  • actually these are n't all time playoff highlights of moses...these are only 1983 playoff highlights...i watch better highlights of moses but here are some very good to like no3 and no1

  • Play #1. Oh my god.

  • I think Olajuwon was better

  • Yes kid I'm a dumbass? I know a lot about sports. I was just stating that I feel he isn't talked about enough for how great he really was. Wow I really get annoyed with people talking idiotic on the internet.

  • Malone was a force down low, and he could get to the exact spot on the floor that the ball would end up every time, almost like he had played the game once and went back in a time machine to play it again.

  • Not the most finesse big man, but Moses was arguably the best center (with Kareem) in the late 70s and early 80s. I'd rate Moses 5th or 6th in greatest centers of all-time.

  • I was at this game it was nuts everybody was throwing popcorn and shit yelling refs suck! but nobody cared it was all about the basketball love and Moses straight dunking on your fat ass better recognize beeeyotch

  • Lebron traveled

  • He owned Kareem. Owned him.

  • @reggiecleveland don't talk shit to my face see what happens

  • @binka21 I know you are not Kareem. Kareem would have a collection of videos other than Dana Carvey, his tastes would be more masculine.

  • @reggiecleveland say that to Moses Malone's face see what happens

  • @binka21 Are you high? I said Moses owned Kareem. Why would Mose's be upset about that?

  • @reggiecleveland then say that to Kareem's face and see what happens he will sky hook your ass across the parking lot

  • such a high bball IQ.

  • number 7 went hard

  • "fo, fo, fo."

  • 2:06 Kanye West sighting? haha

  • Seriously why aren't any of these from his years with the Rockets?

  • I love Moses Malone!! I remember he dominated Kareem in the Finals that year. He was said to be too strong for the league that year. Unstoppable.

  • Moses impacted Charles Barkley & Hakeem Olajuwon. Big Mo had a hell of a work ethic

  • What did he say to his girlfriend?? Moses, those are big melons.

  • What a defensive powerhouse, he sure gave Kareem some hard nights in the paint.

  • 3:23...this is from a 6ft 10 1/2 inch 265 pound bruiser (the strongest man in the league)

  • Moses was a THUG!!! lol!

  • He was a work horse

  • Malone had a strange game .......... a little ugly.

  • @zackjr he waas the king of the o rebound. of course it was a lil ugly

  • @Treemeslave yeah .... he had an strange offensive. But, well.... NBA champions and MVP.

    Congrats.

  • num. 1 was crazy

  • No. 9 so THAT'S where Hakeem got that move from...

    ;-)

  • @PeekaPeep Agree....how many times did you see (H)Akeem make that move? Signature Malone. I really never paid him much attention until he took on the Celtics in the finals. I was glad to see Doc get a real center after watching Dawkins average 6 rebounds a game for, how many years? Hell, if Doc had a decent center during his NBA days he would have had more than one ring. Moses Malone is underrated to say the least.

  • unbeliaveble how players improved physically in this game. hardly see dunks from this time and only from big players.

  • man oh man MISTER MALONE!!! First guy to come straight out of high school to the pros and boy he just TOOK OFF

GREAT GREAT ball from Moses - - one of the all time great Sixers with Wilt, Sir Charles, Maurice, Hal the Assist Maestro Greer, and the Dr

  • amoure stoudomire.

  • I mention Moses Malone in The History Song.

  • relentless, FO FO FO

  • Demarcus Cousins is a Moses Malone clone. His style of play is so similar to Moses Malone.

  • Demarcus Cousins is a Moses Malone clone? Well, that's a bit of a stretch but if you're somehow right about that, Cousins should go number one overall in the NBA draft. Moses was a badass player!

  • best centers (shouldnt be this much of a debate)

    1. kareem (all time leader in scoreing, 6xMVP)

    2. russle (11xchampion, amazing defender)

    3. Hakeem (amazing defender, 2xchampion, MVP)

    4. Wilt (look at the stats!)

    5. Walton (MVP, 2xchampion, amazing passer)

    6. Malone (amazing rebounder, 3x MVP)

    7. Shaq (4x champion, overrated rebounder and passer and defender, traded 3x, played for 5 teams)

    He was amazing 98-01 though

  • 1.Russel - never lost game 7 of finals, 11 championships, proven to do it without good teamates

    2.Kareem, younger Kareem is better

3.Chamberlain, one season with a 74% field goal average and 50 pt.s per game, but not too good a teamate

4.Karl Malone, very powerful, great teamate

    5.Hakeem Olajawon, fade for victory

6.Dave Cowens, only 6'9, bunch of testostrone

  • @socalilakers agree.Wilt is 3 Akeem is 4Moses must be 5,Walton 8,and David Robinson (2 times even with Tim,MVP,besr scorer once)with Shaq fighting for 6-7,Ewing 9 ,Alonso 10

  • Malone was truely the chairman of the boards. He made the Lakers look ugly on there way to their championship. The duo of Irving and Malone was classic.

  • The Chairman of the Boards!

