  • still out of phase granny

  • Whats that thing lit up next to the subwoofers? The thing with the numbers on it .

  • not bad for grandma

  • granny power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • shit my gram is 76 and has 2 15s in her trunk and had no problem racing any little punk around thats what i call the coolest grandma

  • lol crappy subs.

  • @countrysk8er14 dude, for a grandma's car though, it's probably the best of anyone her age

  • what kind of capacitor is that?

  • @TimArmstrong17 a blinking one

  • wow my speakers just turned off and i cant get them back on. good job granny you broke my computer speakers haha

  • I Know The Last Time You And Your Granny (Maybe) Had Problem With 1 Sub , Is It Fixed

  • lol my life dream went from the old man on the porch yelling at kids to "get off my lawn" to an old man cruisin around with crazy bass to keep me alive

  • I have a stock 160 amp alternator in my 2004 grand am and my voltage read out is around 15.25 at a cold start then settles to about 15.1

  • the capasiter looks sick

  • @smiles2390 silicon sound system bass test. I think.

  • song name plzz

  • lol....

  • I'd so install a sub in my grandma's Honda Accord and modify it with a banging stereo.

  • wat song is that I can't find it

  • song name?

  • @valopica 360 sillicoon sound system

  • thats week conparid to myn

    mojo memphis 15

    all the best wireing

  • @dabillyinair

"Conparid" ??? That might be the worst misspelling of a word in the history of the world.

  • hey, allencanda. plz vid one video when u play Bassotronics-Bass I Love YOu.

    PLz plz plz plz plz!!!

  • granny you rock!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha. Capacitors are just to cool. Not good for the system. But hey. It does look cool at least

  • @DarkTinman wanna explain how a capacitor isn't good?

  • Well what a capacitor does is store electricity and then lets it go when you have a "burst" of bass right? Well lets say you are playing a long bass note. Your capacitor will give you that burst and then just suck and draw from your battery. Which causes the amplifier to receive less power.

  • @DarkTinman maybe if you have a shitty cap or some huge amps and subs, i never had that problem and my subs were much better than these

  • Good point. Sorry i talk about big systems more then smaller ones. But if they are small what would be the point of a cap? Then they don't really need a cap.

  • @DarkTinman well you're right to an extent. the reason i had mine is whenever the bass hit is every light in my car went very dim lol kinda got annoying, a cap fixed that though.

  • Oh really? That's the first time i have heard that. I know a cap is supposed to help with dimming lights but a lot of people that get them say that it doesn't help and it just makes it worse.

  • @DarkTinman weird, idk but it worked for me

  • what kind of capacitor is that?? it looks really cool.

  • nice capacitator

  • Think you'll find it's a track for testing subs?

  • what cap is that?

  • trash

  • okay they fixed it?

  • That not that good I have 2 15" orions hcca subs that would kill that that shit with kicker amp 5000 watt 10,000 watt subs

  • Either you stupid or your lieing. You never, EVER have a higher RMS on your drivers than what your amplifer can put out. Your nearly DOUBLING the load on that amplifier, so the harmonic distortion on your drivers are probably unbearable. Either downgrade your subs, or upgrade your amplifier.

Or do nothing and ruin your subwoofers and your amp. (Which I'm guessing your probably going to do)

  • Just because the subs say 10,000wrms together doesn't mean the amp will put out that much. That's just the most power the subs can handle. If his amp is 5000wrms, then the subs are only getting half of that for each.

  • @Nirvalica I'm not quite sure what your getting at. He described his setup to include 2 10,000 watt RMS Orion HCCA sub bass drivers with a 5000 watt kicker amplifier to power them. Now, what I'm saying is that the subwoofers are going to be drawing more power from the amplifier than what the amplifier can put out. This (at high dbs) will cause unbearable amounts of harmonic distortion, and will eventually ruin the voice coils in the sub, and deem the subs garbage.

