Great tutorial :) My problem with curling my hair with straighteners is that I cant slide them down my hair because they are clamped down too tight! I've tried loosening my grip but the hair just falls out! Any suggestions?

I found it funny when she mentioned Dita Von Teese's "hair dresser". Dita does her own hair and has always done it herself, she gets it so perfect from years of practice. :) She mentions it in her autobiography.

I usually wear my hair in a 40s/50s style, and using my hair straighteners is a good shortcut if I haven't had time to pincurl or set my hair properly. They last for AGES, and sadly I can't get curls from curling irons to last in my fine hair, and it's too long for hotsticks now :(

I do get told off by my hairdresser if I do it too often as it does fry my hair a bit!

Two things: 1) Pin curling is a great no heat way to achieve the same look but it takes a lot longer but it can set overnight. 2) I was hoping you would use Lily's brush from the last video...you know the one that complimented you while brushing. So cute and funny.

This looks great, I love Dita and I love all of your tutorials. Also just a trivia, Dita has no makeup, hair or clothing stylist. She does everything herself and has said there are very few occasions where she has not done her own hair and makeup. I also read on her blog that she is releasing a book around the new year about her beauty routine, it would be interesting to see how long her very glamorous look takes her to complete. @weshasawi try washing your hair and then it WILL go back to it's natural state :Lstraightening/ curling your hair with a flat iron is nit pernament. Your hair may of just changed naturally ( hair can do this) hope this helped x

ATTENTION: do NOT do this technique if you have naturally curly hair, and you want to preserve your curls .. i did this technique once, and i lost my curls until my hair grew out.. it sort of permanently made my hair straight..