  • odd first name

  • what was so good about #5

he missed 2 lay ups in a row

  • ROFL #1 is ownage coast to coast cross 3 guys a ankle breaker spin move lay up and hes a center too!i was laughing so hard.

  • Of the greatest centers of all time, Moses was the most blue collar. Fans back then loved him, but today's fans won't understand how good he was. Same goes w/ Wes Unseld and Dave Cowens, blue collar Cs that the modern fan overlooks.

  • he was a good freethrow shooter for a center

  • Yeah Walton is incredibly underrated. He didnt play much but when he did he got the job done. I think Hakeem had the most finesse. Shaq is overrated I think and I dislike his style. Kareem is definately number one.. with strict competetion from Wilt.

  • shaq is the best center all time at his prime when he got the 3 rings. He was unstoppable.

  • i'd say bill russell. he got 6+ rings.

  • Wilt would have stopped him, and therefore, Bill Russell would have stopped him.

  • You must be kidding me. Shaq would have destroyed them. Wilt and Russell are weak compare to the indestructible Shaq attack.

  • @gongxia649 i dunno about that, shaq had 60 pounds on hakeem, and hakeem made him his bitch!!!

but really shaq hakeem wily russell malone, and even kareem (he was an old man when malone owned him in 83) are just basketball fricken gods..huge strong men, with balerina grace..

  • wilt is better

  • You must be kidding. How is Wilt better? He is a weak and skinny player.

  • b/c he averaged 50 points a game for a season

  • man, that doesn't mean he can beat SHAQ download. Wilt was playing against weak people like you and me during his time.

  • yea he played really weak people like KAREEM ABDUL JABBAR , BILL RUSSEL hmmmm let me think who else.... lol

  • wilt weight 300 pounds in his prime...

    is that skinny?!?!

shaq was around 315 for most of his career.

and what about weak?!?! how can a weak person grab the most rebounds in NBA history?!?!?

    a fluke perhaps?!?! 23924 flukes ?!?!/?!

  • @gongxia649 Wilt was known to be one of the most powerful centers to ever play the game.

  • @gongxia649 What? Wilt was about 7 foot 1inch and weighted 265 lbs. He was known for being very powerful. When he was young he would liff the ends of cars so someone could change the tire. Shaq may have been bigger and stronger but Wilt was far from weak.

  • @gongxia649 What? Wilt was about 7 foot 1inch and weighted 265 lbs. He was known for being very powerful. When he was young he would liff the ends of cars so someone could change the tire. Shaq may have been bigger and stronger but Wilt was far from weak.

  • @gongxia649 Wilt could bench over 450lbs. thats not weak and skinny

  • Dwight Howard reminds me of this guy...

  • LOL"... youngster's, dwight Howard would be riding the bench behind Moses Malone he was a beast on the boards and played real defense, not just jumping and blocking shots, he made players regret going inside the paint.

  • Malone is way better than Dwight Howard.

  • i love howard, he could jump higher then moses, but moses was a beast with finese..howard is just a beast..

  • highlights are average but the defense sure looks better back then

  • 1) Jabbar 2) Chamberlain 3) Russell 4) Olajuwon 5) Shaq 6) Moses 7) Robinson 8) Ewing 9) Mikan 10) Walton You ask Bill Walton, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, and Shaq who the best Center they've ever played against is: Hakeem the Dream Moses and Dream trained together when Hakeem was at UH. He was giving MVP Moses competion when he was 18 yrs old. Love Moses for his training
  • I like your list and for the most part is pretty good, however this would be a more accurate rating: 1) Jabbar (offensive) 2)Chamberlain (incredibly dominant) 3)Shaq (incredibly dominant as well) 4)Olajuwon (best post moves of all centers) 5)Russell (Defensive minded, rebounder) 6)Moses (rebound machine) 7)Walton (great passer, all around center) 8)Ewing (offensive and defensive threat) 9)Robinson (athletic, tenacious defender) 10)Mikan (dominant for his time)
  • What about Willis Reed?

  • Willis Reed was awesome against Wilt and Kareem in the early 70s. Too bad his career was so short.

  • I like how you mentioned Wes Unseld and Dave Cowens, small centers, but could still put a punch on a big man... Lets not forget Nate Thurmond. The only player to collect quadruple double.

  • lol metalkrush would like to suck reeds dildo hahahah

  • asiangiant fan would like to get but rapped by kobe bryant and suck on dennis roddman"s dick, what a fag!

  • It amazes me how this guy flies under the radar, 3-time MVP, Finals MVP, he averaged 30 & 10 in a season, led the league in rebounding 6 times AND NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS GUY AS BEING THE BEST CENTER EVER, nobody.

  • Cause everything he has accomplished in his great career, isnt even close to the other great centers such as wilt, kareem, shaq and such. In my books top 5 but not the greatest.

