different hop up parts, like the bucking, with a new or spare one you might have around, or using heavier bb's.

  • The thing you're sliding up and down at around 2:30 is the hop up adjuster? Is the little stick that adjusts the hopup attached to this?

  • @AndiLovesMusik yes, that is the hop up adjustment lever.

  • @ASTKilo23 So if I push it toward the end of the barrel is that hop up or down?

  • @AndiLovesMusik the hop up system is clearly explain in the guns instructions, online, is other videos, and even on the gun itself.

  • @ASTKilo23 I know that and I've searched many videos for help... I got my JG bar 10 in a trade(used) and it was missing the exterior hopup adjuster so I'm not sure on which is hop and not as I never owned a jg bar 10 before...

  • can i use vasiline

  • @MICHAELS774 no, you cannnot ude vasoline! wow, just go out and buy some cheap grease.

  • @ASTKilo23 thanks u saved me some trouble

  • to take off the hop up bucking for tightbore barrel how do you get it off just pull it off or is there something else

  • the bucking only sits on the barrel. you need only pull it off.

  • im trying to upgrade to a tightbore barrel but i dont know how long the barrel is i was hoping you can help me thx

  • 430mm for the standard vsr10 barrel.

  • im working on a Well MB-02 I won from the raffle at a game right now, so glad it is a vsr-10 base. The only thing I am stuck on is the barrel spacers, they like to get stuck in the outer barrel and I cant push the hop up unit all the way in...

Edit: while writing this comment i fiddled with it a little, turns out the barrel was not going into the orange tip/not aligned. =p

  • How do you put the hop rubber on the barrel....I hope to get a nineball rubber...how far do you push the barrel in??

  • the installation is very easy, and you will realize what to do once you actually have the parts in hand. they can only work one way.

  • ok thanks....

  • My BAR 10 shoot to the right, and ive read I need te centre the hop up in the barrel or something like thet. How to I do that?

  • thanks bro my new asgi barrel will help alot. oh and my new laylax spring is a joke , its nearly imposible to put the silinder head on and when its on it is literaly imposible to pul back is it the same with the asgi spring

  • yes it is. i recommend getting an m140 or m150 spring for the best balance of power and handling. maybe even an m130 spring if ur not exactly a strong person or if u still want an acceptionally quiet gun.

  • thats actually pretty true. ive gotten used to the m170 spring, but i still takes some doing to pull it back consistantly. in fact, a friend of mine (little scrawny dude) came by to try my sniper out and was unable to pull the bolt back.

  • ok il try to work with it ... try

  • ok i can pull it back now but not very fast but its well worth the range and speed but my fingers are all swolen gota get me some special sniper gloves or somethin lol

  • well... he needs to drink some MUSCLE MILK! lol. my brother cant pull back the bolt for my m170 spring.. he struggles holding the actualy gun because its heavy. :P

  • ok thanks dude i probably gonna end up doing that
