People, I just don't know how to put it but the whole story line of this magnificent game didn't came from fantasy alone - almost 70%of it, no, 90+% of it actually came from reality as we know it, sorry to disappoint you. The game creator, however, just added some spice which made it seem to have come from imagination. Parallel worlds, reptites, man vs reptites, gods vs reptites, magic - name it, EVERYTHING the game is a part of our reality, do some research :)

To be fair, they've done a hell of a good job with all the Dragon Quest stuff. Final Fantasy has fallen on hard times sure, but let's not belittle DQ and how well it has done. Re-releasing DQ 4-6 for North American audiences that maybe never got to play them, DQ9 was a huge success as well.
I got Skyrim the other day..then I went to PS store and found chrono cross.wanna Know what happened next ? I abandoned skyrim for this game...How I wish for a complete HD remake ..Leave everything the way it is...just buff the graphics and add epic sidequests ,impossibly strong monsters and add more and more islands to explore..I just want the new gamers of this generation to know this game..most of them wont play it because of the graphics.It is perfectly fine as it is for us chrono crossers

Chrono Cross, in my opinion is been one of the best games ever made. It had everything. Even in todays RPGs, stuff just doesn't seem to be there. CC impacted my life so much that I still play this game, and will for a while. There needs to be another one, even though they pretty much ended the story. Thank you to everyone that played a part in making this game.
It's ashame that this game was never released inEurope,Australia & New Zealand :( But I heard rumours that North america PSOne classics will be imported to the europe PSN store,So hopefully Chrono Cross will be imported sometime soon :)
I am writing a story at the moment, and music is a big part of what gets my brain going for new ideas or how the characters will develop. The emotion of the music, deep and intense, flows through my veins and arteries as I think. This track, is one of the most influential I have found.

Look at Radiant Historia for the nintendo DS, PHENOMINAL game, and don't doubt this because it is for the DS, just listen to the soundtrack, and the gameplay is solid, emotional, and involves time travel. It is constantly being debated if the game is BETTER, than CT.

I'm finishing this game for the third time in my PSP, It's the best game that I have played in all my life, in my opinion there's no game in the world to compare with Chrono Cross.
You know they REALLY need to make another Chrono game just to tie up all the loose ends. And personally I like both CT and CC, they both are two of the greatest games out there.
For example, Gears of War 2 sucks ass. Why? The graphics are too good for the animation, and all the art is confusing and too detailed for its own good. The story is terrible, and the dialogue sounds overdone and forced. The controls are terrible as well. Black Ops is one of the most worshiped games out there. Sure, the multiplayer is insane, but what about the real game? The story sounds like a 10 year old wrote it, dialogue is overdone, and the story mode isn't even fun.

@rinofang I think it's the eastern sounds, to be honest. For example, listen to "Reunion" from the Uncharted 2 soundtrack. I tried getting into some of their work, but it just doesn't work as well as it does with these composers. I guess to each their own.

Chrono Cross, in my opinion is been one of the best games ever made. It had everything. Even in todays RPGs, stuff just doesn't seem to be there. CC impacted my life so much that I still play this game, and will for a while. There needs to be another one, even though they pretty much ended the story. Thank you to everyone that played a part in making this game.

It's ashame that this game was never released inEurope,Australia & New Zealand :( But I heard rumours that North america PSOne classics will be imported to the europe PSN store,So hopefully Chrono Cross will be imported sometime soon :)

I am writing a story at the moment, and music is a big part of what gets my brain going for new ideas or how the characters will develop. The emotion of the music, deep and intense, flows through my veins and arteries as I think. This track, is one of the most influential I have found.

For everyone here looking for a game with energy like this that is modern, (2010)
Look at Radiant Historia for the nintendo DS, PHENOMINAL game, and don't doubt this because it is for the DS, just listen to the soundtrack, and the gameplay is solid, emotional, and involves time travel. It is constantly being debated if the game is BETTER, than CT.
Please take a look guys. This game will blow you away.

You just.. don't get the same feeling out of games anymore. Games like CC made me want to live more of a fantasy than real life. Game creators tried to make something special, something unique. You don't get those feelings out of games anymore. Games like CC ARE the best games. that won't change.

For example, Gears of War 2 sucks ass. Why? The graphics are too good for the animation, and all the art is confusing and too detailed for its own good. The story is terrible, and the dialogue sounds overdone and forced. The controls are terrible as well. Black Ops is one of the most worshiped games out there. Sure, the multiplayer is insane, but what about the real game? The story sounds like a 10 year old wrote it, dialogue is overdone, and the story mode isn't even fun.

I've never played Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross, and my first experience with Final Fantasy was two months ago, when I managed to get my mitts on FFX. I wear no nostalgia glasses. Games nowadays are all about graphics and multiplayer. But while graphics may be good enough for realistic expressions, I don't know anybody skilled enough to animate well enough to match the quality.

Stop adoring Japanese culture... You look like idiots, i'm not against Japanese Culture or Music, even my favorite composers are Yasunori Mitsuda, Akira Yamaoka and Yoko Shinomura. But there are LOTS of good composers that are NOT japanese: Russel Shaw (Fable) and Hans Zimmer (Inception)... Geez, every country has it's shitty music, even japan with these powerful composers is full of shitty J-Pop Boy Bands and Hannah Montana equivalents.

@rinofang Yeah, they are all great. I just prefer songs that touch you emotionally...songs that leave a lasting impression on you. Japanese composers always seem to do that for me. Composers elsewhere seem to have really upbeat songs, but they're not for me.

@rinofang I think it's the eastern sounds, to be honest. For example, listen to "Reunion" from the Uncharted 2 soundtrack. I tried getting into some of their work, but it just doesn't work as well as it does with these composers. I guess to each their own.
