Okay, I'm trying to be really delicate in asking this but, if you're an American, and you live in Japan, does anyone ever ask you how you feel about the two big things we dropped on them during the war? I want to move over there badly, but I would feel like that's always at the back of peoples' minds when they look at me, because I'm American. I wouldn't even know what to say if someone brought it up. Please, nobody start a flamewar from this comment.

There's faults on both sides in the war, but those bombs killed way more people, and I don't even understand how they moved back in with the radiation there. I'm guessing only older Japanese people would even care to bring it up. But say I moved to Japan and became a celebrity over there with my music or something, and an interviewer asked me about it? No idea what to say. I'd refuse to answer, but that might be bad.

@purple55shin Right on. And I know there's a big movement for world peace in modern Japan, too. About the only good to come of those bombs is that both sides were horrified into wanting to never fight each other again. It may not have seemed, at first, like Americans were horrified by it, but look what happened right after: the hippie movement, and peace movement. So, even Americans were deeply saddened by it.

The only way to get a steak that melts in your mouth in the US is to go to a restaurant that charges and arm and a leg or to buy Wagyu beef, which will also cost you an arm and in a leg. USDA just doesn't cut it.

I don't eat steak, but man that looked good. I wonder how they heat up that rock to get it to stay hot for so long. Is there a hidden heating compartment inside that they're keeping a secret? Is that why they took it away quickly right after you were done?

@kymm00 Rocks like that retain heat for a very long time. They likely place it in a very hot oven for a while to heat it all the way through. As it sits on the table, it cools slightly, but the heat keeps rising to the top of the rock.  Eventually the bottom of the rock will be slightly warm to the touch while the top will still be very hot.