  • No, but that's not how it works. Subs don't draw power. They just handle the power given to them from the amp. That's what I was trying to say. Otherwise, every time you turn the volume down, the subs would try to draw max power from the amps and end up fucking something up.

  • Comment removed

  • @Nirvalica, you're wrong. Subs will "PULL" power that they arent recieving. Simply put its a speaker, which is a giant coil. When you run electricity through a coil it attempts to perform at what its built for. Too little and the coil will give feedback in the form of electrical current generated from the magnet passing the coil (rather than the opposite which is how its supposed to work, electricity goes through coil and pushes magnet)

Magnet pushing more amps to hte ground means bye bye

  • @Nirvalica

    true lmao

  • Shit... that bass tester had my windows flexin.. get some bigger subs and bigger amps.... my old system when i did that was four 12 inch xpods and two 1200 watt sony amps

  • granny im sorry to tell u but ur system sucks

  • what the name of the song?

  • do what 92blazer4x4 how can a 10 be bigger then a 18 lol i can tell you dont now crap about subs hahahahaha ohh and nice bass allencanada

  • he said he was about 10

    as in age 10

  • wheres granny at? i was looking at this video to see her

  • i wish my granny even had a car

  • yea yellow tops work great that useto happen to my brother with a die hard but never does with a optoma yellow top

  • hey guys I have a Question my sub woofer box flips sometimes and I have to stop the car and fix it what should I do from this being happening

  • strap it down or its a carpet covered box u can put velcro tape down to secure it. lay it flat so sub is firing upwards. try anything

  • bolt the shit down

  • @ShagggDiesel its just a test

  • bolt it down

  • Yeah I remember those. My cousin that got me into car audio had one in a jeep cherokee. I just barely remember but i tried to put my arms around it and only got half way. So it was def bigger than an 18. I think I was around 10...

  • Comment removed

  • sorry, never mind.

  • nice crapasiter

  • go granny!!!!!!!1

  • EV made a 60" sub for use in concerts. I saw one in a little shop in Lodi CA back in '86. And yes, MTX made one... one and only one.

  • dummy theres a 60inch woofer

  • yeah i forgot to mention that sub it was a subsonic sub only good at 20hz and below

  • What type of camera is this? the sound quality is really good on it.

  • Lol, I hope that was sarcasm.

  • Audiobahn made a 34 inch sub back in the early mid 90's. My cousin had one and I remember he actually blew one, and had it in his garage. I was about ten and couldn't get my arms around it. Whole reason i love car audio.

  • wats da name of dat song

  • what is the name to this bass tester?

  • silicon bass tester

  • Now this is alot better but still other people got alot on her no matter what those are pretty weak compared to other peoples subs even my plans on a 4 woofer setup will pwn that haha

  • if you are looking for bass songs, or this song look for this.

    Bass Mechanics

    Bass Testers

    Bass Boy

There are lots, but i know Bass Testers took some songs from Bass Mechanics, because some of Bass Testers songs are shortened versions of Bass Mechanics.

But look in Frostwire or Limewire (The feds [police] look in Limewire btw's)

  • Why does everyone run a capacitor, they do more harm than good. Probably just cuz they think they look good.

  • Most amps have enough power caps inside the housings. They are gimick to get more money out of dumb fucks.

  • @ sircraigery(just in case): do you know if the kicker zx 1000.1 have enough??

  • Hellz yeah man. Any amp over $500 has it's own caps.

If your lights dim with that, you need a bigger output alternator, not a cap.

  • ok. and i need help and this can go to everyone else who is readin. i cant deside on what sub to get. alpine type-x 2 12" or 2 10". kicker cvx 1 15" or 2 12" or maby, maby a solo x 12" or 10"

  • Personally, I have 1-12" L5 kicker, ran from a Alpine 800Wrms monoblock. And it's loud as fuck.

I like the Solo X, but if you don't have 2000W going to them, it's a waste. Maybe some L7's? Do you listen to rap or rock?

