  • In the Websters dictionary next to IDIOT should be a picture of John McCain

  • I wasnt defending Mr Mc Cain

  • I LIVE IN BRITAIN AND THE GOVERNMENT DOESNT MAKE ANY CHOICES IN OUR HEALTHCARE, DONT LISTEN TO THIS FUCKING STUPID FASCIST BULLSHIT PROPOGANDA

  • I agree socialism SUCKS.

  • @LudicrousScotty101

its a universal healthcare system, every developed nation has one except america.

fucking wake up and smell the bacon you dumb fuck.

most countries with it arent socialist, but you dont even know the definition of the word so i dont know why i bother.

people like you should be eliminated from the gene pool

    ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

  • @colour749 Ya whatever politics in general still suck,Go screw MMMMLLLaaaaarrr

  • Just cut the craps making bombs and we can afford the world's best single payer health care in this country. John McCain should be taken off the coverage that we paid with out tax money.

  • typical rhetoric... nothing new, same ole response... You can knock people down but you cant really come up with a better alternative solutions... Please just retire! Your ideas are not fresh and with the times, you need to enjoy your senior years and take it easy ....

  • I know he wants to finish talking but its kind of rude just to ignore him like that.

  • how come nobody has yet to punch McCain right in his smiling, well-fed face? Or maybe send him back to Vietnam in his better-than-usual "prison camp" so he can tell his boring bullshit war stories.

  • boring bullshit war stories? Fuck You! He was a POW for 6 years!

  • you punks hating on McCain. What has he done to this country? NOTHING! John McCain knows about the US military, AND the US alone. He knows more about this country than any of us.

  • Heath care affordable....a person's health should have no price tag...idiot McCain

  • Go to Canada? Uhh I live in Canada McCain you dunce and I can tell you our Healthcare system is great. All that bullshit about waiting for weeks for treatment is complete and utter nonsense, and does not square with the facts at all. And it's not just Canada and Britain, virtually all developed European countries use Government healthcare.

  • Amen brotha!!! it's just amazing how the media and the powers above us try to make us feel it cant work ... it's a pathetic lie ... so sick and tired of this crap ... thank god Obama got in there..

  • Amen my Canadian brotha!!! ... The powers above us have been fooling us for years on how bad health care is in England and Canada... I have family from England and visit Canada all the time ... it's like WTF are they talking about...lol the American people are starting to get it now and it's about time!!!! HR676 spread the word

  • Canadians rip-off American patents. The U.S. companies pay the big bucks to develop medicine, then Canada rips them off.

Why don't you Canadians try developing your own medicines and then see if you can afford government run health care. You Canadians are nothing but leaches who leach-off American research and development. Next time you use your medicine, find out where it was developed.

  • @tuor1984 he wasnt saying anything bad about your health care system he was saying to the guy that asked what was wrong with it and he gave examples of health care systems that are good... i think. im only 14 and im working on a project so i might be wrong...

  • Your watching McCain's collapse in this video ... he just doesn't understand what Americans are going through with this failed health care system .... he just doesn't get it ... we cant continue to allow these insurance companies to control the market like they do ... we also cant allow hospitals to charge what they charge... lets stand up America and stop this murder machine called managed care ... lets end this NOW ... health care for EVERY American ... leave NO ONE BEHIND

  • In Denmark; where I live, the treatment for any disease is free! Our Health Care is one of the best in the world! We have close to no debt! We are in war in afghanistan - just got out of iraq! Wealth in a christian, democratic

capitalistic country - is about having a healty and well educated workforce! Our educations, on all levels is free, you get paid to be educated! Taking care of your fellow Americans is not only the only decent thing to do - its good buisnes!

( sorry for my english )

  • There are a number of enterprises who shouldn't have to make a profit. Is the police or fire departement run with the profits in view? No, of course not. The fire truck comes to every burning house no matter if the house on fire costs actually less than it costs to exstinguish it.

The same with health care. Who wants to have an insurance agency taking care of your health with profits in sight?

: military, police, fire department and especially health care.

  • "I know what it's like in America, not to have health care..." Sen. John McCain, 1:51

    FUCKING

    LIAR

  • at 2:18

did he say "we can provide insanity?"

    vote obama

  • McCain sir you are completely outta tough with what Americans are going through ... and god bless Canada and there wonderful health care system ....

  • OUTTA TOUCH .....

