I was there then when they filmed this. I remember getting their atuographs and pictures with them, this was filmed in Pelham Parkway in the Bronx and they were in the ally between Cruger and Holland Avenues

They filmed the women slapping around Joey on Lydig in front of what used to be Benny's candy store, now known has John and Joe's Pizzaria, that was a fun few weeks.

the High school they filmed in was Columbus High School, and those were the real desks too, hahaaaa

I lived in the area where they filmed this movie. Even the park where they fight is where I went to play football as a kid. You can also see Fordham Road, Kingsbridge and the Alexanders mega store. That scene right here happened at Valentine's Avenue. It's amazing to see the place back then and now. It's so different!

How about Arthur Ave? (No, I'm not from the Bronx, never even been there, but maybe soon). I heard Arthur Ave is the real Little Italy of NYC. I also heard that even the good parts of the Bronx are kinda dangerous after dark. You gotta get in and out of the Bronx while it's still daylight, I was told. The "D" train would take you right to the spot you see in the movie. About the Bronx been so dangerous that you have to leave while there's still sun light is kinda not true. I mean, it is dangerous to be walking late at night in ANY city of the USA. It's not like Iraq in the bronx.
