  • wow, just wow. Great voice, but she was the sexiest woman alive to me back then. I wish the video was more of her, and less of the comedy. So sexy...

  • we love D MOB

  • Wow! Those had to be some of the worst dance moves I've ever seen.

  • Oh my.... Miami, 1990, watching 90210 (I had a crush on Jennie Garth), and then "Tremors" with Kevin Bacon... looooooooooooved it back then

  • 11 people came too late to get the love.

  • karen05 all day everyday xx

  • Looks like they had a right old laugh making the video!!

    Great song.

  • very underrated was cathy.shes got a voice to match anyone.

  • I gotta say this is one of the best dance songs ever.

  • this is one jiggly music video

  • Cathy Dennis may have had a forgettable appearance, but that voice of hers was a powerhouse of hidden soul!

  • love you cathy, and you can squeeze me any time, you have amazing voice, ''My Beating heart'' is my favorite

  • @strident212

Even though the late '80s, looking retrospectively, appears to have very good race relations, this was only one small, but highly public aspect. The late '80s segued into the early '90s race riots in LA due to the Rodney King beating ruining this façade. This was also the time period when gangster rap was ascending. Usually the only people to say what you said live in all-white neighborhoods and only knew one or two black people.

  • MTV Dance party spring break

  • I remember this got featured in the Meryl Steep / Roseanne Barr comedy flick "She Devil". Hilarious!

  • I love this woman. I've always thought she was hot!!!!!!!

  • miss the 80's although I was a kid, but I really do miss tha 90's best music I ever heard,

  • Cathy Dennis had pride of place amongst my posters back in the day lol

Still love coming back to listen!

  • Loved this song from back in the day, Cathy Dennis had soul

  • So the Black Eyed Peas are basically the Cathy Dennis and The D Mob of the 2000's?

  • @RemoTheDestroyer Their music styles are totally different.

  • @Daintytwinkletoes Well, yeah, I meant like a group with ethnicity bringing in a white girl to sing with them for multi-cultural appeal.

  • Are those velvet biker shorts??? Gotta love late 80's early 90"s fashions :)

  • cathy dennis..

    what a voice,

  • This was when I knew house was here to stay one of the defining tracks of every club everywhere. Not to mention launching Cathy Dennis' career.

  • OMG tune \0/ and i am 40 :P

  • Comment removed

  • " And their`s magic in the air " There really was in 88 and 89.

I was 17 in 89.... nearly 40 now. Great times xx

  • @iowdave I would much rather have been 17 in 1989 than 17 in 2009! I envy you!

  • @iowdave I was 14 and yeah there really was magic in the air. I forgot how much I loved this song. New stuff just doesn't compare does it?

  • @mrsparkle001 -yah good music, I was 15 yrs old as well. :)

  • I remember Touch Me, but I don't remember this one. And I was in New York then. Hmph. maybe my memory just ain't serving me right. But it sounds good now too. Too bad house music ain't bringin' heads together like it used to. Peacz.

  • Cathy should have stayed performing as well as writing. She really was a totally class act. Makes some of the crap released today look like amateur rubbish. One very sexy, talented lady...

  • I simply love this song. This is when House Music, an oriiginally undergound Music, became mainstream for a few years. Love D-Mob, love Cathy D! And I was soooo feeling her! She looked soo fine! (Huges and kisses).

  • Dude looks like Cee Lo's younger, fatter brother.

  • When music was fun...

  • i was 18 1n 89,major thing for cathy dennis,gr8 tune as well

  • who thinks they should have shown more of cathy dancing??

  • love this so much! If this came out today- it would be #1 Timeless!

  • 80"s and 90"s music rules!!!!

  • guy doing the moonwalk @0:24

  • LOVE HER & DMOB! Still got her album somewhere. (LOL)

  • "C'mon and get my love" worship the devil and eat fried babies!

  • Look how everyone in this video are just having FUN!!! No slutty lady gaga outfits and sleazy dance moves. No attitudes from anyone, no in-your-face gangsta rap shit, just simple fun. Everyone is smiling and having a great time!! This is what's missing in today's entertainment. Real fun and good time feelings. You just can't help but smile and enjoy this song and video! Am I wrong??

