  • i know this is a joke video & it is funny, but how can bartenders get offended from a bad tip when all you did was pour a drink.. being a lifeguard, that attitude kind agitates me, Ive jumped into the water to rescue 12 people, have been to over 50 trainings, get attitude from everybody just for telling them rules or telling them to stop doing things for their safety & so there is less chance of me having to perform first aid or anything else, and I get a thank you maybe once a year. just saying

  • @SC86Canuck oh and I never get a tip...

  • *this

  • thus one actually made me laugh because the patron deserved that!

  • It's fun though I worked at 2 diffrent bars, one where only locals, and they tipt amazing but we cound't keep it we only got like 4 procent of it... but a good salary, then the other bar, there only came tourists, and they didn't tip it all, at a busy night we we were sometimes glad with 17 euro's each it's pretty wired, i think that it depends on the people you've got inside your bar...

  • Great, so now I know that since I'm broke as hell, I shouldn't tip at all. -.- Something's better than nothing dude, piss off.

  • People forget that tipping is simply part of the experience. You are not just paying the bartender to hand you a drink, you are paying for the atmosphere that a good bartender can add to a bar, the conversation, etc. A great bartender can bring in a great crowd, which is the reason you are at that bar to begin with. If you don't want to pay for it, then drink at home and invite over some friends. Also, as a bartender I can tell you I will skip over a crappy tipper for those that do tip.

  • no wonder he gets no tips when he's such an asshole

    good bartender = good tip

    bad bartender = no tip

asshole bartender = I may even try to steal something :D

  • @VartinMana female bartender with big boobs and cleavage = tip is higher than the value of the drink

  • idiot bartenders feel entitled to get tipped. no one HAS to tip you its a privilege. be glad you get anything you fucking uneducated assholes.

  • well this ain't funny. the guy was just trying to be a nice guy and tip you and it's not like it's just 10 cents or anything.

  • @spidermancj ITS A MOTHER FUCKING JOKE!

  • @armpitjuiceprod i know, just sayin'. chill bro.

  • Different societies expect different things, no-one tips in Aus.

  • @Alex28282828 Well, no one expects in Aus. My sister works in a bar and averages ~$150 per friday and saturday.

  • @Alex28282828 is not about tipping, is about "joking" if u want to tip, give a fair tip, not get 15.20€ change a leave the 0.20€, is a joke and it really pisses off any decente bartender

  • What a bitch bartender... Sad how you 'expect' tips....

  • Is a 62 cent tip really so much worse than no tip?

  • @afsdgdfgergerg yes. it's insulting.

  • @origamispatula ok, no tip for you. and gtfo

  • @fox9001 i think you're missing the message here. Prepared to be ignored by most bartenders or have questionable fluids added to your drink. Yes, people still do this. BLOW IT OUT YOUR CUNTISH ASS.

  • @origamispatula lets see how many fucks i give to it:

none. i dont know how you guys do at your place, but here, mostly, the bartenders dont get "tips"... they recive a salary, with all labor rights guaranteed by Law... Yeah, its nice recive more money from tips, but i guess u missing the real point. Keep all that shitty "tips" and see how much will get in a month/year

btw, if u put some "fluids" at my drink, eventually,some1 will do the same to you.. just saying...

  • @fox9001 Your response has adequately displayed that you have no idea what you're talking about, as this video is for AMERICAN TIPPING. Base pay is $4.25 & the rest you must earn independently in tips. This is not a livable income. I've visited countries where base pay is higher. I would like to see the US adopt higher hourly wage or "salary" laws, but change is unlikely. I have not been a waitress for over 3 years now. I did it to support myself through college. No more meme responses please.

  • hope he doesn't do that in Canada, or Japan for that matter.

  • I'd just like to say that it's not common practice in all countries to tip, simply because the wages are usually higher, and/or it's simply not in the culture because workers are just doing their job and don't expect it. Personally I don't think people should be paid more for good service. That said though I would tip reasonably well in countries where it is the norm like the USA because that is the culture.

  • He should have put the "tip" in the idiot's drink and said, "Keep it. Just doing my job ;)"

  • yuuuuup, spitting in you drink is just as much as 26 cents.

