I am almost certain the Sororitas are not restricted to Terra. They serve as both the "military police" for the Ecclesiarchy and the militant arm of the Ordo Hereticus, an order of the Inquisition. And so, if they are basically the military for that branch, they would be required to not just police those on Terra, but outside it as well. Huntin' mutants, witches, and heretics wherever they may be! (and going where help is requested as well... )

wait though in horus heresy book series horus has musings about the emperors custodes being a diffrnet kind of space marine and dorn talks about them as being a kind of space marine in heroes of the space marines novel so you could say custodes are something like proto primarchs but i could be wrong

Actually I would hold the Sisters of Battle above even Space Marines in some aspects, especially in the fight against the ruinous powers of Chaos. Only the pure Daughters of the Emperor can be trusted to not stray away from the Light of the Emperor and even Space Marines sometimes betray their creator.

They are not they are humans taken from a very barbaric and rough world (like the space wolves do) any with psychic power are taken stripped of their mind and filled with what is wanted by the inquisition and train them all to be stronger than a space marine, psychic powers of a librarian. if they took about 1000 men to train its likely only a few would live.

@ironmax1308 the custodes protect the Emperor and are way more powerful than space marines but out of space marines its my opinion obviously that the blood angels are most loyal as they fought horus's army on terra.
i'm quite bad informed but arent the custodians the emperors finest?i meen,yes all marines and terminators espetialy say that in the game,but practicly the custodians are alot better than any marine/sister/inquisitor/gray knight etc.etc.
Grey Knights were created after the Horus Heresy afaik,and they are alot more powerfull then a custodian. They have to pass 666 trials ,survive a ton of implants,must have a high connection to the warp (be a psyker) and are equiped with the most devastating and powerfull weapons of the imperium.
Most of those trials and implants have to do with specifically combating the terrors of the Warp. The GK are the finest anti-daemon unit, but are they better overall than a Custodes? The Emperor's own bodyguards?
We don't have much information on them asides from the fact they kill Space Marines pretty damn easily (Prospero) and they hardly ever suffered any losses when they were in active combat.
Why not? As far as we know, Custodes are the Emperor's first sustained "proto-Marines", made even before the Primarchs. They are, by most accounts, larger and stronger than the average Space Marine. Who's to say there's no chance they share something of his genes?
Custodes were one of the first SM to be made by the Emperor,however at the time,it was during the unification wars,when he did not posses the resources of Mars and the other Imperial worlds,remember that after the unification of the Imperium he made the 12 Primarchs,wich were suppose to be as powerfull as their entire legion or even more.
He may not have possessed he resources of Mars, but he still possessed his genes. The 20 Primarchs were his pinnacle, made to be superior warriors, master generals, and charismatic leaders, along as sources of mass produced super soldiers.
The Custodes helped him unify Terra, but their roles were different due to the slow processes that created them. They're still tougher than the average SM.
As far as we know, Grey Knights are still Space Marines. Custodes are something else.

All Grey Knights posses the most powerfull weapons and armor of the imperium,they have psyker powers and are trained to use them both in offense and defense,exemple a Grey Knight can burn living beings from existance,basicly they are erassed even from the warp. This is the first time you've actually made a halfway decent argument, though. All the rest was just rumors (directly from the Emperor's genes), or without much of a point (the Primarchs are stronger).
Grey Knights are potent Psykers and that's the main thing that separates them. Whether that would tip the balance in their favor is not necessarily clear.
Custodes aren't soldiers. They are bodyguards. They rarely leave the Imperial Palace and never Terra. They never will be in real battlefield conditions unless someone attacks Terra and the palace again. Personally I don't think they are better then Marines.
Sisters are trained to be restraiend from the Temptations of chaos, they have more training mentally, than the adeptus, but are not a as diverse military force, basically, Sisters a sent in for, the direst missions, mostly against chaos, and the Space marines, are simply, made to kill, nothing more, more elegant chapters train to strive off chaos in all its forms however.

My friend has a mainly gretchin army for the fun of it and he was playing against Chaos Demons. All the gretchin took down the Bloodthirster. It was hilarious. Of course, he lost about half of his army in that round...
Only because of same weapons - Bolter and same ballistic skill - 4, in melee the sisters get torn to pieces by the space marines, typically assault squads for that matter, Vanguards can kick anythings ass in teh 40k universe, id even assault a titan with them.