  • both :D. and why a waste?

  • If you listen to rock, go with 10's, rap 12, bass music 15's. But 15's will sound like complete shit for rock, so don't buy them.

If you have too little power for the sub, energy is wasted trying to push around the heavy sub cone due to the magnet's forces.

  • mk. so its 12" for sure. but now its either alpine or kicker and 4 ohms or 2. oh and sry for takin so long i just want a good system :D

  • What's your amp? The kicker?

  • its going to be the kicker zx 1000.1 and ima get 2 and put one on each sub XD. i was going to go with the alpine pdx 1000.1 but its wayyy to much.

  • Yeah, nice man. Honestly, your car will be fine with one. Spend the extra cash and get it pro installed for SPL by a COMPETENT shop (ie: not bestbuy).

My system out pounds others with 4 - 12s. A good professional and efficient install is key once you have enough power.

... Although, if you've got extra cash then fuck it, DO BOTH... LOL

  • what about frys? cause my friend got his installed there i think. but besides that i have a good idea of where to get it installed. plus im buildin my own enclosure!!!XD

  • i've been out of the game for a few years, so I'm not sure about frys. i don't think we have those in canada haha.

  • lol ok. ill just go in and have them do it. thanks for the help!

  • if you can ask the guy what's in a high pass filter, or a low pass filter....and he can tell you, it's an ok shop to get things done haha

  • where did you get this song

  • thats a clean capacitor!

  • silicon sound system

  • I got two kicker cvr 15'... and i got a 40 60 and 80 fuse... how should i hook it up like at the fuse box and on the actual amp... not sure what amps rated for ... or should i get some new fuses... =/ ?

  • watt kind of amp bc if its over 1000 watts rms u need 120 fuse underhood

  • where do you find these ghz sweeps i rele need to find some.

  • the realm of excursion site

  • II fucking love this granny i want her system LOL

  • lol i think this is from the album "it came from outer bass"

  • whats the name of that tester?

  • That's not a good thing... you're gonna fry your amp doing that, not to mention all the heat distortion that amp's putting to your subs

  • ^shanep1223

  • Uh... If the subs are good quality and are driven within their rated parameters with the correct amp, this will not at all harm them, they are doing their job. These subs went through the whole test track without even a whimper.

  • Not these subs, my comment was a response to shanep1223 who said he had a 14 to 9 volt drop in his system. All he's doing is killing his amp and causing heat distortion to the signal.

  • Okay, thats Understandable, sorry. as I understand, a voltage drop means the internal inverter of the amp (the DC-DC internal converter circuit that steps the 13.8v to something like 40 volts for the amp circuit) has to work harder to step up the dropped voltage, meaning more current draw to compensate and things sort of snowball to the point of power supply burnout. I have burnt out a 12 volt laptop charger (a 12 to 22 volt dc-dc converter) because the gel cell I was using went flat.

  • although there are some car amps that have undervoltage protection in their internal DC-DC converters, to prevent burnouts from bad installations, but the problem is, not all of them have it.

  • Right, JL Audio incorporates it in their slash series in the RIPS system. I do love my 1000/1 :)

  • Thank you! Someone that knows what they're talking about! You've restored some of my faith in youtube

  • your a fucking retard you don't have one fucking idea what your rambling abou. stfu learn your shit then you may leave comments, not dumb assed ones eather.

  • Oh I see I'm "dumb assed" and don't know what I'm talking about... If you think a 5 volt drop is a good thing I guess you got me. I don't know anything. Congratulations, now you can take the free time you have from winning this argument and learn to fucking spell correctly. Have a nice day. Tool.

  • That's not a good thing... you're gonna fry your amp doing that, not to mention all the heat distortion that amp's putting to your subs ..... i was talking about this....

