  • 2:48 - when Paul flubs the words, leaving out "grabbed my coat and grabbed my hat" He smiles and laughs...

  • I've been to hundreds of live shows and I will never get as high as I was that night. It was McCartney in a needle.

  • so cool paul did a john tribute! it was an amzing show

  • Seeing this live totally changed my life forever.

  • i saw him july 21 too at citi field

  • Went to see Neil Young last summer. Young finished his set with this. Love the video to this tracks aswell. Mental.

  • greatest song ever

  • going to t\citi field july 21

  • Possibly the best Beatles song. And that's saying something.

  • Going to citi feild july 17th

  • Lucky bastard.

  • just not the same without john. :(

  • Of course it isnt .., but that doesnt mean Paul shouldnt do it... its part his song too .., and if other artists cover it why shouldnt he? It actually took a lot of guts for him to do this knowing the criticism he would generate.

  • jako is dead? thanx god our kids are safe lmao.a day in a life is one of my favorite beatles song(top 10)

  • he made that EXACT same mistake at the liverpool show he did....i guess when u get really into it like he does its easy to repeat something like that. It's ok tho cuz he wrote those lyrics and he can do whatever the hell he wants in my books...i still love the guy

  • Yeah, John was the worst with forgetting lyrics. Fortunately for them, while occasionally forgetful, they comprised the greatest band (act, group) ever to walk.

  • It*s funny. He sings it often and forget the words???? Hm...it*s strange.

  • @katrin2801 well musicians till this day forget their lyrics. i guess even Legends make mistakes to. thats what makes us all human. :)

  • 2.49 best I've ever seen in my life..that's my Paulie..he can laugh at himself...go Paulie go!

  • 2:50 Paul has to make a face, 'cause he forgot the line "grabbed my coat & grabbed my hat" instead says "made the bus in seconds flat" twice !"

  • he wrote the line so he's allowed to mess up the line :)

  • actually this one is by john lennon

  • You're wrong - Paul wrote the middle section, John the rest. They basically took two distinct songs and joined them.

  • this is so funny, he mad e the exact same mistake at anfeld a year ago! i was there and it was just like this!

  • gaaaaaah i lololove him.... <3<3

    GREAT VID!

  • b&w video grabs me..nice job..

  • It was SO great

  • most epic show of my life

  • Great stuff-Paul is having one hell of a comeback

This show demands a film and album!

  • COMEBACK?!?!?!?!?!? where did he go???

  • Where did he go?

  • best show ever!! he did like 3 encores! legendary..

  • he always forgets the lyrics of his part in a day in the life.

  • This is a nice tribute to John! and for those who don't understand, Paul is singing a song from his old band he worked and wrote on (A day in the life) so he has every right.

  • DUH!!!

  • DUH!!!

  • very orig.

  • Very original.

    Why thank you mister!

  • thanks mate- well shot. missed this song at coachella

  • i fucken exploted when this song started

    best show ever

  • Exploited? By singing some songs written by his childhood friends? To what end? does he need to be more famous? Does he need more money? It couldn't possibly be because he's paying tribute to lost friends. I guess YOU know John Lennon and Harrison better than McCartney does from reading all those interviews.

  • It was unbelievable. Every song he sang, he was a writer on - except "Something", which he did on the Uke that George gave him - as a tribute to George. I didn't have a video camera. Thank you for posting, I was hoping someone would.

  • Ya no kidding. Why would he play a song that was written and sung by anyone else but himself?

  • Dont angry.

This song was eritten my Paul and Lennon. Why he have to get permission to sing it?

  • That's not a ukelele -_-. It's a Hofner 500 bass

  • Olivia has given her blessings. As for Give Peace a Chance, Paul didn't need to get anyone's permission as it is listed as Lennon/McCartney. Paul has done this as a tribute to John several times since he first did it around, I think, 1993 when he performed it in Liverpool with Help and Strawberry Fields.

  • That's music, Mr. Paul... That's Music!.

  • Wish I could've been there

  • Best thing at Coachella ever

  • I wonder how many hundreds of songs that Paul has actually written in his lifetime? It's ok for him to confuse the lyrics now & then... Keeps us alert!!! LOL!!!

I love RINGO, but, when I see him in concert with the ALL STARR BAND, I feel bad for him, as he just doesn't have quite as many songs to choose from to sing in the show, as Sir Paul does...

  • Looks like a fucking great set from Paul. Why oh why didn't the full gig get streamed.

  • Seriously. I was pissed off when it ended after Here Today. An hour later it came back on, then a few minutes later it cut off again

  • I know!!! I was about to leave when I hear a voice then 2 seconds later the image. Than about a minute later....PUFF! black screen again.