  • i hate him. Hes so evil. Its like when he talks his eyes become red and horns come out of his head. Hes worse than bush.

  • i live in canada and i love canadian health care system. IF mccain hates government health care why does he fight to get himself off of government health care? 2 faced liar

  • WTF! GO TO CANADA?...we have had a universal health care for decades. soon, startin in february of 2009 health care is goin to be a right, not a previladge! and guess what, our economy is doin way better than yourz old man!

  • If this video doesn't convince you to NOT vote for McCain, nothing will. Wake up, people.

  • McCain is JACKASS! Not only did he have military and congress healthcare, he married into wealth. What scumbag. Looking out for rich people only. shame on you.

  • But people with medicaid die on medicaid! You have to have everything pre-approved and they will not authorized many of the medicines and treatment options. I know I buried someone with breast cancer. McCain doesn't know of what he speaks.

  • ROSS:people on gov't plans die waiting too. Many gov't plans also require you to get pre-approval & if you need a knee replacement or something they feel can wait-the average time in 2007 for knee replacement was 17 1/2 weeks. I don't think America's REALLY ready for that. Emergency room waits average 7 hours. Regular visits often sit 2 hrs to see a regular doctor. That's AFTER you wait 6 days to get into the office. Michael Moore is wrong. Most gov't healthcare is disastrous! Go read a/b it.

  • Go across state lines to find affordable health care?????????

The grass is greener on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE???

    BWAAAAHAHA!!!

I would love to see this health care plan implemented, as even his zombie army of middle and lower class rednecks would be storming the White House!!

  • John McCain can't complete a sentence without , letting us all know for the 1000th time, that he was a POW, what a asshole, If Goverment Health care is good enough for John McCain, I would like to have the oppertinity to give it a try, Aerrgent bastard Im Voting For Obama

  • stupid mccain, he's not going to fool me his plans are full of flaws and loop holes.

  • Thank God, I hope your voting for Obama?

  • absolutely.

  • Mccain is so easy to anger.

  • As i said in other videos, I'm not american but i like watching these vids...heh heh, with that temper no one will vote for him. I say, Obama should.

  • His health care plan is a real problem but what he said was a cheap shot was her comments about his having received government health care his whole life and he was right about that. You undercut your own crediblity when you exaggerate your point that way. McCain's about to lose the election on this policy position and instead of just letting it happen, you want to be a "radical". What a joke.

  • What a hypocrite!! He has had government health care all his life he just doesnt want anybody else to have anything remotely. His involvement in the KEATING 5 is horrible!!! His atomic temperament is also scary!! Hell blow up any minute. Listening to a lot of McCain supporters, they have no idea why they would support him except that he is Caucasian. His running mate, Sarah Palin, is just not prepared at all to lead the strongest nation on earth. Hope he retires after the election!!

  • What a bullshitter.

  • Uhm how much do you really know about health crisis in America? Do you really think that Universal health care is the solution? I'm not down to pay some fat ass who doesn't take care of himself his health care. It's hard enough living in this economy trying to survive on your own then topping it off by paying someonelse's health care when I'm healthy! Also, do you really want to wait months and months to see a doctor when you need it most? I don't think so!

  • you don't know what the hell your talkin about

  • lol...I don't? But that's all you can come up with? What else do you have to say rather than, "oh you dont know what you're talking about". Great justification. Clap* Clap* -- Not!!

  • like I said you don't know what the hell your talkin about, what makes you think through Obama's healthcare plan you'll be paying for some fat ass who doesn't take care of himself.. you're so fuckin stupid!

God I hope you're not voting, you probably can't even afford healthcare anyways so I don't even know why your crying about it!

I pay $380 a month on health ins. and with mccains dumbass healthcare plan I'll be paying over $700 a month, thats probably half of what you make in a month lol!

  • Adamisabelle you are one misinformed individual. Can you even calculate? where the hell did you get $700?!?! He is giving you $5,000 in credit which is giving you back $440 extra a year. Obama's plan, you'll be paying that through tax. Imagine the high priced gasoline we're paying right now, double that and that's your cost for health insurance. FYI I pay $160 per month for my health insurance because I'm young and i'm healthy. The reason why you're upset is because your fat ass got rated up!

