Too much exposition. Matt Lucas is naturally hilarious on his own, but the sketch comedy aspect of LB has never been any funnier than Saturday Night Live. Some great meat in a banality sandwich. Like SNL, jokes are extended WAYYYYY beyond the lifespan of the punchlines. The British version is rife with the kind of jokes that Chris Elliot and Bob Smigal wrote in the 1980's and thru the 90's. It's nothing new, only that the accents make them "exotic" to Americans who think they're cultured.

Little Britain is awesome! Glad they have some new material after going through withdrawals. Vicky and Bubbles still rule. Guess HBO was one of the few channels in the US where they could show LB uncensored without getting sued. Glad they still have Tom Baker as the narrator.

It's not a traditional laugh track, the nights they do in studio segments they show the pretaped stuff to the audience and record the laughs then, those are people really laughing at the jokes, same as the british version.

Ugh, this is bad! Season 1 and 2 are much funnier b/c it's so far removed from anything American. This is the wrong direction to go in, in my opinion.

Series 3 in the UK was extraordinarily boring IMO. But that won't stop Walliams and Lucas from their lame attempt to make more money from the same characters in the US.

Americans... search The League of Gentlemen instead. Darker and much funnier. And at least LOG had the decency to stop at the third series.

Yeah, I agree. It's irritating and draws you out of the show. The good thing about the original British show is that it was filmed live in the studio. The laughs were genuine.
