The Death of Atsumori 〜平敦盛の死〜

Atsumori was just 16 years old making for the beach to escape. Kugamae, a noted Minamoto warrior, called to the escaping Tara and challenged him. Not wanting his legacy as a deserter stopped & faced Kumagae. Of course Kugamae was a chivarlous man. When he stopped and removed Atsumori's helmet he was in a state of shock. His own son had been wounded that day. I suppose in Kugamae's mind the Taira boy became his in an instant. Kumagae shaved his head and became a monk. The Taira were devastated.

Seriously guys, this is awesome. I just went over Atsumori's death in the Heike and also in the Noh theatre play. This reminds me of both- with the music and minimal movements. Don't know if you were going for that at all but i love this anyway.

@nahpeasohian The Mononoke movie is excellent. A movie of many tales wrapped into 1. I have read that in the West the movie is a must before you die; it has not received the same kind of reverence in Japan.

You guys did a pretty good job on this. Considering the resources you were working with, you did a very nice job. One small historical note, the swords are flipped upside down in your video. The blade should be facing up when the weapon is drawn, just a helpful note in case you make more videos, which would be cool. :)
