  • Thank you so much I have not taken AFFA that is next. I get so many mixed information one says to stretch before one says just to warm up the muscles and stretch at the end. Thanks I needed this information. Your awesome and your warm up was great!

    Yes you are supposed to stretch for a warm-up. If you look at the "Basic Exercise Standards and Guidelines" by AFAA you will see that a warm-up should include: Movement Rehearsal,

    Limbering and,

    Preparatory Static Stretching

    I usually do 1-2 songs of Movement Rehearsal and Limbering and 1 song of Limbering and Preparatory Static Stretching.

  • Thank for that info... I'm also puzzled of the mixed information I receive about stretching during a warm up... I suppose I better follow some guidelines that just "something I heard" :) I appreciate you posting this for us beginners. I love this coreography btw.
