Actually what is coming out the tail is an ADF antenna it is use for low frequencies on the band of AM radio,it is also call a Radio Direction Finder.

I love EMB 175 owned by Polish airlines LOT. It's very comfortable and spaciuos aircraft. I'm glad that LOT uses these birds. I hope polish air force will oreder a few E-jets. Greetings from Poland!
