He did it all by himself. He saw us run on it and decided to try on his own. He loves it!

@densjo A lot of people do this. When I fostered 4 large breed dogs I would train them to do this so that if I had a long day at work and could not take them for a long walk, they would take turns on the treadmill.

Teach your dog to heal. Leash him put him on it, at a very slow pace...make him heal, eventually he will do it whenever you ask him.
