Well, for the pros, they usually use Canon or Nikon (for digital camera only). For other purposes such as large negative (4x5 film) camera, they only use European-made cameras. They almost don't buy Mamiya or Leica cameras just for digital shooting, just waste of money.

if the a77 didn't have that ridiculous sensor and would have stuck with 16 it would be the best camera on the market right now, but because of Sonys stupidity they crammed all those megapixes into a small sensor creating a beat of noise and horrible iso performance. Thanks a lot Sony.

Canon's "L" lenses are better than just there standard lenses hence why they cost 3 times the price of a normal canon lense

Judging from the image quality, I would say Sony has a much more vibrant color definition, but to be realistic, they both will work about the same cinematicly. you can always color correct in post, so its no problem about the color. I think the only advantage the A77 has is that it can auto focus, but most filming you will do will be manual. I guess it's all just a preference on these 2. if you like Sony get the A77, if you like Canon get the D7

they're so similar to the extent that when you take them into a program such as finalcutpro and color correct or anything similar, they'd be identical.

Also the dullness in the Canon is due to the manufacturers settings, It is set with low white balance and the Sony has its features already pre-adjusted in the manufacturers settings. I won't lie though, Sony's translucent mirror and autofocus does outshine the 7D. But in terms of camera quality (Not just the movie-mode) I'd say Canon won.

I think the a77 is much sharper. also why arent these videos being put on your main channel? I believe there just as good as all your other videos