  • This doesn't really apply to us in England because our smallest note is £5 (around $10) so we always get tipped with change. Also, there is a thing people say when ordering a drink, "take your own" or "one for yourself" and the bartender takes around 20 pence. I think for one drink a dollar tip is quite large!

  • @middlj14 which is why English people are such shitty tippers

  • @Marlowedickens Yea I suppose, must just be a difference of culture. Do you not think giving somebody $1 just for handing you a bottle of beer is a bit disproportionate though?

  • though there is no particular relevance to this video, i always find myself wondering why people think its alright to mess with the person dealing with your food??? I mean, as a waitress, ive done several things "out back" and find that it is so rewarding to get the douchebags of the world back....oh you want your food wrapped up, suure let me just put it in a box for you *goes in kitchen* OOPS I DROPPED IT ON THE DIRTY FLOOR....oh well

  • @thirdeyeblind1993 What the f*ck? That is low and unprofessional. You don't live out your anger at people, even if they're douchebags. You're there to serve and client is king. No wonder people think waiters and waitresses are lowlifes.

  • The customer should've taken the coins and chucked them at the faggot bartender's ugly face...put a nice little dent in that fucker's skull, or maybe take out an eye. lol

  • @BDizDaBest its a joke...

  • I think what pisses the bartender off is not the amount of the tip but the way the guy gives it to him. "Keep the change ya filthy animal! " :)

  • the standard for tiping is 10-15% or if it's been good service 20% so unless his tab so over 10 bucks for that one drink I think thats a fine tip.

  • @wrestleXrock no you should tip a dollar a drink. if you're ordering food, you do the whole percentage thing, but when it's drinks, the going rate is a dollar. change is patronizing, it's like telling the bartender to hold on to your useless scraps. If you're ever at a busy bar and tip change, don't be surprised if the bartender doesn't even bother to give you more than a glance to remind himself that you're that change guy. At least in America that's how it goes.

  • @CharlieGreenEyez Bullshit. Why does a bartender deserve a dollar for a drink that anyone could make? The cooks in the back are more skilled and make how much in tips every time they open a jar of pickles? (thats how much effort it takes for a bartender to make a drink, opening a jar of pickles).

  • @tsferg first of all, I don't know what kind of classless grog houses you frequent, but at a classy bar, the bartender is as skilled if not more than a cook. i can guarantee that your ignorant ass couldn't make me a good mojito if you sat down, took an hour to read the recipe, then tried making it. aside from your stupidity and obvious losing at life, the common sense side of the argument says that bartenders and servers aren't paid an hourly wage by management, hence the tips. thank you

  • @CharlieGreenEyez There is no bartender in the world as skilled as a skilled cook. They are simply not comparable. How many fat, ugly bartenders are there in trendy spots? None. How many fat, ugly cooks are there at those same spots? Almost all. The biggest prerequisite of being a great bartender is to have a pretty face and a good personality, skill is secondary. People in the food service industry are so self important and delusional. Yes, I can make a good mojito. Real fucking hard.

  • @CharlieGreenEyez Also, looking at your one video that you have made, you are a classless douchebag who frequents classless grog houses.......... Not that there is anything wrong with that.

  • @wrestleXrock Good luck getting served at any bar worth going to in my town. While some bartenders pull crazy shit like this or do it on the sly most just won't serve you unless there is nobody else to serve.

  • Oh no... what an ass... he tipped?? I've liked all the videos up to this one.. I appreciate even the thought of tipping when I'm working.

  • This is my favorite so far!

  • i feel so manly as a bartender when I read this bitching... For fuck sakes I'd be happy for any tip. Unlike America it is not customary to give tips everywhere

  • @kenokaasari most bartenders in America don't even get paid minimum wage, because it's expected that they make enough tips to cover over minimum wage. Idk what it's like in whatever country you're from, but in America bartenders do it 100% for the tips, there's no reason to do it otherwise.... unless of course you consider the guarantee of pussy since most drunk chicks want to fuck the bartender

  • and take that too...that's for you too!

  • hey, you short changed me. two spits... i want dinner with that...

  • I always say, "Nah...you keep it. You obviously need it more than I do. Have a nice time!"

  • If I was the bartender I'd drink it up like the drink was mine :D

  • @t0x1cliverpool at my bar.....I'd get fired for drinking on the Job.....