  • When this great tune came out in '89, there was no Internet. This was just a tune. A shame that in this day and age, a music upload with D-Mob and Cathy Dennis can end up arguing over race. Just enjoy the music... from these marvellous people, back in the day. We should all forget race and just enjoy this tune which was meant for all people to enjoy. Respect to you all. XXX

  • @SuperRedskinsRule Word! Your sentiment is so true. Just enjoy the music because it has the wonderful capacity to transcend differences and unite the human race through the souls that it touches.

  • @wizeman5974 Thanks for the kind words! Ah... Cathy Dennis, you did steal my heart! :-)

  • @SuperRedskinsRule no, she stole MY heart!! :)

  • @jltjake66 HA HA HA! Me too! :-)

  • @SuperRedskinsRule Great tune i have no problem for any race except pakies they are fucking up the UK!! send them all back!!.

  • @iguanna41 Hi Iguana41. My thought is that the EU and our corrupt politicians are messing up our country. After all... we vote for them, but none of them give a hoot about any of us, regardless of colour, creed or religion. Up the revolution I say!

  • @SuperRedskinsRule There shouldn't need to argue over race anyways, we're all the same race.. The Human Race.... Now people need to just enjoy the good music.

  • @sorphin WELL SAID!

  • What a great song!!! Hadn't heard it for like 20 years... AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • god i love this song and kathy dennis.

  • Dance music or Clubs were, or it seems they HAD to, simply REALLY fun and real dancing. This sounds very freaking awesome! Decent, uplifting, FUN music. People fight too much now. It IS bc of hiphop and blacks moving in everywhere.

Kathy looks SO freaking adorable and sexy doing those simple, but sexy and sensual moves. Artists of todays "dance" music and hiphop look like whores.

  • @vocaltalent1 Just so you know, were it not for those BLACKS moving in everywhere as you call them, this music would NOT even exist!! It like everything REDNECK RACISTS like you enjoys typically comes from those BLACKS! Music is for EVERYONE! Even people like YOU! This world would be a much better place too live in if people like YOU would simply die out! Your mentality like the DINOSAURS needs too become extinct!

  • @bygdaddyO Racist? Moi? So, Blacks listening to only "black" music overwhelmingly isnt...racist? I know, u have ur spins and twists, and refuse 2 hear the words of Reverend Cosby. Keeping everything fairly contemporary, what of that black punk in schoolbus who beat the WHITE kid simply 4 seating next 2 him?Or the 2 black girls whodid thesame 2 a White girl?Or the Black dude who beat the White BusDriver lady?Or how blacks keep harassing whiteGirls at places of fun? IfTheyDontWantU,LEAVE!InPeace

  • @bygdaddyO your comments are very distrubing!! Actually they are so sad they are pathetic and I feel sorry for you. Any one who makes a negative comment about a specific race for what other reason is a blatant racist. You act like whites have NEVER done anything to blacks? There is good and bad in all races and people need to judge people individually not by the music they listen to or the color of their skin. Don't look for me to respond I have wasted enough time on you. Your a LOSER!!

  • @rojoy2 And as far YOU Go Who the HELL asked you? It's funny too me how your quick too respond to what I said, but her RACIST REMARK about. "It IS bc of hiphop and blacks moving in everywhere" You don't have ANYTHING To say about that! Your just a FUCKING HIPOCRETE! It's You that needs to examine their ownself!

Yeah your right There is good and bad in all races and people need to judge people individually not by the music they listen to or the color of their skin or where they choose to live!

  • @rojoy2 One other thing...I have alot of FRIENDS and some them happen too be white and they agreed THAT WAS/IS a RACIST REMARK! They also told me how IGNORANT some of them can be and not to get so UPSET by the remarks I read. But it makes me angry as hell cause EVERY RACE has it's good and bad apples! Not just Blacks, but Whites, Chinese, Indians ALL PEOPLE! You need too learn that cause until you do, YOUR THE LOSER!!

  • @vocaltalent1 YEAH RACIST!!! You wanna know what the TROUBLE is with your kind? You honestly don't think anything YOU DO Or SAY is WRONG!! No matter how IGNORANT, DUMB or RACIST!! And that SHIT you said about "It IS bc of hiphop and blacks moving in everywhere" Is RACIST AS HELL you FOOL!!! Or don't you realize thats A RACIST REMARK?!! As far as HipHop goes, it hasn't done Anything to anyone anymore than HEAVY METAL or GOTH!! Everybody knows including your own kind Thats devil worship music!!

