  • Flock is shutting down!

  • flock was based on firefox but flock has now changed its browser to become chromium support since chrome is just way better than firefox XD

  • @liltunewiz I know Flock is based on Chromium.

  • Flock is based on the Mozilla Firefox engine!

  • Why Flock ? Dose flock support plug-ins?

  • Just downloaded and good so far. Side bar is best feature. A little bland though.

  • Flock on the mac platform is alot better!!!

  • flock or rockmelt which is safer and better performance?

  • Flock is based on Firefox, not Chromium.

  • @Meganium0647 Flock is a web browser that specializes in providing social networking and Web 2.0 facilities built into its user interface. Until the current version, Flock used the Gecko HTML rendering engine by Mozilla. Version 2.5 was released on May 19, 2009. The upcoming version 3 will use the Chromium rendering engine.

they are currently on 3.5, so its the chrome engine now

  • @Mikeint0sh I saw that when I downloaded Flock.

  • @Meganium0647 what u talking about go flock.com about and says chromium support this shut that fukk up u ass hole

  • What the hell.. This is a pure Chrome ripoff

  • @Coi1221 Flock is WAY older than chrome

  • @Coi1221 Used to be based on the Firefox engine back when I ran this as my primary browser...BEFORE Chrome.

  • @Coi1221 Dude you are an idiot. It's based off of Firefox and it is better than Chrome and Firefox combined.

  • Hah! In my experience, chrome causes 10x more crashes than firefox. If that's what is more stable I'd hate to know what is most stable.

  • @Awesomeman552 You have a shitty PC then..

  • @Awesomeman552 Never had a crash on Chrome, mainly due to it's built-in task manager that makes sure that the browser doesn't crash due to one part ((like Flash, Java, one tab/window, Add-On)) failing.

  • @hgpot I've never had a crash with any of them, maybe IE. dunno about Safari because I hear that Safari sucks on PC.

  • @quachingducks Safari does suck, but I don't have many program crashes at all. Except high end games that aren't meant to run on my sucky laptop :D

  • I used this thing like a year ago . . . . . . ITS NOT NEW!

  • @spenceraperry so what?

  • @spenceraperry Flock 3.5 is new.

  • how much can I buy this for?

  • I think its built off of Mozilla not chrome.

  • @mp4podcastDOTcom Rendering engine is Chromium's but the source code is still Mozilla's.

  • I've been using Flock forever. Why would you do this now?

  • @0yashamaru0Return there are other people than you on youtube :)

  • @devonly2 Thats NOT my point. My point is, this browser most certainly is not new.

  • @0yashamaru0Return did he say it was? its to compare it with rockmelt.

  • @0yashamaru0Return Because it was updated

  • get RockMelt dude...

  • I could swear that Flock was owned by Mozilla..

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperKurt11 Oh, okay. Well, the reason I ditched Flock was because it was a fork of Firefox. I'm not saying Mozilla Firefox is bad, but it's not my kind of browser.

  • @Hug0101 Flock is still owned by Mozilla. They just went with Chromium's rendering engine but the source code is still the same as Firefox.

  • Rockmelt is far better than Flock in my opinion.

  • Geez, I feel like their trying to sell me Windows OS or a cheeseburger on their website when I watch the video. That ridiculous girl voice and telling me "now easier than ever with google search" as if that was a breakthrough in technology and people haven't been using google for YEARS now and as if searching with google was sooo hard to implement into the browser. *sigh*

  • Chrome goes Android style by the way... allow to the developer to making feature browser with based form Chrome~

  • sounds cool but I like chrome and the twitter, rss and facebook extensions do the exact same thing so there is no point for me to get this

  • This is a great browser really,

I've been using it since it was built on firefox's engine (about 5 years)

  • Does it work with extensions too?

  • who didnt know about flock??

  • @zeroskater529613

    I didn't.

  • flock is is alot cleaner than rockmelt, but give rockmelt a try. it's worth a few days wait and it's a lot more social.

  • It's also available for Linux as well.

  • it does the same thing as any other browser o_O

  • I found an interesting browser called "Lunascape".

It has the IE engine, Gecko Engine (including Firefox Add-ons) and it has the Webkit engine!

It's like IE, Firefox and Safari in One!

  • @commodore256 That sounds awful...

  • @blink1420 How so?

IE9 has excellent HTML5 Rendering, Firefox has a shit load of add-ons and Webkit is fast.

  • @commodore256 Firefox doesn't have shit load of addons , it's user's choice. IE is good not that excellent, new Firefox 4 beta is speed boosted amazingly, you should try.

  • @commodore256 All of those browsers have failed to meet what I would consider a good browser, and putting them together just doesn't seem like it would work out too well. I could be wrong however, I will have to try Lunascape to find out for myself.

  • @commodore256 You're outdated.

  • @commodore256 the add-ons are up to you to install it or not. Yes to Safari, flock, or opera but please, not IE9. All I got to say is... good luck with your IE9.

  • I use to use Flock...

  • aaargh more social media stuff. Woopdedoo it has facebook on it!

  • no

  • i still like the original chrome the best

  • old flock was just social firefox 3

  • I used to use Flock years ago. :D

  • 8th comment on a popular video!!

But I didnt come to spam, just to say: THIS IS AWESOME!!

  • Google Chrome's engine: Webkit :P

  • @Nix1794 I think he meant Chromium's UI and such, not the actual rendering engine (which... is true if it is based on Chromium... but yeah).

  • @Nix1794 safari made Webkit, it is open source so google can use it.

  • wow flock is finally updated !

    i have old 3.0

    im downloading this!

  • People has been talking about it for a while. Finally glad to see a video review! Thanks!

  • Great job Marques! I'll be checking this out soon! :)