  • Even though Paul forgot the line: "FOUND MY COAT & GRABBED MY HAT"....

He sang: "Found the bus in seconds flat...

Made the bus in seconds flat..."

That is totally OK, because I LOVE YOU, YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

I wish I could have been there, at Coachella!

Paul's US concert at Staples Center in 2005, was the best concert that I have ever been to "IN MY LIFE".

We had WAY better seats than Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell. We watched Kurt rock out to Helter Skelter, through our binoclars.

  • hmm, Paul made this same mistake of forgetting the EXACT lyrics when he performed this song at Liverpool Live 8 in '08 or something

I wonder why he keeps making this mistake..

maybe he's doing it on purpose?

  • What mistake did he do? Tell please if you can.

  • the official lyrics are "Found my coat, grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat"

but in this video (a other live concerts he did) Paul keeps forgetting the lyrics and says "Found the bus in seconds flat, found the bus in seconds flat"

  • @ltxsmash Proably because he's not used to singing that part, since John always sang that part(:

  • @rainbowgloomy

did you JUST tell me that John Lennon sang the middle, uplifting piano section in A Day in the Life specifically the lyrics "Found my coat . . . ???

i love it when people correct me with wrong facts :-)

Paul McCartney sings the middle section piano tune for this song, not only does the voice sound like Paul, he's mentioned in countless interviews that John told him to sing the middle part of this song

Paul wrote this section, it's his music, words, and voice

    Please check info

  • @ltxsmash yea you tell him

  • that's ironic since that's part of the song he contributed. In the Life was two songs...part Lennon part Paul. the smoking , hat and bus part was Paul....

  • @Itxsmash Okay chill, sorry I made a mistake I flipped them around you don't have to get all bitchy. &

    @lisasboogies You're right.

  • I was there - front and center - and must agree. In my forty some years of going to concerts and festivals this was the best.

  • I LOVE YOU PAUL!!!

(Ever since I saw you on the Ed Sullivan show when I was 6 years old!!! LOL!!!)

    YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

  • Best live performance I have ever seen. The tributes to Linda, John and George were amazing. 4 Band on the Run songs! So awesome.

  • FRONT ROW(ON THE RAIL!!!)

  • dude not lying I SWEAR BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!

  • shivers down me spine....

  • Good that he is doing this song - this is the real tribute to John. Funny (he did this in LIverpool) that he bungles the words that he wrote - middle section.

  • I'm glad you have that outlook. Too many people villainize Paul and say he's trying to steal John's glory as he did all his life. The story of the Beatles is far less black-and-white than that.

  • very good concert i was there!! me and my cousins and mom cried almost the entire time! and i screamed so much i lost my voice completely

  • we were there literally since the doors opened. we ran to the main stage, waited in the fucking heat, and we were front row through courteneers, we are scientists, airborne toxic event, black keys, franz, morrisey and finally paul. it was worth it. my friends are the hugest Paul fans ever, im soo glad we saw him.

  • great video. One of my favorite Beatles songs. Thanks for recording it for all of us.

  • Very emotional moment. We (my son and I) were there, 15 meters away from Paul! April 17, 2009... a date to remember...

  • I was there!!

  • paul is the best. living legend

  • THE best day of my life!!!!

    I WAS IN THE FRONT!!!

  • Are you talking to me?

  • sir. fckng paul...

  • Shut up!

  • Why "fucking Paul?" Didnt you like him? But the song is great. I always judge by songs, not by people.

  • viva lennon! es la ley

  • That was cool...when Paul added his "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah's" to Give Peace A Chance, it gave me an idea how it would have been if Wings had played on John Lennon's Give Peace A Chance. That was a neat little insight into what couldve been. Thanks!

  • Thx for this video!!!!!

    Love "Give Peace A Chance".

RIP John -- we love you!

  • thanks for posting these videos... it must had been the best concert ever!

  • im so short i was block by people but is was great

  • Envy all of you who got to go AND be in the front! Bet it was the time of your life!

  • Whoa you were really up front! Lucky!

  • I was there!

    It was really great!!!!!

I felt like if it was a dream, and I haven't woke up!

  • The AT+T video feed was cut 45 min into the show. I shouldn't see this otherwise thx for sharing.

  • yes thank you for posting this!! my phone died and i couldnt get nothing (i did get a sound recording of Jet before it died) im so glad these are posted! what a fun, fantastic, awesome show! THE Paul McCartney, amazing

  • This was an amazing show!

  • Thanks for posting these.

LOL Paul always gets John's part of A Day In The Life right, then messes the words up on his own bit.

    Looks like a great show!

  • ta for this.