I know this may be a little too technical, but in the novel "Cain's Last Stand" it shows that a whole monestary of sisters fell to chaos. To be fair though they turned because of a very powerful psyker that can turn people into chaos just by being within line of sight.
Of all the Emperor's servants, I think there are only two groups who can make the claim that none of their own have ever turned. One is of course the Grey Knights chapter of Space Marines, and the other, possibly the Adeptus Custodes, the mysterious personal guard of the Emperor.

Maybe you are right, although some books and an old SoB codex mentions corrupted Sisters like Miraiel Sabathiel. Still, the fluff changes all the time and the books are not necessarily canon. It just confuses me because you know how much effort they put into the Grey Knights to make them incorruptible and make a big deal about it. I guess you could argue that SoB believe in the Emperor as a god, which gives them more fanatical faith and they don't directly fight daemons as much as Grey Knights.
I've been reading the new SoB book Faith and Fire, and from what I read, it'd be pretty damn hard for them to turn.
The main bad guy is a crazy psyker criminal. To the Sob, he's pretty much a heretical witch that they originally wanted to burn at the steak at a festival lol. They're crazy enough as it is, probably too crazy for chaos.
One of them gets her mind infiltrated by the psyker and just from having her mind opened up and read like that alone she chooses to get herself stripped of the Sister of Battle name and becomes a Repentia lol.
I think there is actually one instance of an SoB turning... She became a Slaanesh follower. But, compared to Imperial Guard and Space Marines, Only Sisters have the bragging rights in this regard.

Sisters of Battle are mainly a joke when put in front of any Space Marine Chapter... they are even a joke compared to some of the worst Imperial Guard companys.
Oh, and soulstorm? if you think the dawn of war games have any representation on the actual fluff or warhammer 40k game, you are outside your mind. In fact sisters of battle table top has a similar faith-based ability that called the spirit of the martyr which does grant them an invulnerable save.
It's a tough army to play, an even tougher army to master, unlike the new player armies... IE marines.
well in the real 40k games the sob r not a faction. They r just part of a greater faction named witch hunters. Sob only hope them because while sob serve the ecclisiarchy, the wich hunters belong to the inquisition.

After the age of apostasy. It was forbidden for the Ecclesiarchy to have men at arms. And a wise guy discovered that the adeptas Sororitas were not "men" at arms. So the Ecclesiarchy engaged the sisters of battle as their own military because of the ban on using "men at arms".
Keep in mind, faith and devotion are two different things. Sisters faith is such that the emperor answers their prayers on such a level. There is a big difference between power armored, heavy engineered custodes and grey knights which come from the emperor's very geneseed (speculation but still) and plain humans that bring nothing but power armor and bolter to a fight against the worst that man-kind has to fight. Thus where psychic powers, lots of bodies and etc fight, faith bridges that gap.
*Shrug* I whole heartedly agree, and of all the forces in the warhammer world, the grey knights and the sisters are thee most devote and faithful, in fact the grey knights, unlike most space marine chapters are a religious order dedicated to hunting out the very things of chaos that plague man-kind. Their actions will never be known, they fight for a people who do not care about them or know their names.
This is why the army I am building is a composite (allies) of knights and sisters.

i'm quite bad informed but arent the custodians the emperors finest?i meen,yes all marines and terminators espetialy say that in the game,but practicly the custodians are alot better than any marine/sister/inquisitor/gray knight etc.etc.

Grey Knights were created after the Horus Heresy afaik,and they are alot more powerfull then a custodian. They have to pass 666 trials ,survive a ton of implants,must have a high connection to the warp (be a psyker) and are equiped with the most devastating and powerfull weapons of the imperium.

Most of those trials and implants have to do with specifically combating the terrors of the Warp. The GK are the finest anti-daemon unit, but are they better overall than a Custodes? The Emperor's own bodyguards?
We don't have much information on them asides from the fact they kill Space Marines pretty damn easily (Prospero) and they hardly ever suffered any losses when they were in active combat.

Why not? As far as we know, Custodes are the Emperor's first sustained "proto-Marines", made even before the Primarchs. They are, by most accounts, larger and stronger than the average Space Marine. Who's to say there's no chance they share something of his genes?

Custodes were one of the first SM to be made by the Emperor,however at the time,it was during the unification wars,when he did not posses the resources of Mars and the other Imperial worlds,remember that after the unification of the Imperium he made the 12 Primarchs,wich were suppose to be as powerfull as their entire legion or even more.

