I know its an old video...but in my opinion google are brining these concerns in order to escape the image of what they undoubtedly are; a mass archive of powerful proportions; they have so much information on each individual on the web, and this surely, is a very powerful position to be in. It seems to be in their interest for people to be on the web, and to associate themselves with a way in which someone can erase themselves from the internet is probably just to ensure they come across well.
