LOL i used to bunk my English class when I was in 12 grade in Pakistan because of this novel. Then we had a quiz one day and I had to read it, believe me I fell in love with this novel and took all the classes afterwards. Good old days.
Just google "goodbye mr chips 1939" and the search will throw up the sites you may be able to download from. I have the movie though but have never bothered to upload as wondered who would want such and old movie???
@IrtzaShahan Aray Yaar Chips ne kisi Pakistani ko nahi choda ahahahah :) Sab Ne Zor Diya Ke kisi Tarha Chips Pad ke hi Passing Marks Ley Ayeen.I remember those feelings ahahaha It was so fun studying it as I never understood it ever. But I hope that the Movie would be fine and exciting. But shall watch it latter on.Ramazan Hai Bhhaii :) Aur cherokee1002 Thanks a lot for providing a page to take out some old frustration By Uploading this wonderful Movie but I wanna watch the Original of 1939
I like the opening scene of Chips calling role. The camera goes from a close up of Peter O'Toole at ground level then up over thirty feet above ground and then pans to the right all in one shot over a span of 90 seconds. The first part is kind of shakey but I'll forgive the cinemaphotographer for that.
@EnjayElliott That is a matter of opinion not fact. I've seen them both and I like this version (1969) better. I know the first one is highly acclaimed and this one is not but I know what I like and I like this one much better.
sacred duty wow,i do understand, that is remarkably fluent but i think i'd prefer the words to be your own rather than those of professor jackob's guide to classic

I looked for a clip from this film to send to a friend whose son is studying at the school shown in the film. I am therefore delighted to see the whole film here. I have my mother visiting me and I am sure she will also be delighted to watch it this evening. Thank you for posting - a very nice surprise considering I only hoped for a one minute clip of the school!
Ah, I love this movie. It was my very first date with the beloved EVE (long since disappeared) at the tender age of fourteen. Thank you for putting this up! Pilamaye, pilamaye!
@4260laurel Who are you to tell anyone to go somewhere else?? This is a disappointing movie, there is no chemistry between O'T and PC, the dialogue is mostly uninspired, and even the admittedly touching final moments cannot lift this flick from it's overall dullness. Only one of the songs is memorable and it overuses Fill the World's melody line to the point of annoyance. I would have liked to see PC matched with someone else even as PO is still one of the greats.
I rally Like Mr.Chips because that Novel is consist in my sallaybus of 2nd year in Pakistan. Mr.Chips was a great man . I like most because he tried to taught many boys including Colley. Colley was the boy who had dropped the desk lid on the first class of Mr.Chips. Mr.Chips taught Colley and then his son and then His GrandSon.
thanks for putting this up. All enjoy it while you can as it may disappear much too soon. I may try to just grab the videos of the song - Fill the World with Love - from here, the middle, and the end. It's about 6 minutes because nowhere in the film are all the verses sung in order.
Disgusting Movie Disgusting Novel but Thanks to the Uploader :)
Cheers mate :-D

It is sad that only the upper elite had an opportunity for the type of education that Brookfield offered to its students.
The English working class was downtrodden and exploited.
I am not for elitism but this was a good movie.

Noble Effort cherokee1002 for putting this show up. I am sure it was a bit sticky to get that VHS tape to transfer. Good Job.
I was wondering how you liked the modern ITV version of Mr Chips. From what I understand it is closer to the novel.
Peace.