  • @bygdaddyO Hiphop makes people not care too much, which, everything being connected, leads to other careless actions. Rap and such creates a "cool" view of things in denial. Hiphop condones and creates violence in many ways. Ofcourse, u support "black" anything as most of u do, so nomatter how much logic or reason any1 says to u, it means nothing bc u dont benefit from it and doesnt suit ur "representing" life. Devil worship? Yes, but they hurt ONLY themselves. I wish I could help u all!

  • @vocaltalent1 HIP HOP is Satanic. It is worship to the unholy trinity.

    H - Horus

    I - Isis

    P - Patak

    H - Horus

    O - Osirus

    P - Ptak

Also a lot of the techno is promotes fornication.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 Yeah, I know. But is that really what hiphop stands for? U made it up.

  • @vocaltalent1 It's true. The guy that invented the name Hip Hop came back with it from Egypt. I'll try and point you to the video.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 Please do not take offence to this. I understand your belief system, and i do care what you think, but previous posts you have made seem to point to a mental instability. I was serious about my comment on your youtube channel. I am sorry if it came out wrong, but I am genuinely concerned that mental health is overlooked or confused with zealous opinion. It should be taken seriously as i have experience first hand of the trauma. Please talk to someone and dont be ashamed.Thanks4readingx

  • @cuntymash I would advise you that you talk to someone regarding prayer and that your spiritual eyes may be open and you will no longer be a mindless follower of Satan and his kingdom but will live for God Almighty and see His Kingdom rule and reign in your life. Also I pray that one day God will use you to make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places. May God give you understanding in this matter.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 Sorry, have i missed something here? Why are you writing all this on a Dmob video page? Is Cathy dennis the Hydra?

  • @cuntymash Why am I writing this? C'mon is it not my calling and life's vocation to expose Satan and his devices and wake people out of their God forsaken slumber? Yes it is and I shall be doing this till my dying day.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 No! Its your RESPONSIBILITY to enjoy the world god made for you to enjoy! The only real and valid way to worship ANY god is to love all creations, and enjoy the world! You are only here once sir! How long have you been doing the whole converting thing please?

  • @cuntymash I do enjoy the world. Because some of the natural aspects of this world refect the nature of God, the salvation of God and the purpose of God. I think people are precious because we all stem from the first Adam. However, I do realise that Satan is the god of this world and though I am in this world I am not of this world. Heaven is my home and this spiritual journey that I am on is a perilious one with many trails and temptations along the way. If we recognise that Satan is the god ..

  • @jnr8877 truee

  • @cuntymash of this world then we know where most of the suffering, the evil nature of men and women come from. My aim is to wake people up. John Todd was a member of the Illuminati (the elite that runs this world and will does the bidding of their lord Satan) until he was converted. He then spent the rest of his life exposing their sinister schemes. I would encourage you to hear what he has to say. Here is a link:

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 wow dont u wonder why ppl say hip pop is their culture when it nothing but mainstream

  • @TheRoyaldiamond Hello, in a sense they are right because Satan has wedged his influence into their culture and bloodline. Hip Hop is just worship and allegiance to the unholy trinity - Horus, Iris and Ptak. This is why Satan has crippled the eyes of many of the black youth today who have grown up on this rubbish. If one does not see the spiriutual influence behind the music and lifestyle, then one follows Satan without evening knowing it. Lucifer was in charge of music before his fall.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 WTH? Music has whatever meaning you give it. Why does everyone feel the need to invoke religion into -everything-.. yeesh.

  • @sorphin Depends on your faith. Some only see the natural order of things, others whose spiritual eyes are opened can discern the spirit behind this music. Remember there are two types of men - the natural man and the spiritual man. The natural man cannot discern the things of the Spirit for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them for they are spiritually discerned. May God give you understanding in this matter.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 Really? lol. Actually the term hip hop had nothing to do with Egyptian deities or Satan worship. It comes from two separate slang words. Also, it was used to mimic the marching pattern of soldiers. lol. I always looked at it as a form of expression from young teens and adults. At least that's how it was back in the late 70s-early 80s. Consisting of djaying, rapping, and breaking. Hip hop today is pretty much commercialized and watered down and has been for more than a decade.

