@jblevins400 Dana 30's with superior evolution 30 spline shafts and ox lockers. Some of the rigs in my vids are from walla walla but i live by pendleton and the heep has 4 inches of lift.
@jblevins400 The rear is tubbed and the front required major floorboard/firewall modification. Basically back against the heater motor on the pass side and had to move the fuse panel and wiring harness up on the driver side. If you run a manual you have to bend the clutch arm a bit. The other option is to move the front axle ahead a bit and do more mod to the front, including relocating the turn signals. The white xj in my july snow wheeling vid is done that way.
@jblevins400 -i found some axels u d love they are on Volvo's 6x6 and 4x4 called 13 bil and 1314 volvo, they use trans axels.... chk it great selution...
Made it through some of that stuff pretty easy! Of course that was with all 4's chained up on a heavier truck. Our goal was to not walk out since we were hunting, lol. We did have one incident I wish I had on camera, oh well... Looks like you guys had lots of fun.
Just got stuck in the snow the other day. A friend and I had to walk about 5-6 miles to get cell phone reception to call for a ride home. My truck still stuck there right now. Will go back in a few days to dig it out with shovels. Wish me luck.
r u guys aired down cant tell with all that deep snow everyone was doin great but if u werent aired down u should try next time u would be amazed how much it helps
@SpidermanRun - I was just playing, I like to play in the snow to and the chance of getting stuck makes it more fun! then not being the one that get stuck is good fun when you are ribbing the other guy!
109 degrees f today, so i had to watch your snow wheelin' video to cool down lol hottest sept. 1st in over 100 years in new brunswick, canada. 44C in shade.. about 109!
@mrACEinator lol wish it was here right now... got 4 feet of snow this month... today was -26c with windchill.... 7 degree's f. maybe i should move south haha
@Paulio91184 I welded a thin strip of metal to around the lip of the fender and riveted the belting to it. Keeps me from getting those $195 tickets anyway.
@PowerhouseRoy He built his own three link with coilovers up front. Built an oil pan to convert it to rear sump. Leaf springs in the rear, 5.29 gears with air lockers, marlin crawl box. He runs 39.5 irocks or 38 mtz radials. Check back this winter, he should have his new one with rear steer done.
@Snowbatman99 haha, yea. im gunna need a bit more than conveyer belt flares pretty soon though :P tires are gunna stick out 7" past the body on all sides haha!
damn man sweet vids i went snow wheelin last winter and got my jeep stuck in like 5ft of snow i had to climb out and push her out while my buddy gave it some gas in reverse haha so i give you guys mad props keep the vids coming their sweet!!!
Depending on snow conditions, it can generate a tremendous amount of heat. We have to run extra coolers and being able to keep the torque convertor locked up helps.
Hey thanks for the reply. Your disclaimer is correct and I have seen bfg muds get weak and eventually blow out. 35" was the size. I think certain brands are better and I don't go back up to the max rated on any tire that i have aired down alot. If you inspect the sidewalls you will start to see almost like dryrot.
Hey nice video and rigs. With 38's and that light of a vehicle you should be running 5psi. with no trouble. You would be on top and driving in twice that much snow.
We do have onboard air and run considerably less than 5 psi. You are right there is no limit to how much snow you can drive on TOP of. Hope to get some good vid this spring.
Disclaimer: Running your tires at these low air pressure breaks the sidewall down on the inside where you can not see it! The tire is most likely to blow out when you air it up and add the centrifugal force of hiway speeds. This is hazardous to your life.
nice video, seems like that rig goes well with those baja claws. You sould get a set of chains for the rear and you won't have as much trouble. I noticed at one point your front end was on top of the snow compared to the rear end.
what axels are you running? also, did i read somewhere on one of your vids that you are from walla walla? also how much lift you have?

@Snowbatman99 thats awesome that you are running 30s with 38s. what kind of cutting did you have to do to make them fit with 4 inches of lift?