  • where the hell did I get $700 from you think I just pulled it from the air you are DUMB first of all idiot I pay $380 a month and my employer pays the rest, he'll drop me if Mccain wins causing me to pay the full $700 a month, I'm not a fat ass that sits on my ass, I'm 23 years old I have a wife and 2 children that are on my health Ins. WOW $5,000dollar credit HEY DUMBASS the adverage health INS cost $12,000 dollars, $5,000 dollars won't even cover half, get you facts right IDIOT!

  • adamisabelle: Oh my goodness, sensitive? You're the one defensive buddy so chill out! First of all I am in the health care industry, I know more terminology in health insurance than what you will EVER know! Lastly, you're getting screwed buddy, because you're paying way too much for health insurance. Not only is Mccain proposing tax credit, but he is making health insurance more affordable for everyone.

  • How is it more affordable if you cant even @#$%@#$^ get the insurance in the first place because of pre existing conditions... dude you sound so ridiculous... insurance companies pick and choose who is a high risk or not ... then your premium can be as much as 1,000 a month if you do qualify... this is the most ridiculous thing ever in this country ... it really is ... HR676 ... lets pass it

  • OH yeah the only reason why you pay $160 a month for health ins. is cause you have shitty health ins.LMAO if you only knew what you were paying FOR LOL! whats your coverage MAYBE 80% if your LUCKY give me a break you probably don't even know. You probably just went out and paid for whatever was cheapest right?! yeah I guess you pay the price for ignorance, the day you need your health ins. and they drag their feet just remember what I said'you get what you payed for'which is not much LOL

  • adamisabelle: Let me explain to you why you're even paying that much in health insurance. You're getting a plan through a group policy which does not require any underwriting. Therefore, anyone employed under your company is guaranteed insurance. So you're paying for the people that have pre-existing condition or the higher risk individuals. That doesn't sound like you agree with that one bit. So Universal healthcare? You wouldn't like that even more.

  • All I know is that my wife had a baby and then 2 months later had surgery and all the bills racked up more than $20,000 in less than 3 months and we didn't have to pay anything but a $10 co-pay, my state is one the most expensive state to buy your own health ins. I could NEVER afford health ins. on my own here.

  • adamisabelle: Universal health care does not mean "FREE". Yes, everyone will have access to healthcare in america but you will have to pay for that through tax. Imagine having to triple our taxes. Gas price, tripled. Everything you buy cost 3 times as much. Can you afford that? Your 20k for a simple surgery, add cancer bills, heart, stroke, all the major illnesses which range from 250k-500k on a one time occurance and dispersing that to all the tax payers in america. It's not cheap as you think.

  • I wonder how you'll feel when you are no longer "young and healthy", you lose your job, and oops, you find out that you have cancer, diabetes, or MS at a tender young age. People who are against universal healthcare for some reason think that they are invincible and that they will never lose their jobs or ever get sick. But then reality hits them in the face with a cold hard slap.

  • The irony about this Adamisabelle is that your credibility just spoke for itself by using foul languages on a public site which make me believe that you're not a well educated person and a very flawed one may I add. Like $380 month really proves that you make more than anyone here. Must be the koolaid on your upper lip. You have no clue why you're even voting. Do some research and get back to me.

  • wow you think just because someone uses foul language on a public site means their not well educated UH OK I think you're just to sensitive, not my fault.

I didn't say $380 a month proves that I make anymore than anybody here, maybe if you could read and use some common sense you would understand the commment.

  • What will you do when your "private, for-profit" insurance company tells you that they won't cover the medical care you need? What will you do when your kid's operation totals $235,000.00 and the "private, for-profit" insurance company tells you they'll only cover $75,000.00 because you reached your "annual contractual limit" and you have to declare bankruptcy? Would universal health care sound good then? In other countries, citizens don't pay one dime for health care; it comes out of taxes!

  • jsoy:who pays taxes? YOU DO. Who would pay for health care? YOU! Wouldn't you rather have your own money & a $5000 tax credit to pay for a plan that suits you? It's interesting but notable that while we're fighting for a plan simmilar to Canada-they are fighting for a privatized plan like ours.

