There are many quran verses in which the sky is called a dome or a canopy (21 : 32). Similarly there are quran verses which say that Allah "spread out the earth (like a bed)". It also says that sun and moon both float in orbit of the earth.

I have never heard any scientist use the term "spreading out" when referring to the creation of the earth. This verse is far closer to spreading out a map, than it is to making a globe. Even Islamic "scholars" realize this and use a different rationalization.

The "scholars" you quote were born centuries later, hence this is not evidence that these verses do not mean that the earth is round, merely that Muslims discovered that the earth was round 400 years later and then re-interpreted the quran to make it fitting with the facts.
Note how they "re-translate" many verses there, like 21 : 33, to mean something else than accepted translations.

The quran does not claim that the earth is egg-shaped, this is only so in the "re-translations". The generally accepted translations of the quran do not claim this.

@Azotadeth. Actually it does make you smell better as the Prophet Muhammad PBUH introduced cleanliness standards not even met by the civilised world of today. Muslims have been washing themselves after going to the loo (pardon me) for 1400 years. And I would say it does makes you more sane as the Qur'an teaches us to ask for evidence before accepting claims. As for freeing us of disease, the Prophet's lifestyle has been shown to prevent many diseases.

The only reason Islam has gone up in countries like UK is because most of immigrants are Islam & Islam families have the highest birth rate, UK and America are pushing for stricter immigration laws which will slow this down. There are many quran verses in which the sky is called a dome or a canopy (21 : 32). Similarly there are quran verses which say that Allah "spread out the earth (like a bed)". It also says that sun and moon both float in orbit of the earth.

@MOETHEPARTY If there was one ambiguous verse that refers to a flat earth your argument of erroneous translation might be taken seriously. But with over 10 verses saying something similar in every accepted translation it becomes absurd.
I have never heard any scientist use the term "spreading out" when referring to the creation of the earth. This verse is far closer to spreading out a map, than it is to making a globe. Even Islamic "scholars" realize this and use a different rationalization.

These might have very well believed that a God had created humans from dust/water/mud/clot. So yes, it does say something that the quran claims this.

The "scholars" you quote were born centuries later, hence this is not evidence that these verses do not mean that the earth is round, merely that Muslims discovered that the earth was round 400 years later and then re-interpreted the quran to make it fitting with the facts.
Note how they "re-translate" many verses there, like 21 : 33, to mean something else than accepted translations.

In the quran it says clearly that the sky is a dome, the sun and moon revolve around the earth, that God spread out the earth and many similar things. This shows they believed in a flat earth as well.

the trinity is best described in terms of water their is ice water and steam. islam was first spread by war. For example: "Matter cannot be created from nothingness" The fact that there is matter is not best explained by a creator. Who created the creator? Invoking a supernatural explanation is NO explanation. What we have here is wishful thinking and labeling it as rational. Perhaps you should check out Richard Dawkins' book The God Delusion.

You do present a good argument, HOWEVER, all religions are Faith based with no evidence of a God or gods. That being said you can not claim things are true and logical with only one written source with no other facts to support it.
Try using demonstrable evidence that can be tested and reviewed by multiple people and get the same result every time. Thats what atheists are claiming.

@Azotadeth. Actually it does make you smell better as the Prophet Muhammad PBUH introduced cleanliness standards not even met by the civilised world of today. Muslims have been washing themselves after going to the loo (pardon me) for 1400 years. And I would say it does makes you more sane as the Qur'an teaches us to ask for evidence before accepting claims. As for freeing us of disease, the Prophet's lifestyle has been shown to prevent many diseases.

Allow me to doubt that Muhammad followed standard medical sterilization procedures, also, allow me to doubt that his hygiene practices were incredibly awesome and extended when many of the countries where Islam first settled undoubtedly had issues with clean water supplies.
Asking for evidence for everything except for that which you are being told is quite a blatant hipocrisy I'd say.
And all holy texts contain guidelines for health care as dead followers are not much good.