  • @virgo2086 Thanks for that. However there is a spiritual aspect to Hip Hop that most are unaware of. Most mainstream music is inspired by Satan to influence people and keep them passive as possible. John Todd exposes how the record companies take the master and put curses and incantations on it so that devils can keep the everyday masses dumbed down and mindless followers of Satan. Remember that Lucifer was in charge of the worship to God prior to his fall.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 I've wondered why hip hop makes me puke:-) Perhaps the evil. I regard mainstream religion as a means of social control by our oligarchs. Bin it and bin the oligarchs and their false money.

  • @Isochest Well it's the spirit behind the music that is inherrantly evil. Satan was in charge of worship to God before his fall and so when he fell he perverted his God given gifting and now influences most mainstream music. There are satanic messages which minister to the subconscious mind of men and women everywhere keeping them passive and blind to the new world order and the kingdom of Satan.

    JNR

  • Isn't Horus the native planet of Taurus?, supposed to come back sometime next year...

I could be drunk and a huge mess... Who can say?

  • @Taurutaos5 Horus is one of the oldest and most significant deities in the Ancient Egyptian religion, who was worshipped from at least the late Predynastic period through to Greco-Roman times. Hope this helps.

    JNR

  • @jnr8877 your psycho

  • i used to hope she'd end up sat on my face

  • Hey, Marek Budzyński is quite known architect in Poland, but I presume it's not the same person? :)

  • 3:52 Cathy gets down fa real.....she was on point....I was in the 6th grade when I first peep this out on the radio. These young girls cant get down like back in the days.......

  • Agreed 'ozdan72. Sadly the tunes that are out now are either too seious or just crap. LOL

  • Great video...until Dancin' Danny D shows up and cock blocks Cathy. I remember dropping a load or two while watching her.

  • @fmallis i always thought Paula made this lol...........

  • @maxday1000 Paula Abdul? Really? She had catchy songs but Cathy had it all. Still has 'cos I looked her up and she looks amazing.

  • @fmallis yes........and also her songs reminds me of tiffany & Debbie Gibson.....

  • They are so friggin silly in this video, LOL!!!

  • Cool Video

Where and When was video filmed

  • i still luv this awsome track and get that tingling down the back of my neck when ever i hear this anyway good upload of the video .';-)

  • Smells Like Teen Spirit killed this era of music. Popular music changed after Nirvana. I enjoyed both.

  • @peterrabbity and what is sad is that it has not changed much since

  • @peterrabbity The local radio station instantly switch from this to grunge rock around this time 1990, your right I was just talking about it to some young guys at work haha!

  • lol at ginger fox lmao!!!! man i fkn love the 80;s!!

  • lol at ginger fox lmao!!!!

  • Looks like they had a right laugh filming this video! Whatever happened to D-Mob? At least you could dance to this.... {:o)}

  • Nothing beats the 80' and 90's music anymore...

  • @TheClaudos I completely agree.

  • yea boyee dis is da shit rite hea...

  • Cathy has wrote toxic for britney spears and cant get you out of my head forkylie minogue. cathy had some g8 songs in the early 1990s

  • There is nothing wrong with the way she dances, she does just fine.I've got these dance moves down pat!!!!Luv the 80's

  • SORRY CATHY YOUR DANCING IS A MESS!!!!! BUT YOU CAN JUST ABOUT GET AWAY WITH IT CAUSE YOUR HOT!!

  • This takes me back to my teen years. I was only 15 when this video was released.

  • A very talented and beautiful lady

  • Great song, great singer actually. She doesn't look too good in this particular video though :)

  • love her, still smokeng hot

  • I get all tingly when I watch this

  • Yep we all love her ! Even more so would you belive watching this after all this time , though im not in a school uniform anymore i still get the urge to do things to her in the sports hall haha

Cathy Rocks she done well for herself !

  • This is the song that introduced much of the public to the vocal skills of Cathy Dennis. Amazingly it's a song she did not write, which is ironic when you consider what happened later in life.