  • @one5643 and that's why we underpour drinks, and drink the extra ;)

  • In Spain, that screwed me several times with the coin denominations....here's what i thought was a euro or 2 in quarters when drunk, turns out i tipped her like 200% lol

  • Reading these comments is hilarious. NOBODY tips bartenders in the UK.

  • tips should fold, not jingle

  • @tajie84 You make drinks that take 10 seconds to make. Why should you be making $300 in tips in a night? You are just a bartender, it's really nothing special what you do. A 16 year old kid could do it, and do it easily.

  • @tajie84 Not in Canada!

  • @Acidrain77 was about to say the same thing.

  • Any Americans been to the UK and see a bartender light up when you tip them? It just doesn't happen much over here :P

  • I dunno, he gave back a bill and coins - in Canada there aren't bills worth less than 5 bucks anymore (we stopped printing $2 bills) so... I'm not about to leave a $5 tip. If you don't want quarters, give me something I can leave!

  • lol, that would've been more legit if it were a black guy.... just sayin

  • hahahahahah this is amaaazzinngg

  • I worked at a place that had a fountain just outside the side door to the bar and every time someone left us change we would say "make a wish!" open the side door and throw it in the fountain. I would much rather do what he did but I don't think I would keep my job for long.

  • dammit i hate shitty tippers just stay home if your gonna be cheap

  • Отличный ход!

    Бармену +++

  • In Russia, for such behavior, the bartender would immediately beat. Very painful and funny rhymes.

  • Не пизди, нихуя ему не было бы.

  • I tell people I'm not a laundry mat, while refusing the tip and service throughout the night. They can go somewhere else with that crap. I've had people argue with me that money is money. Asking them if they receive their paycheck in rolled coins usually shuts them up.

  • if I make 15% tips compared to my till that's around average. But then again, I work at a dive in the sticks.

  • the bartenders job is to give the drink ppl tell u to give, and take themoney they give to u for doing ur job. and shut up.

  • @NaveedCheema please do not come to talk with us when your girlfriend leaves you or when your looovely son doesnt pass his final exams, do not ask us for ten bucks for cigarettes, do not ask us if you can pay for the drinks when you get paid at work, do not ask us to play that fucking horrible song again or to turn up the telly.

    THANKS.

    (excuse my english)

  • @NaveedCheema oh please come to my bar.... I would love to personally throw flat on your face for being an uptight wanker, which we are well within our rights to do in NZ.

  • @NaveedCheema You wanna be stingy stay home and drink McCormick s. Keep in mind you are bidding against every other customer for your bartenders valuable time. Tossing change at me or my bar will get you ignored until I have nothing else to do.

  • @NaveedCheema Please come to my bar and let's see how well this works out. twat.

  • i tip one dollar a drink, which is very decent so if someone leaves change for an overpriced drink, the bartender should just take it or leave it

  • i waited on a huge party one time at the bar i used to work at. around 15 people constantly ordering drinks and shots. The guy who opened the tab wanted everyones drinks on his tab. he commented about 2 hours into it how great and fast i was at delivering drinks and remembering large orders! when he closed his tab 4 hours later, it was $670. he was my only tab, and my shift was ending so I depended upon his tip.

he gave me 60 dollars, and I had to give 10% to the bar.

  • nah i just say 'i think you need it more than i do'

  • nah i just say 'i think you need it more than i do'

  • I used to cocktail waitress at a bar that had penny pitcher night. Guys would give me a nickel and tell me to keep the change. My response was usually one of the following...

"Gee thanks, now mom can get that operation"

"Yay! Now I can pay off my student loans"

  • @ man1d2tran just because oprah said it's okay to cut back your tips to 15, or even 10 percent, doesn't mean it's right. i've been tending bar for 5 years, and if everyone felt the same way YOU did, then i'd be homeless or sitting behind a desk hating my life and contemplating suicide like all the paper pushers in the world. so if you don't know what you're talking about, i suggest YOU try bartending, or better yet, waitressing. SEE how many times some dick sends you back for extra this & that.

  • HAHAHAHA!

  • Change is not a tip, it's an insult! If you can't afford the tip, then stay home!

  • Change is not a tip, it's an insult!

  • Step behind a bar you tards, and try to deal with the idiots and egos we have to put up with... You cubicle jockeys!!