  • Exactly....shanep1223 said "thats nothing mine drops from high 14 to high 9"...on what world would a 5 volt drop not seriously damage the circuitry in your amp? The harder the amp has to work to create power the more heat is created and that starts sending dirtier signal to the subs not to mention the just plain hell it puts your amp through. Take a look at Cringle84's example of the laptop charger burning out.

  • what is the name of this song

  • man all you guys are baggin on granny man thats fucked up she is just trying to have fun with her shit, and you with the 6 18s i can kick your ass anyday, with my one mojo

  • And you are bragging about your car's electrical system not being able to produce enough volts? Wow, what do you have, Xplodes?

  • this is fukin shit, my car system shits all over this u old bag. even my system thats simply in my bedroom is better, im running 6 18" subs that peak 2500 W rms

    your a joke,

get a life......its great to think your still eighteen but on the outside u look like shit...an old wrinkly bitch

  • 2500 watts your the joke here my 4 10" spl's is a toatal of 7,800 watts 5,000 watt amp power baby no offense but for 6 18's thats not to good.

  • you're all fuckin losers

  • Youre all fuckin losers?Where did you come from and you don't even know who my comment pertains to you fucking inbred hillbilly you probably got a 3" inch sub and think your cool? You're the fucking loser you don't even know what SPL means.Fuck you.

  • You're all fuckin losers because you're arguing and bitching about Grandma's subs, get a life.

    Yes, I have a 3 inch sub....

What's SPL? I've never heard of that before...

Call me when...scratch that...IF you graduate high school, dipshit. The way you type you're probably goin for your GED right now.

I bet you don't know what that is do you?

  • there is no suck things as 18s you dumb fuck the go as high as 15s think before you speak i bet you dont even have a system u dumb fuck

  • lol i hope this is a fukn joke because there is such thing as a 18" subwoofer hell they make 21" subwoofers and if you include the retarded jackhammer from mtx its a 22" so think before you type asshat

  • go back 2 school.

They make past 36", stop trying to be a smart ass and learn your shit.

  • haha lol

  • they do make 18s dumbass.

    think before you write douchebag

  • owned douchefag!

  • lol what an idiot

  • Wow your stupid! You've never heard of steve meade? Just type in 18 inch subwoofer. And besides MTX made a 60 inch subwoofer and audiobahn has a 30inch and incriminator audio has a 21 inch death penalty subwoofer. do your homework before you start yelling out shit!

  • There is a point that running a ground to your battery is more beneficial than to the frame or body.

  • What kind of wire do you have going to that amp? You might even think about going straight to the battery with your ground.

  • rockford fosgate ?

  • i like the "condensator" or what it called x'D :DD

  • you mean capacitor

(pardon my spelling if i spelled it wrong :P)

  • thats that song called?

  • lol its on limewire...just search for bass test..it will show up eventually lol

  • no it doesnt... i searched many times and dowload at lot of shit but no hz testers.... or something like that xD

  • lol theres tonz of bass tests on limewire..ive downloaded tons of em b4...and im sure they didnt just disappear....so u must have Out Of Band searching switched off....

  • SSS Bass Test

  • hits well little to no distortion

  • shit aint even herz

  • nice vid who is that cap made by and where did u get it from

  • looks alot like a Tsunami to me. ive got a 5 farad one not installed yet, maybe its a newer one or something cause mine is only supposed to light up in blue.

chances are ill sell it to someone and get a yellow top deep cycle batt instead.

  • it looks like a 2.5 farad my friend got i think its called keystone or something like that

  • the tune is: Bass Test - 360 Hz - 10 Hz Silicon Sound System(1).mp3

  • grandma needs more power.

  • i think that system look better than it sounds

  • whats the name of this song im going crazy

  • get FLstudio and produce your own lol

  • Let me start by saying this; I will never run a cap in my car, nor for my customers cars. Caps may help, if you have an inefficient amp, too small power and/or ground wire, poor ground, or a weak alternator/battery setup... I run my Hifonics at 1 ohm with the heater blowin' at full, headlights on, and demoing to some customers, and you can hardly tell a voltage drop in the lights. I only have a brand new batt and rebuilt alternator! It's your delivorence and amp efficency.