He may not have possessed he resources of Mars, but he still possessed his genes. The 20 Primarchs were his pinnacle, made to be superior warriors, master generals, and charismatic leaders, along as sources of mass produced super soldiers.
The Custodes helped him unify Terra, but their roles were different due to the slow processes that created them. They're still tougher than the average SM.
As far as we know, Grey Knights are still Space Marines. Custodes are something else.

All Grey Knights posses the most powerfull weapons and armor of the imperium,they have psyker powers and are trained to use them both in offense and defense,exemple a Grey Knight can burn living beings from existance,basicly they are erassed even from the warp. Not to mention they were created to deal with the rising Daemon threats wich werent soo obvious during the Custode time.Custodes are awesome,but Grey Knights ftw.

This is the first time you've actually made a halfway decent argument, though. All the rest was just rumors (directly from the Emperor's genes), or without much of a point (the Primarchs are stronger).
Grey Knights are potent Psykers and that's the main thing that separates them. Whether that would tip the balance in their favor is not necessarily clear.

Custodes aren't soldiers. They are bodyguards. They rarely leave the Imperial Palace and never Terra. They never will be in real battlefield conditions unless someone attacks Terra and the palace again. Personally I don't think they are better then Marines.

Sisters are trained to be restraiend from the Temptations of chaos, they have more training mentally, than the adeptus, but are not a as diverse military force, basically, Sisters a sent in for, the direst missions, mostly against chaos, and the Space marines, are simply, made to kill, nothing more, more elegant chapters train to strive off chaos in all its forms however.

My friend has a mainly gretchin army for the fun of it and he was playing against Chaos Demons. All the gretchin took down the Bloodthirster. It was hilarious. Of course, he lost about half of his army in that round...

Only because of same weapons - Bolter and same ballistic skill - 4, in melee the sisters get torn to pieces by the space marines, typically assault squads for that matter, Vanguards can kick anythings ass in teh 40k universe, id even assault a titan with them.

I know this may be a little too technical, but in the novel "Cain's Last Stand" it shows that a whole monestary of sisters fell to chaos. To be fair though they turned because of a very powerful psyker that can turn people into chaos just by being within line of sight.

Of all the Emperor's servants, I think there are only two groups who can make the claim that none of their own have ever turned. One is of course the Grey Knights chapter of Space Marines, and the other, possibly the Adeptus Custodes, the mysterious personal guard of the Emperor.

Maybe you are right, although some books and an old SoB codex mentions corrupted Sisters like Miraiel Sabathiel. Still, the fluff changes all the time and the books are not necessarily canon. It just confuses me because you know how much effort they put into the Grey Knights to make them incorruptible and make a big deal about it. I guess you could argue that SoB believe in the Emperor as a god, which gives them more fanatical faith and they don't directly fight daemons as much as Grey Knights.

I've been reading the new SoB book Faith and Fire, and from what I read, it'd be pretty damn hard for them to turn.
The main bad guy is a crazy psyker criminal. To the Sob, he's pretty much a heretical witch that they originally wanted to burn at the steak at a festival lol. They're crazy enough as it is, probably too crazy for chaos.

I think there is actually one instance of an SoB turning... She became a Slaanesh follower. But, compared to Imperial Guard and Space Marines, Only Sisters have the bragging rights in this regard.

Oh, and soulstorm? if you think the dawn of war games have any representation on the actual fluff or warhammer 40k game, you are outside your mind. In fact sisters of battle table top has a similar faith-based ability that called the spirit of the martyr which does grant them an invulnerable save.
It's a tough army to play, an even tougher army to master, unlike the new player armies... IE marines.

After the age of apostasy. It was forbidden for the Ecclesiarchy to have men at arms. And a wise guy discovered that the adeptas Sororitas were not "men" at arms. So the Ecclesiarchy engaged the sisters of battle as their own military because of the ban on using "men at arms".

Keep in mind, faith and devotion are two different things. Sisters faith is such that the emperor answers their prayers on such a level. There is a big difference between power armored, heavy engineered custodes and grey knights which come from the emperor's very geneseed (speculation but still) and plain humans that bring nothing but power armor and bolter to a fight against the worst that man-kind has to fight. Thus where psychic powers, lots of bodies and etc fight, faith bridges that gap.

*Shrug* I whole heartedly agree, and of all the forces in the warhammer world, the grey knights and the sisters are thee most devote and faithful, in fact the grey knights, unlike most space marine chapters are a religious order dedicated to hunting out the very things of chaos that plague man-kind. Their actions will never be known, they fight for a people who do not care about them or know their names.
This is why the army I am building is a composite (allies) of knights and sisters.
