Has any of you, that say that Svensson is not good, considered the quality of the drums he is using?? I know that a good musician does not need the best instrument to show that he is good, but in this case I am pretty sure that with better quality drums or audio recording the sound will be much better and most of you would reconsider your comment. Personally, I think that he is a good drummer with a nice technique.

Everybody trashing Daniel Needs to chill.  Obviously he's not as good as George Kollias or someone of that skill level, but he doesn't need to be that good. Even if he could play that well, it would not fit well with In Flames music style. His drum parts for EVERY song are perfect in my opinion. He doesn't show off, because its not about him, it's about In Flames creating the best music possible. I think he is the best possible drummer In Flames could have.

ok music, by definition, is organised sound. This song has a stucture to it, it has a planned out rhythm, it has melody and harmony, which all fit together, and obviously it's sound so therefore leaving it as organised sound, hence making it music, the way the lyrics are screamed/sung is just an expresive technique which the vocalist hs chosen.

yeah, like the drummer from Norther, in an interview he said that he prefers a double-kick pedal as opposed to two seperate kicks. Maybe for transportation (one less bass drum), but I like double-kicks because of the slight delay/tightness on the left pedal, which you cant avoid, but i like it for some reason, makes me play harder :)

@j0gan673 , there can be many reasons. some people have two different sized bass drums. often times, they do it for looks, because the bass drum came with the kit, and it is useful for mounting toms, etc., but they like the feel of doubles better. it's all personal preference. i prefer to have my slave pedal RIGHT next to the hat pedal, so i'd use the double any day. the sound is also a tad different.
