After watching this, one can only come to the conclusion that true socialism was never achieved. An authoritarian one party system came into being not because of socialism, or communism, but because of the paranoia of Lenin and his Bolshevik followers. Personally I enjoyed how in the beginning there were Soviets with multiple parties. Direct Democracy in action! Unfortunately, the aspirations of a paranoid man destroyed what was the greatest attempt at social change in history.
I still . . .I find it sad. All those soldiers wanted was a real Republic/Democracy, and power hungry bitch Lenin refused and acted as a Dictator. He acted worse than that Czar that Russia had in power.

Kruschev didn't bury us ( the USA ).Unfortunately power corrupts and the Communist party leaders were as brutal, if not more brutal, than the Tzar.

They starved millions in the 1920s, and even communist estimates put the number killed overall at 20 million (and it was no doubt far higher), Add to this the 60-80 million killed by Mao and how the Khmer Rouge exterminated one-third of Cambodia's population, and you have a pretty clear picture of communism.
