this is truly amazing. Suicide, Bruce Springsteen and now you. TOy show the world that the most important thing in music is feeling. Not craftmanship or fancy tricks. Feelings!
easy to play: G - C - D just bang down on the bass strings with palm muting - almost all down strokes (ya just got feel your way through it). I added the effects using Apple's Garageband to both the vocals and the guitar: reverb, chorus, echo, flanger (very light on the echo and flanger
This is fuckin outstandin dude. I loved what the Boss did to the original Suicide (Suicide being perhaps my all time favorite band) and I loved what you did to augment the Boss's version.
I have seen Bruce performing this song live and it was just amazing! I was hypnotized and totally blown away by the performance. Anyway, you do a very nice job here!
The FX on this are perfect. Never thought I would say that either because I usually don't like FX at all but you really used the FX to good effect here! % from me....

This is amazing Bill! You blow me away on every video on post, always bringing up something new! The vocals effects are right on Bill! Really impressive. It's really good to see you back on the guitar again! Wonderful job my friend!
I absolutely love this song... one of Bruce's most incredible creations, and this is a nice take on his (as w/ Trapped and QT3) latest theft of someone else's song, where he blows the original out of the water. Very nice job you've done here. The effect is just enough -- you could've overdone it, but you didn't. Cool stuff.
Thanks guys - it's all in the effects LOL... (added on with GarageBand) I did Beautiful Reward and Tougher than the Rest too but for some reason after 24 hours YouTube crapped out and I'll have to start over with the uploads. oh well... Oh... Marc - I did Pink Houses too this weekend - I'll get them uploaded soon.
Antonio - I sorta did this 'cause you encouraged me to do it (you left a comment on the little snippet I did at the end of my Born to Run) Anyway my friend it's good to see you playing again too! - Bill
hiya Marc - I played it through my acoustic amp with reverb and chorus - then added even more reverb and chorus with GarageBand and topped it with a little echo and even some flanger LOL.. the whole bag of tricks

Great job..
I love your interpretation of this song.
This might be what it would have sounded like had Bruce Springsteen did a version of this during the Nebraska sessions..
-thumbsup-

Nicely done - but it's not Bruce it's a Suicide / Alan Vega song

It's so different from Suicide's version that it's essentially an original.

Springsteen has stated he is a fan of Suicide's music. You can hear their influence in Springsteen's "State Trooper".

Bill, this is incredibly beautiful! Excellent choice, the perfect song for your romantic voice!!!
Love the sound, too. Did you add a little chorus to the reverb??? Anyway, sounds so beautiful!

Long time no post, Bill! Nice to have you back.
Is that a new set of pedals? I think I hear Digital Delay, Chorus, and just maybe a touch of CryBaby Wah-Wah..
(Or else you're exploring GarageBand's effects)