ALso-it is not one plan for the whole country. Each providence sets their own rates on top of the taxes. Some pay $100 a month- some pay more but generic prescriptions cost them 101% more than we pay

  • Dude you cant pay for plans that suit you if you have pre existing conditions ... don't you get that? we cant allow private insurance to decide whether a treatment is necessary and wont be covered when doctors say there is a chance... WE HAVE to regulate health care and stop letting people die .. dude wake up ... even if we dont go to totally controlled government health care at least regulate these insurance companies... and regulate what hospitals are charging .. for god sake man

  • funky: I support regulation. I don't support gov't health care. Let me say this as a person w/ a mother who has a pre-condition-my mother had to apply for private health care & be turned down, & had to purchase state health care for 1 yr at $600 a month & after that she was eligible for medicaid. That was the condition for her to get medicaid-be denied coverage, then 1 year of state insurance. Now she has medicaid & she loves it. She qualified for Medicaid b/c she has a pre-existing condition.

  • Finally! Someone who knows what they are talking about! If medicare goes bankrupt what's going to happen to your mother, grandmothers and your future? Medicare is going BANKRUPT!! How will nationalizing healthcare help? Look at Hawaii, the closest thing we have to universal healthcare, been implemented only 6 months and is already going bankrupt. Regualation of health insurance companies -- I completely agree!!

  • jsoynbnj: Simple, my health insurance covers it because I have a good health plan. The problem is, everyone thinks that all insurance companies are the same when they are not. You just proved my point. Thank you. The real attack should be then, regulate these health insurance companies instead of giving up all your rights to the government. Ask the VA the quality of care they are receiving now. You'll hear more bad than good. Then look at it on nationalized scale, it's a scary picture.

  • How would you feel if your good insurance canceled you or refused to pay. Sure, it's good for a broken arm, flu, or a check up. Any long term illness or injury will result that way. What about giving people the choice? 1000 out of pocket does not cover the 80,000 they refuse to pay. Medicaid was created for the elderly when insurance stopped covering them.

  • Boy, is he creepy. I don't know anyone who is still planning on voting for McCain.

  • I know what you mean, I have not seen 1 yard sign, bumper sticker, or anything, I don't beleive the polls entirely, I think the gap is way way larger. please Vote for Obama

  • He is a nasty, mean, elitist puppet and we will be in trouble if he steals this election. WHO is voting for this man...? My god, do they research the issues? His lack of character and diplomacy is appalling. And that's to fellow Americans! His foreign policy is a joke. God help us all.

  • I'm an Obama supporter but I like John McCain's view on healthcare.. Without the private system in America that screws most people over, the world would be 20 years behind in health care advancement. All the new therapies and treatment approaches come from there. Canadians, British, etc. just take that and use it.

  • I don't think you understand the issue. Both systems could be in place. Rich people could still have the best care in the private sector that won't go away. So it is great that you do support Obama, but I hope you do a little more research into this particular issue. We have the best medical schools in the world also -- why would they just disappear over night?

  • George to McCain: Why can't every American get the kind of health care that members of congress get?

    McCain: Thats a cheap shot.

    Boy is McCain mean.

  • I love how he brings up his POW experience every time he faces a tough question.

  • McCain dodges a legitimate question: Why shouldn't regular citizens have the same health care coverage as members of Congress?

Or are they morally superior to us?

This clip shows McCain's usual moral vanity shining through.

  • McCain is such a jerk. Nobody with a heart or any intelligence would vote for him.

  • "They tried that in other countries?"

WE HAVE IT! And it works. He's counting on the ignorance of plebs! I'v never waited more than an hour. And when my finger was nearly slashed off with a knife (7 stitches) I didn't wait at all. And the cost: 10 euros. (cuz the doctor was on sunday night shift. during the day: even cheaper.)

  • if only I could write what I think of this ....so-called human. If, God forbid, the election is stolen for him, everyone get a suitcase and get out of this country. I am taking my cats and heading out to anywhere, because we will be toast. If I am a refugee in a third world country, it will be better than being in the U.S. with McCain and fellow thugs. Indee, Bush on Steroids.

  • I lived in Russia and we had a free healthcare, the technology is shitty (just like everything else in there) but it's heck better than nothing like here in USA unless you or your employer pays big bucks and you have no preexisting condition like cancer or MS etc. Unemployed, broken wrist, f*ck you senator McSAME!

  • im canadian and i think my healthcare system is great!

sure we have minor troubles as does every health care system... but overall the benefits canadians recieve are nothing to complain about.

  • Just goes to show what a complete asshole he really is! Tell me why do people want this idiot for president...he makes me cringe...I am a viet nam vet also and I despise this f**ing scumbag.

  • A rich, old, spoiled brat that has always had health care, doesnt care about the cost, it costs him nothing!

