@Meganium0647 Flock is a web browser that specializes in providing social networking and Web 2.0 facilities built into its user interface. Until the current version, Flock used the Gecko HTML rendering engine by Mozilla. Version 2.5 was released on May 19, 2009. The upcoming version 3 will use the Chromium rendering engine.
they are currently on 3.5, so its the chrome engine now
@Awesomeman552 Never had a crash on Chrome, mainly due to it's built-in task manager that makes sure that the browser doesn't crash due to one part ((like Flash, Java, one tab/window, Add-On)) failing.
@SuperKurt11 Oh, okay. Well, the reason I ditched Flock was because it was a fork of Firefox. I'm not saying Mozilla Firefox is bad, but it's not my kind of browser.
Geez, I feel like their trying to sell me Windows OS or a cheeseburger on their website when I watch the video. That ridiculous girl voice and telling me "now easier than ever with google search" as if that was a breakthrough in technology and people haven't been using google for YEARS now and as if searching with google was sooo hard to implement into the browser. *sigh*
@commodore256 Firefox doesn't have shit load of addons , it's user's choice. IE is good not that excellent, new Firefox 4 beta is speed boosted amazingly, you should try.
@commodore256 All of those browsers have failed to meet what I would consider a good browser, and putting them together just doesn't seem like it would work out too well. I could be wrong however, I will have to try Lunascape to find out for myself.
@commodore256 the add-ons are up to you to install it or not. Yes to Safari, flock, or opera but please, not IE9. All I got to say is... good luck with your IE9.
Flock is shutting down!

@Coi1221 Dude you are an idiot. It's based off of Firefox and it is better than Chrome and Firefox combined.

Hah! In my experience, chrome causes 10x more crashes than firefox. If that's what is more stable I'd hate to know what is most stable.

@hgpot I've never had a crash with any of them, maybe IE. dunno about Safari because I hear that Safari sucks on PC.

@quachingducks Safari does suck, but I don't have many program crashes at all. Except high end games that aren't meant to run on my sucky laptop :D

It has the IE engine, Gecko Engine (including Firefox Add-ons) and it has the Webkit engine!
It's like IE, Firefox and Safari in One!

Google Chrome's engine: Webkit :P
Nix1794 1 year ago
@Nix1794 I think he meant Chromium's UI and such, not the actual rendering engine (which... is true if it is based on Chromium... but yeah).