  • cmon this series should be called "a bartender behaves like a dickhead" insted

  • @eseks this video shows real customer situations, and the way the bartender reacts is how ALL actual bartenders would LIKE to react

  • @clearyoeyez311

    Really?

I have watched all 19 episodes and I didn't know that. Thank you. Seriously, thank you very much.

  • @clearyoeyez311 So deep inside, all bartenders are assholes?

  • Wow what an ass. With this economy wtf are you treating customers this way. Bartender deserved no tip. He was being kind enough to give something. Should have poured the drink all over the bar and walked out. If he was a girl I'd encourage the customer to throw the drink at the bartender and then smash the glass into where the bartender has to clean that up. His behavior is uncalled for. Tips are not mandatory so don't think it is and don't act like you're entitled.Because you rly dont deserv it

  • @man1d2tran i hope u kno this is fake

  • @phenomenalclassic93 The videos are fake, but the situations are real.

  • @man1d2tran youre OBVIOUSLY an amateur!

  • I have worked in the service industry for 15 years,It is not a myth, I have seen people do FAR WORSE things than just spitting actually! Its common sense, do not treat people that handle your food and drinks rudely, they will get revenge!

  • Yep...I always toss it back and say You must need this more than me. And for the ones who do it that and order mixed drinks...just so you know, I short shot the hell out of you. As a matter of fact, I can make you three drinks and only use one shot ;) Keep being a cheap ass...I'll get your money for the register.

  • If the money doesn't fold in half it's not allowed on the bar.

  • Jak by w Polsce tak zrobił to by go zatłukli :D

  • OMFG!!! I'm rolling on the ground laughing right now. Fucking cheap asses tipping in quarters. BULLSHIT. I wanna spit in their drink too.

  • @MaroonCamaro I still can't believe how people think tipping 25 or 50 cents is a tip. I've met some customers who think that giving you 50 cents is the world and then they want the VIP service I give customers who give me $10 a round for drinks. To those cheap asses, I say "FUCK YOU"!!!

  • is tipping in america standard or something?

  • @LegendaryLvl1 uh....yeah.

its more or less common courtesy.

its either that...or come back to spit in your drink/food.

  • @YoshikazeCanti That is total bullshit. I've been bartending for 10+ years and working in the food / beverage industry for 15+ and I have NEVER seen someone spit in food. I might make you wait or not take as much time and effort into you as you want, but I won't poison you or be crass. That's unprofessional and it's an urban myth.

  • @Lovaelihn ah!

jeez okay okay...Its just the thing that's usually kept people in line over the years...

its just one of those things were told when we're younger so we behave.

    sorry....

  • @YoshikazeCanti I didn't mean to come across more harsh than I intended. I just wanted to be very sure on my point. Heheh... I just hate it when people use that line of thinking to make servers and bartenders out to be the bad guys, ya know? So, no offense. )

  • @LegendaryLvl1 knowing first hand, many people working bars/restaurants/hospitality industry tend to make minimum wages, as their main income is tips. so yes, tipping is both standard/courtesy.

  • @LegendaryLvl1 Yes. We are paid a lower hourly wage so that the customer can decide how well they were treated. It's incentive for both parties to treat each other well. I know it should be common place but when was the last time you went to a fast food place and got the kind of service a good bartender gave you? :) Either way, good bartenders/servers can make VERY good money if they are attentive, polite and efficient. ( been doin this for 10+ years )

  • "if that's all you can afford to leave you need it more than me"

  • just make sure his friends hear you say: No Sir I insist....You Keep it.

Apparently you need it more than me.

  • i left someones change on the bar once for the whole shift and never took it.. he and everyone with him just sat there and looked at his change.. while everyone else had dollars stacked up..

having told that story.. there were a couple of months last year where i payed my car note in nothing but quarters.. lol!!

  • AHAHAHAHA!

  • hm in our country we have beer for like 1,2 bucks, but in our currency, so its basically a 0,15 cents tip. There are people who doesnt give any tips. So when i was in US i didnt knew how much. So i thought for food it was 15-20% of price, for drinks i make it for the full dollar or ten.

  • man if jingles its fucking worth something. have you made soo much money in bar tending or waiting that you have become too good for quarters?