  • what is it with the US and the frear of government run health care i live in a country with free heath care for its tax payers its not perfect but it works if you are sick or injured you will be taken care of

  • rich people/greed is the problem

  • A hip replacement in England takes 8 months because of Universal Health care programs. That is what is wrong with it.

  • my grandmother had firstcare (a premium HMO) AND medicare and it still took her 6 mos to get her knee replacement. And when she developed a brain tumor, the hmo dropped her completely.

  • I think HMOs are one of the real problems with this country. They don't go to school or experience enough situations. All they really care about is how you will make the payments.

  • what an ignorant scumbag... and im from AZ.

  • Now Now, Mama says cut the insults and lets get down to facts. For people who actually do have health insurance paid by their company, John Mccain wants you to pay taxes on that benefit. He wants to give a $5,000 tax credit to use to pay for health insurance. Has anyone actually priced health insurance lately!! It is for health people only, sick people need not apply A $5,000.00 tax credit doesn't do you much good if you don't have a job! I do agree that Mccain's idea is a loser.

    VOTE OBAMA!

  • did he say MEDICAID???? what an ignorant jerk!!!

  • this guys excuse for everything is being a POW

  • Yeah, let's leave the choice up to families. Pay for health insurance or buy food!

  • wrong. pre-existing care=no deal. then again, if you pay, have an issue, they will try to DENY it or find a way to get the "loss" (payment) back via finding something or just cutting you. watch SICKO movie, its well done.

  • whenever he gets cornered he goes back to his sympathy words, I am so sick and tired of hearing his prisoner story. Now we have palin, on the same page with her clan, in all conditions.PEOPLE please do not be so taken in and vote for these people who know exactly what they are using this all for...They want votes, no matter how they get it. in service families when he was growing up, did pretty good,my uncle worked in Annapolis and was service connected for 22 years too. McCain is a loser

  • Oh you cad, Johnny, playing that POW card at every turn!

  • Seems to me Canada's and Britain's health care system works a hell of a lot better than ours does. I'll take whatever imperfections their systems have ANY DAY over the NON-system in the US. We are the ONLY industrialized nation in the world with no national health care plan for its citizens. That's beyond pathetic. C'mon American, have the smarts to focus on real issues! Health care is a HUGE one!

  • Since when is being a "war hero" tantamount to being a great leader of our country? I don't care if he spent 20 years in a hellhole in a third-world country instead of five...McCain as President & that bobblehead that won't even sit down for an interview on real issues as Vice President will definitely f*ck this country up beyond its "wildest dreams". He can't even listen to a disagreement w/o getting hotheaded. Is that what America really wants?

  • No matter who wins our country will still be controlled by an obligarchy.

  • If you have a pre-existing condition or you lost your employer group health insurance because you lost your outsourced job, then you have NO CHOICE in health care. Families that are uninsured can't make health care choices - they get no care.

When are we going to put together a system that works for everyone, all paying in on a fair basis according to our means and receiving care according to need? Not welfare, an equitable fair health care system.

  • Libertarian Party 08.

  • He is so full of shit.

  • he knows is going to lose! its the retreat of the big bullshit of bush admnistration...the already done the big bucks..its time to disapear with this hasshole..its just a piece of shit in the plan....wake up stupid americans....

  • Did he just say he knows what it's like not to have health care??? Really?? Please America, if you value human life even a little you will know better than to vote for Mccain. It broke my heart when The current monkey we have in office was elected twice, It will literally crush my faith in the american people if we are ignorant enough to elect A man whose sole credential is being taken prisoner for 6 years.

  • I am a 25 year old college student who was "blessed" with some crappy genes that makes me have high blood pressure. I can't even get private insurance because I have a pre-existing condition. What a shitty feeling to have when one is trying to become a educated valued member of society and these companies don't want my damn money. This prick has no idea what a real American faces everyday.

  • does he even know what he's talking about? what's wrong with canada and england's health care??? i think it's pretty good.

  • As a lifelong Republican, I am very embarrassed for my party and ashamed by what I see here.

  • When in McCain life did he ever do without healthcare, food, or shelter? When did his children suffer for any petty thing? NEVER!

This man pulls answers out of the air that fit the moment that he's in. In other words, McCain lies in every one of his interviews and speaches. McCain is already lying to the American people. And if he became President, then his lies would be thicker and more consistant.

We are doomed if this old man is put into office.

