@dust8320 Honey died when a vet hit her with a tranqualizer dart in the wrong place to fix up her leg because it was messed up and he missed the wrong spot and she died, leaving behind her three male cubs.
on this video Honey still 4 cubs, 1 night by lion attack...and 1 of her cubs die...overall honey gave birth 4 cubs 3 male cheetah cub and 1 female... the sad story is the only female cubs dies at lion attack...pls watch bbc uploaded by barbican08... for more complete details...
that's why honey 3 male cheetah cubs only survive at masai mara plains...until now
unfortunately there is no BBC to covered that rediculous incident she die cos of vet tranquilizers dart incident because on of her cub is injured they need to dart the mother cheetah (honey) to give first aide medicine for the injured cubs sadly the trranqulizer got the wrong place instead of the muscle honey dart in the stomach near her kidney and surgery is the last option and honey die this incident is very sad hope this tragedy can never happen again not for cheetah family...sad....
We've all been on the evolutionary tree together ( however, man, a creature able to have ideas and bring those ideas into fruition, is at the apex ) but that doesn't give animals, " rights ", in the true sense. We are obligated not to abuse animals as we have dominion over them. They are animals an we are human regardless of names. What I object to is the animal rights crowd imposing their philosophy on us in the many ways they do. Hunting, fishing, pet ownership and the like.
I wonder if the cheeta knows it's name is, " Honey " ? It's the animal rights crowd's ploy to name animals so that we think of them as, " people ". The Animal Planet channel states in a recent add, " Animals are people too ! ". Animal;s are animals and people are people. Fact of life. They are cute and we love them, but they are not us. We should treat them well but they do not have, " rights ". The majority of people have always thought this way. Don't let a minority dictate to you !
They've been on this earth far longer than the other animals you speak of, "people". Surely that must entitle them to some rights. Nothing as a name by the way, until it's assigned one. Even a person, is not a person until the word person came about, and then later the concept of assigning names. It's all fiction so why not approach the cheetahs as a beautiful part of that fictional dream.
@12hc13hb14ha It was Simon King the presenter and camera man of Big Cat Week-d-L who called this cheetah Honey. He told the audience in Big Cat Live 2008 that the reason of this name was because the fur was a rich honey coulour. That's the explanation.
I don't know Simon King or his affiliations, but, if he works for Big Cat, he most likely has ties to PETA or ASPCA or the Humaine Society and, despite some of the good work that they, on occasion, may do, they are animal rights people.
My point, in part, is that giving a name to an animal, gives personification to it. One thing to call your kitty, Fluffy, but the idea for the rights crowd, is to equate them with humans and then push for things like outlawing hunting and restricting land.
A little late, but this is retarded, animals each have individual personalities, anyone has had a pet or spent time around individual animals know this.
Thanks.

There is no apex of evolution, humans are not the end all be all animal, nor do we have dominion over other animals.
Humans have no rights but the ones that the societal social contracts we have developed give us.