  • Wow, not even close? Aside from Wilt, which of the other 2 u named have as many rebound titles? Moses is a 3-time MVP (Shaq only 1ce) & an NBA Finals MVP (Wilt only did that 1ce too like Moses) . Moses is 3rd all-time n rebounds behind only Wilt & Russell, but he has more boards than Kareem & Shaq. Moses' 76ers team only lost 1 game n the postseason the year they won the chip, ONLY Shaq can boast that claim, not Wilt, not Russell, not Kareem, not Hakeem. Moses not even close? I disagree.

  • I've wondered this myself. Why he doesnt get talked about more...? I still think he's behind wilt, kareem, hakeem, maybe shaq and russell 2. Nonetheless he was great

  • shaq also had a little guy named kobe on his team so thats kinda a big deal.. what happened when Hakeem played Shaq in the Finals? Olajuwon swept him and Shaq has had nothing but the utmost respect for the Dream ever since.. Shaq wishes he had Hakeem skill set along with every other center to ever play the game

  • He misses his shots on purpose to get more offensive rebounds

  • Yes sir, you are right in a sense. Moses would put the ball up as fast as he could and then tap it in when it missed. He made his living out of his quickness off the floor.

  • my aunt used to date him

  • Correction: your aunt used to bang him..

  • consider this the rockets won 46 games in 81-82..he went to the 76ers in 82-83, we all know the sixers just basted everyone on there way to the title..but houston did ok with out him right?

    14-68..

  • a 6'8 260 Malone dominating the 7'2 250 Kareem in the 83' finals

    thts crazy...

  • moses was a legit 6ft 10 barefoot at 19, what is this 6ft 8 stuff...its not like he is michael beasley listed at 6ft10 in college, measuring out at 6ft7 at the nba camp

  • whatever

  • one of the most underrated big men of all time

  • @mikepacemaker38

    Wtf

    He got 3 MVP titles...

  • @mikepacemaker38

no one of the most underrated players of all time not just big man

  • @mikepacemaker38 so 3x MVP is underrated ? lol dumbass

  • Moses trained Hakeem Olajuwon for 3 months when Dream was a freshman at UH. 2 legends.

Dream can say he played against people ranging from Moses Malone and Kareem, to guys like Robinson and Shaq. Not many people can say that.

RSblaker's right. Moses owned the boards.

  • @sgbtexan and he also showed Barkley the ropes in Phily as well, no ?

  • @sgbtexan U ARE RIGT BUT EWING ALSO FACED THEM!BUT IN MY OPINION JABBAR FACED ΜΟRE!WILT,COWENS ,LANIER,GILMORE,BELLAMY,THURMOND,WALTON,MOSES,UNSELD,HAYES,,HAKEEM.EWING..ALL HOF!THE ONLY GREAT DID N'T FACE WAS RUSSELL,ROBINSON AND SHAQ!

  • wow, number 1 is just incredible.

  • my dad went to his sons highschool

  • Moses Malone at 6-10 and 270 lbs would have owned Tim Duncan in the Paint easily in his PRIME (1978-1988). Back when 6-10s had the BALLS to Play "CENTER" not like nowadays which you have 7footers afraid of playing against Shaq or Yao and otehr bigger 7footers. Pathetic!

  • 270? I thought he was around 250.

  • YOU SAID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rsblaker have you ever heard of rodman??

  • Did you see the New York bench standing up and watching Moses dribble on the his #1 play.

  • Nobody worked harder on the boards than Moses!

    76ers 82-83 World Champs!

  • i prefer kareem abdul jabbar and wilt chamberlain

  • Moses Malone had the best post center game of the history. No doubt about that...

  • Of course the highlights weren't impressive! That's the main reason why Moses is so underrated, his game wasn't pretty to watch. But ask any contemporary of his - they'll tell you he was their least favorite opponent. Mo was a beast, perhaps the most relentless player ever (I never watched Russel play, so...). And yes, that was Russ on #6, and on #3.

  • Was that Bill Russell commentating on #6? Mo was a beast! So underrated!

  • Greatest offensive rebounder of all-time. No question (I'll leave Wilt out) I've heard stories that sometimes he missed a shot just to get the offensive board. Hilarious.

  • Most of his highlights were against the Laker, Kareem to be more correct. I have never seen Kareem played defense before. But he looks passive as much as I have seen.

  • From Spain! Champioship world! Moses malone great player NBA de todos los tiempos. Repaso a A. Jabbar y Lakers en 1982. Sixers guay! Una desolation los Hawks en los 80´s

  • damn he was good

  • Moses Malone was the first Professional player to play right out of High School. He then became one of the 10 best Centers of all time and 1 of the 3 best rebounders of all time. Mose Malone was a beast and he also mentored Hakeem Olajuwon at the Fonde Recreation Center in Houston setting Hakeem up for greatness.

  • As a fan of Hakeem, I have to thank Moses for his offseason mentoring of Olajuwon. W/O Moses' offseason tutorials of Olajuwon, he may have never attained the status he gained in his career.

  • shut up

  • highlights werent that impressive

  • shut the fuck up salimarthur you are some old shit

  • moses is awesome

  • one of the 5 best centers of all time.

    5/5