  • holy shit this motherfucker is not making any sense

  • "What's wrong with government healthcare? Go to Canada"

WHAT? Okay, so here in Canada we have long wait times, but at least people aren't AFRAID to seek the health care they deserve because they're worried they can't pay the bills, or that their insurance will go through the roof. I can't imagine living in America without health insurance.

  • EVERYONE VOTE FOR OBAMA

  • The dude is delusional. He refused to answer the REAL question: Why he does not let all Americans have the same insurance that he has himself—and in all his life? Instead, he uses the POW card. How long can he draw the POW line to justify all his shortcomings. He is offense to all honorable POW, and quite frankly cheapens POW by using it as a political tool.

  • I noticed he didn't answer the question, What's wrong with having government health care. And his blow off answer stating that for a brief period he didn't have health care, a clear reference to when he captured as a POW does not put him on par with every day Americans struggling through years of no health care.

He is so full of shit, typical republican politician. Spin, spin, lie, lie. These jerks have spun webs of bullshit so long they don't even know that they look and sound like idiots.

  • It goes both ways all politicians lie and flip flop. Obama is a socialist, america hating, baby-killing, elitist. Mccain is a over confident war hero, rigid , angry , puppet republican.

Dear dear we are in a mess.

LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE MCCAIN DOESNT HATE AMERICA. OBAMA HANGS OUT WITH EX TERRORISTS AND ANGRY AMERICA BASHING PREACHERS.

    Independent for McCain 08'

  • mccain is just talking nonsense out of his ass...im from canada....the health care here is great...ive never heard of anyone having a problem getting the prescription or treatment they needed when they needed it

  • Uh.. Canada has fantastic healthcare. In grade 9 I was hit by a car in the middle of an intersection an ambulance came, I was taken to the hospital a doctor saw me took an X ray put me in a sling and I was home that night. Didn't cost me a cent, my mother is not particularly wealthy had I been in the States I probably would have stood up and walked home. The ambulence worker said not to move at all as there was a chance I had damaged my neck and not realized it if I had standing up could kill me

  • When the hell did a guy, who was the son and grandson of naval officers, and who joined the military when he was 18, and who became a senator, and who married the richest woman in Arizona ever NOT have healthcare and "know what it's like to not have healthccare?"

  • We are the only industrialized country where people go bankrupt and lose their homes when they get sick. And 50% of all bankrupcies are caused by illness and most of them did have insurance.

In my opinion, that is just disgraceful.

  • McCain doesn't make any sense. Health care won't be affordable under his plan for the vast majority of Americans who can't afford insurance now. He is talking about putting a tiny band-aid over a gaping wound and wanting suffering people to be grateful.

  • Define go wrong....Brtian and Canada have longer life spans than americans because of their advanced equipment and universal healthcare. sure taxes are higher but you get to go to school, have a home, and go to the hospital for free.

  • "We want the families to make the decisions"

Actually you want the insurers the make the decisions. It seems to me that the Republican solution for health care is the status quo. Just throw some tax breaks at people. My question is how is a $2,500 tax credit going to help a cover an entire family? Sure it alleviates some of their burden but they still would have to pay massive amounts of their hard earned money into a corrupt system.

  • he never really answers the question, 'why shouldn't every American get the same type of health care that congress gets?' If anyone needs therapy though, they can go to mytherapycoffee*com

  • According to his words, the health service in the U.S.A would stay in aspects pretty much the same.

  • He didn't describe his action which would lead toward improvement in health service.

  • yeah i come from denmark and our health care system is alot like yours in cananda... universal state coverage all the way! macain gotta realise that a continuation of a private health care system like the amercian will never be able to cover all americans

  • i'm danish!

  • i am from canada. tell me whats wrong with our health care? is it we get covered by....get this...the government!!! :O

  • this angry old man thinks if he keeps bringing up getting locked up in vietnam (how many innocent vietnamese did you kill you angry freaky man) people will vote for him. he uses his vetnam thing like the jews use the holocaust. YAWN

  • In North America, Canada rates as the country with the fairest mechanism for health system finance -- ranked at 17-19, while the United States is at 65-75.

  • Countries judged to have the least fair financing of health systems include The United States, Sierra Leone, Myanmar, Brazil, China, Viet Nam, Nepal, Russian Federation, Peru and Cambodia.