  • This is what Kylie's Better The Devil You Know was based on :)

  • @jjswin How true. I wonder if Cathy Dennis ever suspected that in the future she would be writing songs for Kylie?

  • Cathy Dennis is a legend!

  • Videos back then were so simple! It wasn't all about the dancing and sex like today. Sure the wardrobe was horrible, lol, but it was about having fun with the music! It wasn't all about the marketing.

  • I have to admit that Cathy looks a bit ludicrous in this video, even though I love her, and this song. But yeah, the velour shirt, leggings, boots, and desperately bushy eyebrows...wow.

  • I thought this video was hilarious. Looking back, it has a lot of the elements of a "French and Saunders" spoof video, especially the backdrop falling down and the silly dancing...

  • Is that Cedric the Entertainer?

  • @spooky29 I don't THINK so

  • @spooky29 Danny D

  • But is that Cedric the Entertainer?

  • Cathy Dennis is way cute.

  • this was my jam as kid I sang the back ground I loved that part man this takes me back! HOUSE MUSIC WAS AND STILL THE BEST!!!!! THAN THIS CRAP TODAY!!

  • I thought Cathy just faded away but she is a successful songwriter and has been penning number one songs for Janet Jackson, Brittany, Kylie Minogue and others for the last fifteen years.

  • funky classic this one!!!! even my miniature schnauzers are shaking their tails to this jammer!!!! yee haaaaaa!!!!

  • I think it's funny how a lot of the videos from back in the day look like workout videos with the spandex & tutu dresses ;-) 80' & 90's were pretty fun. Oh & the big hair action was fun too.

  • She had great dance songs. Her fashion sense, however, not so great :p

  • @theseether i thought Paula Abdul made this.......but her songs reminds me of, tiffany, and Debbie Gibson with Kiley minogue lol.

  • @maxday1000 yeah many of the dance-pop calls sounded similar then. but none of them dressed quite as bad as Cathy lol. but i must admit there is something about the catsuit and army boots....just sayin.

  • @theseether i meant to say dance-pop gals, why i typed calls is beyond me. possessed keyboard i reckon.

  • r u n n i n g m a n to this . . .

  • Greatest dance music ever. God I miss the 80's so much. Life is just way too complicated now.

  • D Mob is awesome. I loved "A Little Bit Of This..." and still play it. Thanks for the video :) Acid House still sounds good!

  • dobbyone1

  • lolz. i liked this song..

  • Danny D made the track .

  • i love her voice.

    classic song! guilty pleasure

  • Oh my! I used to do that side to side shaking your fists dance move in my bedroom to the 7" single when I was 14! Now as an adult I think it was just an excuse to see Cathy shaking her sizeable bosom lol !! This song will never grow old !!!

  • This song sooo reminds me of when I first moved to Las Vegas!!! Good Times!!! and I still have the BIGGEST crush on Cathy Dennis!!! lol

  • Cathy n her dancers r sooooo cute

  • FUCK ME!! Cathy Dennis was a proper little ginger fox! Serious memories from back in the day. Great post!

  • Back to the happy days of 89/90's, I was on tv on the 'hitman & her to this tune, happy memories, sooo fancied Cathy Dennis back in the day, who's for climbing aboard my time machine then & travelling back to the happy times & out of todays miserable generation!!

  • Comment removed

  • I was talking about this to my friend and he said "I know Cathy Dennis - her dog shit on my stairs". Little infofact for everyone.

  • @shadyMrPatch 'C'mon and get that sh*t, it's for yoouuuu'

  • i agree with all the positive comments. the children of today, just don't understand. this is what DANCE music is about!!!

  • Ohhhh Myyyyy Gooddddd. I totally forgot this song, it....sounds.....like 7th grade all over again. HA HA HA HA HA . Thanks for posting.

  • the vid killed her to stupid

  • SO GOOD

  • I pray and I PRAY hoping that music will fall back to this...I had so much fun at the clubs in the 90's. Dance music was so fun and uplifting back then...

  • @ozdan72 True, todays music is sooo crap!

  • This is the Problem with Hip Hop. There is no Fun Music anymore. Children try to be so serious. I guess the Closest is the Black Eye Peas but there not this good.
