I got my predator last november 2010, it has scope mount issue like many. Insted of fighting Barnet again, I bought a Parker Concorde over E-bay for a little more than half the price of Bass Pro Shop. The Predator has Issues that Barnet won't get back to me on... One is the cheek piece being to short the other is the string serving, and now the scope mounting. Also I did order a string from them a month almost ago and just now are they shipping it from what the lady told me on the phone today.
BAD FIT ON EVERY PREDATOR IS THE CHEEK PIECE! I have spent lots a money on this mail order just to find it has a cheek piece that makes it like shooting a pistol. I should a bought a Parker! Nice CB, But Crummmmy Cheek piece! WX9DX
for all of you that thinks this is fake.You are dead wrong...I have had several xbows in my life and the difference between a 150lb recurve and a 175lb compound xbow like the pedator is night and day..The more fps the more distance and penetration just like with fire arms..
I just got a barnett jackal at 315 fps its a beast....back in 2000 barnetts most powerful crossbow was the quad 300 which produced 310-315 fps... I have always loved crossbows and had a few cheap ones,but todays crossbows are beasts...does anyone know how much the new barnett ghost bolt drops?...Mine at 315 fps drops appox 10 inches after 30 yards to the 40 yard mark...
Nice shooting fella. I have a predator that I shoot out to 100 yards ( bench rest ) with fair to good results. I shoot 22" carbon express maxima hunter bolts 454 grain with flex fletch extreme 360 vanes to eleminate vane flutter and gain repeatable range. To all that think there is not enought KE at 100 yards to produce a pass through with a 454 grain bolt still in the 260fps range at 100 yards, that = 68lbs KE. It takes 45 ke to produce a pass through on a white tail. Go to bed children.
this bow is junk its cheap made and the 4 x 32 scope that comes with it is junk the 15 to 23 yard is a dead on shot but any of the yard mark after it is 2 to 3 feet off target i had it replace and it the same 3 scopes now and the same thing when you call barnett thay cant help you with anything about the bow they said they don't no anything about them and they can just send me a new part. what a crock
@brandon81250 I had the same problem you had and was very pissed..the probem was not the scope it was the weaver rail not being lined up with the arrow track... My weaver rail was pointing to the left ..so i took it appart and noticed the firing assembly was not fitting tightly,and i could move with my thumb,so i lined it up with thin metal shims and tightened to the max...it was a pain to tweak,but now its dead on at 10-50 yards...I will try longer shots soon,just ran out of space in backyard

i have one of these bad boys and i can attest to it's power. i buried a 22" bolt all the way to the nock into a 20" target from 75 yards. these things have exceptional penetrative power. This is very believable
and 375 fps does not me kenitc energy witch is what 130 i believe is used to push the bolt through the target not the feet per second sorry but your still full of shit
FULL OF SHIT? I shoot 100yrd bulleyes with no rest all the time; but I use a slingshot and it blows the whole other side of the target out. My friend. It is a Barnett slingshot.
@akingsley200 I own one of these(2011 model) as well as other crossbows and this shot is do- able if he has a good scope no wind and is a great shooter...FPS X arrow grains = Kenitic energy...this bow hits extremely hard compared to my other bows.but i had to do a lot of tweaking to zero mine in..

75 yards? soft target..But i know the Predator can bury a 500 gn bolt into a pail of sand 1/2 way in, distance was 120ft..