  • roflmao

  • Live in ireland, coin tips are totally fine here. Mainly because the smallest note is €5. What's the general rule in the states for tipping? A $ a drink or what?

  • @Fubs It all depends on the drink and the volume. Yah... you have one rum and coke? 1 dollar is fine. You have 4 bottled beers, 2 is fine cuz it didn't exactly take that much time to pop 4 tops. It all depends, ya know? Heck.. even for one bottled beer, if it's 2.25, and you tip me the .75, I'm fine with that. However you run an eighty dollar tab and tip me 5? You wait on drinks next time I see ya. ;)

  • Haha, cool. I'll figure it out I'm sure. Plus I'm irish, no once can dislike me for long haha

  • tip this.... ;)

  • The smallest note in pounds and euros is £5, which is about $7.50 i think. So tipping over here with coins isn't a big deal.

  • Leaving coinage is like putting a big sign over your head that says:

"Look at me, I have zero class"

  • If you tip in change, you might as well have said "Fuck You!"

  • @justmenosurprises; from what I understand of your (U.S) tipping system, you have to tip regardless of the quality of service - so a jingle might be a well earnt or correctly poorly earned "fuck you". Sometimes I've had service so bad I've wanted to say just that. Is that right - or does the jingle simply suggest you're cheap? Cheers btw

  • @barkip99 Bro, at my bar I pay Juniors $20 and seniors $28. Don't get fuck'n lippy with me. I expect high service from my staff and they still get tipped in a none tip country (much to our disatisfaction). I'm commenting on the differences between our systems - fuck you. If I visit your country I'll follow protocol especially as U.S hourly rates are so shit. Over here - shit service no tip, good service good tip; makes sense to me.

  • Comment removed

  • @barkip99 Shame your experience has tainted our rep. Kiwis aren't used to tipping, I see it as a good thing. $3 for $100 is bad I agree. What would be the norm in that case?

  • Comment removed

  • @sireamon22 For most american restaurants 16% is average. 25% is good, and upwards from there. For a bartender there is a large difference. It has to do with the time and difficulty. For example, if you ask me for 4 beers and all I have to do is pop four tops and collect, I'm not gonna hate you for leaving me 1 or 2 bucks. However, if you ask for 4 Irish car bombs ( a 3 part, 2 glass, drop and pop - huge mess - shot ) and leave me 2 dollars, I will ignore you for quite a while.

  • @sireamon22 I agree totally... as a bartender here in the U.S. for over 10+ years, shitty service should always be taken out of the tip to the point of nothing. However, good service should be rewarded because our system here puts the power of how much I make into the hands of the customer, not the employer. Would you rather pay double so I make double my hourly wage or get to choose how much my drink and service were worth? :)

  • I have worked as a bartender for many years... these videos are amazing... all real things we deal with on a daily basis. and YES this is secretly what we all want to do.

  • i dont get this one ;) man kindly gives some change for this bum bartender, cuz if he would be rich he wouldnt work at all like me :D fail!

  • If you work as a bartender you really i mean really dont want coin tips for real

  • if it jingles its NOT a fuckin tip!

  • @jvee617 Amen to that!

  • @jvee617 thanks god with don't tip in my country.

  • hahaha !!!!! i have to try do this hehehe

  • I love it

  • ...as they're walking away, loudly: "DO YOU NEED CHANGE FOR THIS QUARTER SIR? SIR!?!"

  • @reverendgaddy

HOLY SHIT!!! I'M SO GONNA USE THAT LOL

  • 7 an hour!? you lucky sod!!

  • @ Kileak24 they should tip as we may 7.00 and hour behind the bar!! DUH!

  • fucking great

  • hmmmmm methinks i should try this next time some cheeky bastard leaves me 5p and expect me to be overjoyed with it.......

  • Haha! You're someones whore!

  • wanker.

  • Wha are you a complete d-bag?! Seriously if you can't tip DON'T GO OUT!!!

  • ....you're adopted. and apparently your surrogate parents did a shitty job of raising you.

go have fun at your "real job", and know that we can smell people like you coming up to the bar, and you usually get shitty service. enjoy.

  • lolumad

  • /feedtroll

go back to /2 and wank it to some spacegoats

  • lolzurealmadnow?

  • haha!!!