  • America spends a far higher percentage of GDP on health care than any other country but has worse ratings on such criteria as quality of care, efficiency of care, access to care, safe care, equity, and wait times, according to the Commonwealth Fund.[

  • he has NO idea what it's like not to have healthcare.... what a hypocrite... if all military and government have healthcare, why shouldn't everyone?

  • Because it would decrease the quality 10 fold. You don't seem to understand this crucial aspect to the subject. If everyone has healthcare free of charge, the quality is going to drop. Waiting timea will increase tremendously. And worst of all since the gov't is going to pay it, it's going to have control over what you eat, your physical exercise and other aspects of your civil liberties because it has to pay the bill. It's not a black and white issue. You need to start realizing the subtleties.

  • Myth: The United States has the best health care system in the world.

Fact One: The United States ranks 23rd in infant mortality, down from 12th in 1960 and 21st in 1990

  • Fact Two: The United States ranks 20th in life expectancy for women down from 1st in 1945 and 13th in 1960.

Fact Three: The United States ranks 21st in life expectancy for men down from 1st in 1945 and 17th in 1960.

  • Fact Four: The United States ranks between 50th and 100th in immunizations depending on the immunization. Overall US is 67th, right behind Botswana.

Fact Five: Outcome studies on a variety of diseases, such as coronary artery disease, and renal failure show the United States to rank below Canada and a wide variety of industrialized nations.

  • Conclusion: The United States ranks poorly relative to other industrialized nations in health care despite having the best trained health care providers and the best medical infrastructure of any industrialized nation

  • Myth: Universal Health Care Would Be Too Expensive.

Fact One: The United States spends at least 40% more per capita on health care than any other industrialized country with universal health

  • Fact Two: Federal studies by the Congressional Budget Office and the General Accounting office show that single payer universal health care would save 100 to 200 Billion dollars per year despite covering all the uninsured and increasing health care benefits.

  • Fact Three: State studies by Massachusetts and Connecticut have shown that single payer universal health care would save 1 to 2 Billion dollars per year from the total medical expenses in those states despite covering all the uninsured and increasing health care benefits.

  • Fact Four: The costs of health care in Canada as a % of GNP, which were identical to the United States when Canada changed to a single payer, universal health care system in 1971, have increased at a rate much lower than the United States, despite the US economy being much stronger than Canada's.

  • Conclusion: Single payer universal health care costs would be lower than the current US system due to lower administrative costs. The United States spends 50 to 100% more on administration than single payer systems. By lowering these administrative costs the United States would have the ability to provide universal health care, without managed care, increase benefits and still save money.

  • yeah, but my point is him and others like him are privileged and get free health care even tho they're the ones that CAN afford it... it's totally backwards! Fine, I should have said it the other way around. If everyone else (or at least A LOT of people) have to pay, why should he and the rest of the government and military!

  • The profit motive adversely affects the cost and quality of health care. If managed care programs and their concomitant provider networks are abolished, then doctors would no longer be guaranteed patients solely on the basis of their membership in a provider group and regardless of the quality of care they provide. Theoretically, quality of care would increase as true competition for patients is restored.

  • I heard Mccain once supported "Free Markey!" But then he flip flopped again.

  • And didn't McCain take questionable campaign contributions from his buddy - banking crook Charles Keating, and then he "flipped" to vigorously support campaign finance reform.

  • Many more McCain FLip-Flops to come, such as:

McCain criticized TV preacher Jerry Falwell as "an agent of intolerance" in 2002, but has since decided to cozy up to the man who said Americans "deserved" the 9/11 attacks. (Indeed, McCain has now hired Falwell's debate coach.)

  • Good point kybutler: "We are spending trillions of dollars in another country fighting an inane war. Our economy is frazzled, food prices are higher, gas prices are even higher, Americans are losing their homes, single mothers are taking desperate measures to provide for their children while being paid minimum wages~ I am an American solider with 25 years in the Army~ I have been deployed to Iraq twice and I am supporting Senator Obama for President~ We Need Change~"

  • First off I'll start by saying I'm Canadian. When this tool says "go to Canada", this shows his ignorance. My dad recently got cancer and guess what happened, our government run medical system fixed him, and guess how much it cost him....ZERO. Yeah sounds like a terrible system to me. I have nothing but love for my brothers and sisters to the south and from an outsiders perspective I hope you guys make the right decision this time.

