  • Not only do I love the atmosphere of those orignial old stuff, but the information, that you posted underneath - thanks for this!

  • I did know he was Clarence Williams III's grandfather.

  • @lynekab my comment should have said "I did not know he was Clarence Williams III's grandfather". The elder Williams died in 1965, so he did get a chance to see his grandson's budding career and the changing attitudes toward Blacks. I wish Williams III would do something on his grandfather whether a film or book. He can provide information that others may not know about or this history could be forever lost.

  • 1931? I'll be dipped

  • This is why I like being called Clarence Williams

  • Fantastic!

  • You asked my wife to wash your clothes, you rascal, you.

You asked my wife to wash your clothes

    And something else I suppose!

    .. hihihi

    How passionate!!

  • This song is great. It's dark and mean but kinda cynical and hilarious. Good stuff!

  • the bugs are gonna have you!

oh dear, grinning here woth my headset!

  • The only disappointment - he never takes a piano solo; I was expecting him to wail at least for one chorus!

  • This is great! I've never heard Clarence Williams sing before!

The lyrics get wackier and wackier (whackier?), and when they culminate in "I'm gonna kill you just for fun" seem flat-out bizarre, UNTIL he winds up with the last line about someone messing with his wife. It's possible that someone DID, and he got mad, wrote this tune, and recorded it. Certainly, he had the clout to do so. Makes sense!

  • Damn 0_o

his Head is Loong As Fuck

    LMAO X-D

  • nice fuuny tune i loove it

  • does someone know the chords for this tune? merci

  • Thank You !! Been looking for this song from Clarence Williams for some time now ! It's been one of my favorites since I was a kid - but no one seemed to know who I was talking about.

    Ah, Vindication is Sweet !

  • DEEP. TO DEAD FOR ME .

  • Rascal - is such a cool word hehehehe

  • Clarence Williams was one of the greats. For those who like this song, also check out some of his other songs like: "I Can't Dance - I Got Ants in My Pants", "Won't You Come Over & Say Hello?", "Longshoreman's Blues", and "Pretty Baby is it Yes or No?".

They don't make music like this anymore.

  • this is a great tune.

  • Clarence Wiliiams is such a genious, nothing is better then smoking a pipe and sitting down with some bourbon listening to his records.

  • I do hope you are referring to ganja in your pipe, dear sir.

  • indeed I am.

  • I love this shit!!!

  • haha amazing song. more black humour can't be.

  • Imagine listening to this song in a dARK CREEPY HOUSE. hOW SPOOKY!!!

  • John Fogerty did a version on his self-titled record in 1975.

    Lyrics are re-written I believe.

  • Great song.

  • How violent. This new music is going to end up creating some bad stereotypes.
