I'll agree with Mathaius... the manga is much more detailed and for some reason, they the made the anime before the story was even complete. I can't deny that the anime was awesome, but after reading the manga afterwords, I was completely frustrated with how many differences there were in the storyline. Oh, and the ending in the manga...sooooo much better than anime's.

Easily the best song on the soundtrack, often overlooked due to Lilium's popularity. As far as Elfen Lied continuing, I am glad it isn't. The series left you with just the right feeling at the end. Anything more could potentially ruin all the good feelings we have about the series now.

No more Elfen Lied episodes are coming out, they ended the series here because they got ahead of the manga If you want more of the story you have to read the manga, It goes on to what you could call "season 2": but its just how the story is meant to end originally

Animes seldom tend to follow the mangas and vice-versa. There are some exceptions, but not many. Bleach, Naruto, and Toradora would be some that do follow. Would have been nice if the manga and anime were on the same storyline, but oh well.

I agree that the anime was really really beautiful and has left me with a very strange mixed emotional feeling after watching all episodes in a row til 4 o clock in the night. The manga is very neat too and I think you should not compare manga to anime. However I always prefer good anime above good manga =) The music, the voices, it can make me cry.. although I never really cry, but I do get very emotional xD
