heres the capacitor, its not plugged in so its fine, lets ground it out with our hands. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! your gonna kill yourself dude. next time do me a favor and take a screw driver to both leads a couple of times before you go routing around by it with your hands.
I've noticed there's plenty of knowledgeable posters here. Can someone tell me what the other coil of wire is within the transformer? i believe it's just a copper coated tin or aluminum. It's much lighter and silver on the interior.
That was the most entertaining vid ive seen for a long time "ground out the cap haha"
"radiation crap" its called a magnatron hehehe.Flip Flops open toes blood on the legs due to a cut cos you are in shorts sat on the floor pulling sharp steel plate apart with bare hands.Trying to rush the job. Using the wrong tools (hence the screwdriver bit keeps falling out) cos it aint long enough and you are unwinding the chuck. Please the next vid i aint stopped laughing should see blood on the next one.
dude oyu cant ground out the cap to the thing thats not grounded! if that was still holding voltage, it would have shocked the shit out of you if you were touching the metal housing.. just thought you should know, youve been lucky until now.. you do NOT want to get shocked by 250 volts
You can get a longer bit holder for your drill, to avoid your mandrel from rubbing against the box and loosening. It's doing the same thing (but in reverse) that you do when you tighten the mandrel... It's not Craftsman's fault.
Looked like a new oven, did you ever think to try it and possibly sell it for more money?? Sanyo makes the magnetron, perhaps not the rest of it. You are very inept and wait till you find out they no longer put transformers in microwave ovens. You wouldn't know a piece of crap if it hit you on the head and obviously you know absolutely nothing about appliances.
@shinywatch Actually you can put metal in a microwave, but avoid anything pointy, or too small. A solid ball of metal would be the best, as long as it's big enough
sanyo is who makes the motor you fuktard not the microwave just like japanese companies making radios and other electronics for chevy and ford american vehicles...wow

@mizzoumail Right on, I'd never wear sandals to do that stuff. I've also seen videos of people doing blacksmith work in sandals or flip flops. My luck would never hold out for that.
Hey can you save me some Microwave touch control panels???? I would give you $5 a piece for them, plus shipping. I take them and I unsolder the chips and use the microchips in other things, or I use the touch pad as a whole for other projects. This one you scrapped has a really good control panel, the Kenmore control panels are very good for my projects. Do you still have the touch control panel from this one here??? You an email me at shawng32@gmail.com Thanks
all of that work just for a piece of transformer and then add another labor of getting that copper out. You got to be kidding me. 2 lb of copper would only give you the max of $5-$6 with a total of 1 hours of complete labor. You make less than a guy flipping burger. GIVE IT UP!
@kwxj61b ahh for some of us its a part time hobby/job. instead of sitting in front of the tube i scrap stuff then on the weekends i take my scrap in and make my "mad money". bought me a trailer and a used four wheeler and now am paying for a brand new 800 can-am four wheeler just out of junk money. it adds up believe me.
The star screw with the pin coming up in the middle is a security screw. You can get a good kit of security bits at Harbor Freight. They are pretty cheap. Make a workbench. Hell of a lot easier. Keep on Scrappin.
You could tell people where to find scrap stuff too.
He could just cut out all the useless stuff n make this into 1 video... i dun think many people will watch 30mins of tape to see how to break a microwave open...
it has nothing to with the drill being a craftman. its you who is making the chuck touch the side of the part u are removing. thats y the bit is coming out. i think u need to learn about patience. pay attention to what u are doing before blaming the tool u are using.
Is this what I look like when I'm trying to get something apart? LOL!!! I love it!

for the bolts with the weird hex heads and the post in the center...use a ceterpunch,
give it a couple good taps with the hammer, and it mushrooms that post so you can get an
allen wrench in.

Why strip the copper if it still might work? If it works, spend one minute posting an add on Craigslist and make 10x more money.