  • John McCain (AKA) the Angry Jokester for President~ we are spending trillions of dollars in another country fighting an inane war. Our economy is frazzled, food prices are higher, gas prices are even higher, Americans are losing their homes, single mothers are taking desperate measures to provide for their children while being paid minimum wages~ I am an American solider with 25 years in the Army~ I have been deployed to Iraq twice and I am supporting Senator Obama for President~ We Need Change~

  • I respect your service, but with all do respect don't look towards politicians for change. Look within yourself to make the changes you want. The only person who can really make a difference in your life is yourself. The minimum wage laws are garbage; they're increasing unemployment at tremendous rates. I agree we shouldn't be in Iraq either. But Obama is defiantly not the man for the job.

  • I would agree. I think it's important to have arguments that way nothing is for certain, because if everyone agreed on the war it would last forever. Politics are all about disagreements. However the question is "Is Obama the guy for the job?" I would say no, because he hasn't held up on his plan. His plan goes against the American philosophy of free markey and capitalism. To adopt these would be directly conflicting with what America is about.

  • "Free markey and capitalism!" LOL! Poor skinhead pretending to be intelligent. LOL!

  • John McCain: the guy who got burned by defending noted scumbag/cheat/liar/hypocrit Charles Keating as a member of the Keating Five.

  • Jewstah please explain this new and interesting concept called, "free markey?"

  • I think it's safe to assume I meant, free market. You know, for a peace loving/tree hugging person, you're really an ass. At least Republicans are honest about being an ass. You Democrats lie about it and preach how you like truth. It's hypocritical bullshit.

  • Don't try to save yourself, Free Markey. We know your trying out a new economic model, but shit, can't you come up with a better name? Free Markey - is that your boyfriends name? Lol!

  • Change is what Obama's all about, considering he has flip flopped on every issue in order to just get the vote, who knows what he's really about if he's actually elected.I think we should question all of these things, but question EVERYTHING, don't leave a single topic out.

  • McCains FLip-Flop List: McCain used to oppose Bush's tax cuts for the very wealthy, but he reversed course in February.

McCain was anti-ethanol. Now he's pro-ethanol. McCain supported a major campaign-finance reform measure that bore his name. In June, he abandoned his own legislation.

  • You're absolutely right. Mccain has flip-flopped quite a bit. I would agree. Any politician will say almost anything to get a vote. However on the issue of universal healthcare, this is something Obama has promised us from the beginning of his campaign, now he's saying we'll get cheaper healthcare towards the end of his presidency. He is already trying to go for a re-election. Isn't that how Bush got re-elected, he used the fact that we're in a war in order to be re elected.

  • The only thing McCain can change is his diaper. LOL!

  • McBush will say anything to appeal to voters, it appears that he is at best confused and at the worst displaying mental unfitness just like jew-stah.LOL! There is no end to Mcbush flip flops.

  • It doesn't matter if Mcbush said anything to appeal to voters. BECAUSE HE WAS ALREADY ELECTED...TWICE. IT DOESN'T MATTER. Do I need to provide you with a list of our current presidential candidates?

  • Well, mister Free Markey, when you decide to spell correctly, maybe (but I doubt it)we'll take you seriously. LOL!

  • Really? YOU MISPELLED THESAURUS! Therefore under your understanding, I cannot take you seriously then. There's a difference between a typo and mispelling. A typo is an accidental keystroke. A mispelling is not knowing how to correctly spell the word. You're retarded, stop wasting my time.

  • Its too late to save youself now Mr. Free Markey Jewstah! LOL! I heard that's going to be the next villain in the Bat-Man series.

  • LOL! you're probably looking through hundreds of threads looking for the missing mispelled word, which you won't find, thank you very much! SkinHead jewstah is a very over-compulsive Free Markey person. LOL!

  • Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock,

    I'm a little McCain FlipFlop,

First I'm here, and next I'm there,

Don't be confused by my smoke screen smears.

  • Don't those who wish to contol the masses use catchy phrases in order to get people to buy into their schemes. Hmm. Also poetry is pretty faggy, man. Seriously, don't fucking serenade me.

  • Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock,

    I'm a little McCain FlipFlop,

First I'm here, and next I'm there,

So don't be disappointed when you find me courting democrat cares. LOL! Free Markey - Jew-stah!

  • Considering how you guys are against war and promote peace, you sure do like to fight a lot.

  • On the Bush Tax Cuts I was against them for years,

Only 2 republicans voted against them to be clear,

But now I need votes and I see the error of my ways,

I am for the Tax Cuts as long as it gets votes my way.