  • 1 Ohm thats very low! you must have loud system? whats the damping factor on this amp? sounds like it has good input sensitivity or you have a good H.U. in anycase the capacitor helps, its no battery! but if you can get away with it its worth a shot. how much extra did you pay for the battery isolator or do you have a voltage monitor built in? safety first!

  • I just got a Voltometer in my 3g Accord, and at full tilt, the most I see is the 14v go down to 13.7 (where it should be).

  • Thats nice what do you have for stereo? Stock. i have a 170 amp alternator in my escort and can draw 1000rms without going below 14.2 so sip this!

  • 170amp alt can handle like 2000+rms, so why are you saying 1000rms doesnt drop under 14.3, see 2000rms and see if it stays above 13.8

  • u wanna see voltage drop check my vid my stock alternator with optima my shit goes from 13.7 down to a horrible 12

  • Then something is WRONG with your electrical.

I run my Hifonics BX1000D to 2 12" Mass Destruction Sidewinders all day long at 1 ohm, and it rarely drops .3 volts WITHOUT A CAP... And Honda alts aren't so good... Maybe 65amps new.

  • no im runnin 2200 watts rms 3500 peak and my alternator is either an 80 or 105 amp and that much voltage drop is when im at idle when im drivin it rarely gets below 12.7 which is still bad im gettin a new 200 amp alt soon tho ill see how that does

  • if any of you seen the first... it was waaaaaaaaayyyy out of phase... and ill say it again... that is prolly her grandsons ;p

  • Camera quality sucks, but nice system!!

  • ok people... Alternator charges the battery...K...battery charges the capasitor...k...capasitor goes to the amplifier...k...amp to the subwoofers/speakers. start at the begining the alternator, some cars dont have alternators that can power much more than the options that come on the car let alone a couple thousand watts.get a good alternator and battery you could run just about anything!

  • ok a capasitor helps a little but if u put a red top optima right b4 the amp ull get better sound thats what i have to do with my civic but i need 2 red top optimas for my 2 15 inch powerbass 3xl subs

  • step up to a yellow top deep cycle! even more continous power. get a better alternator aswell u will litterally cook ur red tops if the alternator is working too hard it will over charge. good call with the optima!!!

  • An amp draws 12 volts of power from the battery and uses it to charge bunches of capacitors in the amp, these mini caps discharge the voltage at once resulting in a big discharge of power to the speakers known as watts, if the amp can't draw enough power from the battery to charge the caps then the amp doesn't put out its full potential, the Caps do help by adding a cap it fills you the extra voltage needed to keep your amp fully powered up thats what a cap does.

  • it makes a big difference, the subs hit the lows alot better

  • There would be more power going to the amp, instead of raping it from your battery.

  • honestly dude u dont know shit about car audio

if you new even the slightest bit then you would know that a cap helps ALOT

especialy if you have a amp that cant fully power your subs then the cap will give it that extra boost to do so

    learn ur stuff n00b :\

  • If that reply is to me, do you think I am a fucking retard? If you read what I said you would have realized I said the exact thing you did, but without the insults and being complicated.

  • my bad dude i miss understood it

i read it to fast, i thought u were sayin the cap robs the power from the amp and just waistes the power

    my bad again

  • It happens ;)

  • yea, thanx for understanding and not goin all ape shit on my ass like some other people do :D

    lol

  • I can't blame them, im sick of all the random haters on Youtube.

It seems everyday im arguing with some cunt about something or other.

And I never lose those arguments, plainly because people are complete idiots who cant argue, so they give up or embarrass themselves so much they never come back ;)

  • cap dont help shit if u got a bad batt shitty alternator and small wires all a cap does is store a small amount of power so you amp does not clip i got 2 optima yellow tops new alternator removed a cap cause i dont need it any more.
