Did you hear about the guy that got arrested because he collected too many stamps and the other guy that was arrested because the amount of coins that he had. They said that he had coins in his pockets, in jars, in his night stand, in safes and he even had some coins suspiciously buried in his back yard. Don't stop with gun collectors. Some people collect snow globes. I don't think the man in New Jersey commited a crime. If it is illegal in New Jersey, I think that they are the only state.

the man owned 20 pistols, two shotguns, 3 deer rifles, and 2 assault style rifles. Weapons of war? Without a class 3, they were all semiauto. Why were not the officials more specific in their press briefing? What did this man do to not be able to own a firearm? Was he a felon? Some northern states have strict gun ownwership laws. I live in the south so maybe thats why im ranting. I know guys who have more guns than this guy. Since when are pistols, shotguns and deer rifles now 'weapons of war'?

Multiple purchases suspect? So as a collector i'm suspect if i go to a gun show and happen to find three or four deals in a day and have the cash to make the purchases and pass a BG check. Give me a break. I wonder how much race and location played a part in this. The ATF knows of many survivalist groups who between the members, own many weapons and lots more ammo. Perhaps because they live in less densely populated parts of the country is why they don't get bothered. Maybe they do. who knows.

This is why We The People, as responsible gun owners, need to approach our local Sheriffs and ask them if they understand the 2nd Amendment (which they have sworn an oath to protect and uphold). Once a good relationship exists we need to let them know that we will not participate in ANY violation of our God given rights. That would include confiscation of our weapons (from law-abiding citizens).
